    At 24:14, you describe the green player's starting card giving 1 random weapon. The rulebook says on page 12, "Draw 3 Weapons from the cloth bag. Choose 1 Weapon to keep and discard the remaining 2 to the top of the Weapon discard stack."

    I can’t tell you how excited I was when I woke up this morning to back Yedo, a game I’ve been waiting to see launch on Kickstarter for months. But before I even opened Kickstarter I checked TH-cam to see if you had uploaded another play through. And the stars aligned: you covered Yedo. My lucky day. I love your work Jon, I bought Teotihuacan based on your play through and plan to get Imperium, again based on your play through. NSKN and JonGetsGames is a match made in my heaven. Thank you and keep up the good work.

    That's a beautiful board! Not sure how easy it is to see the important gameplay stuff while playing. Would love to try this!

      I played it today. I love it. A bit confusing at first, and I found first setup a hassle but great after.

    This game seems to be all over the place. It's a potpourri of a game. It is that you explain what type of actions you can do but it does not seem to be intuitive.

    Do you get any points for the final scoring if you have Geisha tokens at the end of the game?

      I hate to say it, but it's been too long since I made this to remember a detail like this to give you a good answer.

    Just watching your video and I do like how you choose a card for a player but you don't show the viewer. This also allows you to skip telling the viewer why you picked it until the card is used. Nice touch.

    • @JonGetsGames
      @JonGetsGames  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Over the years I've tried to streamline my process to show as little "non us" player decisions to keep the playtime of the video reasonable. I'm glad you like this style :)

    Shame about the colour density and design of the board. Makes it so difficult for me to make out what's what. Seems to be getting more common.

      In the KS campaign they have a double sided board, and presumably the other side should have the graphics background dimmed, so the icons and play elements are much more visible.

    • @zakkoehler6820
      @zakkoehler6820 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      This is correct, double sided board with a muted version on one side and regular on the other side.

      As the others said. There is also a normal board and a mat version, both have two sides and it’s great

    The problem with this game is the accidental blocking that happens all the time. To complete a mission, you may need to go to the green, red, and yellow zone. You need all three but you have no idea what zones other players need to go to. So you pick based on maybes in your mind, and if you get to only 2 of the 3 locations, then too bad, you can't compete your mission, try again next round. Except maybe you can't do next round because the guard is now in the yellow zone, arresting all workers that go there. Theres lots of other issues as well that make the game frustrating.

    • @alam1000malam
      @alam1000malam 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It is worker placement, hello..have you ever play any other worker placement games. This is competitive game, it means "Life isn't easy", everything not always according to your plan. Improvise, prepare plan A B C and so on, strategize your move, thinking ahead, be flexible. This game is not for everyone, but this is great game.

    • @valentinedpg
      @valentinedpg 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@alam1000malam adding to that ..it's a game - a board game. I'm exactly sure if you have ever played a board game before.. or any game in general... That's the whole point of it. Compeitition.

      It sounds to me like you should stick to games that have nothing to do with chance or randomness.

    Jon this is just a suggestion for positive input, please record it with a better microphone. Your audio is not good. Sounds shaky like a muffled radio. Hope it will be considered in the future.

    • @JonGetsGames
      @JonGetsGames  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Audio quality is such an illusive beast for me. I've used many microphones over the years and the one I have right now cost several hundred dollars. Every time I change I ask for input and I get an equal number of people saying it sounds great compared to those who dislike it and I'm not sure where to go with it these days. It sounds amazing to me when I edit it, but then others seem to hear things that I don't. Sorry this one didn't sound good for you.

      YT's compression may have something to do with it?
