I do hope someone from Musescore reads this... I appreciate all the incredible effort towards building MuseScore 4.2, as a guitarist who's been eagerly awaiting bends. HOWEVER.... it's still not quite there :/ oftentimes bends will go up & the guitarist, as the note's being held, slightly releases the tension of the bend, bringing the string back to an "unbent" or "less bent" state. In Musescore 3, you can easily do this, adding multiple nodes for the bend, but it's still not possible with MuseScore 4.2, which is really disappointing. I don't really understand why Musescore would force just a few set types of bends, locking you into only 2 nodes on the pitch graph. It's just trying to model the "real world", and in the real world not all bends are perfectly 1/4 step, without any release, or a full-step without any release. Again I really laud the efforts of the open-source devs & love that aspect of Musescore, but I'll be sticking with Musescore 3

Thanks for continuing to improve this product! I use it all the time - two small things that would make a big difference for me are:
    1. Being able to put a tie on the last note of a measure before a repeat sign, which is then tied to the first note of the measure you’re repeating to. In practice this looks like a tie to nowhere, but it’s something I often want to do in a jazz context. I currently work around this with a slur, but it’s not ideal.
    2. When inputting chord symbols, Sibelius had a nice feature where you could hit the tab key to skip to the start of the next measure. I really miss this feature as it allowed me to transcribe chords in real time as the recording of a song was playing.

I'm hoping that the new guitar library will be able to handle dead notes for bass. In previous versions, it is easy to mark the notehead as being a dead(ghost) note, but it still sounds as if it was a normal note. One can silence that note, but again, that isn't what a ghostnote should sound like. Fingers crossed.

When I first saw this I got really excited from the thought of more features coming for the guitar. But when I downloaded the sounds and checked it on one of my scores I was instantly disappointed. There wasn't a new sound for the classical guitar instead it was labelled nylon stringed accoustic guitar which is ok in my opinion but the sound was nothing like a classical guitar you could clearly hear some sort of pick being used and it was impossible to use in any classical guitar piece. I get that our instrument doesn't get a lot of attention but when the instrument is there on the selection page couldn't there atleast be a decent sound for it. Other than that the tuning indicators didn't work but maybe that's a temporary problem.

There are extended range acoustic & electric guitars so we've gotta extend the sound range of all of the sounds too.

We can't give a timeline just yet, but we are working on percussion in all forms 🥁

As an open letter from the marching percussion community, we would LOVE this. MDL made drumline composing accessible to so many students and teachers and having that be compatible with the improved version of musescore would blow the roof off the marching game!

i'm loving all of the work you're putting into this ever-improving app! i was wondering if musesounds will ever include a euphonium sound as well?

Can't say when, but we definitely are committed to continuing to expand Muse Sounds into the future.

Cool, let's hope that the Electric Bass sound will get a larger note range so we can go below D1 down to B0 (if not lower down to A0, etc.) for more versatility.

It makes me happy that open source projects are getting better and better each day. That's the future!
I only need to get rid of my childhood addiction to Windows, switch to Linux and that's it 🙂
Thanks again and I wish you all the best in the future!

Linux Mint comes with the cinammon desktop by default. For someone getting into Linux I would suggest trying it on a VM and seeing if you like it

Thank you very much for this amazing free tool. I was able to recover a file where I recorded a composition more than 20 years ago, with invaluable sentimental value.

I don't know what composing for guitar is like, does competing software have all these features for guitar? That seems very powerful
