    Outstanding play-through Jon. We purchased this based on your video and must have watched this about half a dozen times, we’ve barely had to refer to the rule book.
    After only a few plays it may just well find it’s way into our top 3. Such a great mix of simplicity and complexity, the new artwork is beautiful too. Keep up the great work.

    Great board game tutorial creator. Horrible criminal master mind. "Take this cane and these rocks and go steal that golden statue."

    Ahh Jon! I thought I was safe from backing this. A video like this might push me over the edge!

    If you had achieved that last mission with your monk instead of your messenger, you would've been able to fulfill the green quest AND the bonus. Ultimately only a 1 point swing (you would've lost 2 points for being tied on missions for your bonus card) but... arrgh.Also, at 1:25:30, your skip note in the top right says "Skip to f." I'm pretty sure it means to say "Skip to final scoring - 1:33:22"

      Oh jeez, I hate it when typos get into these videos. Believe it or not, I check every single one before I render so I really don't know how this slipped in.

    the coins are very confusing. the pictures on the game elements are 1, 5, and 10. however, the coins themselves are 1, 3, and 5.

      That's the unfortunate part of filming with a prototype, I noticed this as well.

    If you play the full 11 rounds, will there be more missions? The game looks nice, and great job as always.

      I only checked the rules for the 6 round game and have since shipped my copy on so I can't check. I'd suggest asking on the Boardgame Geek forums.

    OHHHH the GATE district. Thant makes more sense.

    Did they change the rules so that you aren't required to take an action with a disciple played in a district? In the last turn of the game you just removed the last two disciples from the red light district without taking an action. I don't think it would have changed anything as you had more money than you needed to max out the money bonus card and yellow didn't have any bonus cards that were affected by having money or Geisha.

      They didn't, I slipped up and forgot about that rule at the end of the video. I'll add corrections to the Klingon subtitles.

    Looks like a slightly dated design. It looks fiddly for the weight, and it also looks surprisingly random and lucky with the random draw missions and weapons. I want to want this, but I’m not convinced yet...

      Yedo is one of my ten best games - it's so good, so mean, so fun, worker placement++ - dated yes because it is old. I can't believe they made some new 'edition' (but it looks awfully similar). Go find the original edition, pay for a used copy and you'll see. YES as many games randomness is present, and I would say it's more about control of that randomness and not mitigation per-se. Sit back and laugh at things. Don't get sour if a player completely denies you of your 10 bonus points. Unfair? Life isn't, and you also have a chance to do that too next time! :)

      If you don't like randomness or interaction then avoid Yedo. My only complaint is the length of the game. Auctions, negotiations can really drag. Still backing it as I like the ability to complete missions;
