I can not be more happy to see Musescore just continue to improve over time. It is unreal what you guys have achieved and millions of musicians thank you!
It wouldn't be possible without your support, thank you!
I'm so appreciative of MuseScore and the team and community behind it. There's so much needed product innovation within this sphere which has grown stagnant over the past decade, but you're really bringing it back to life and are building something that will truly shine. Great work, and keep it up!
Thanks for your kind words!
The improved performance in this update is greatly appreciated, I have noticed that Musescore 4.0 has been quite slow with Muse Sounds enabled, even on good hardware.
We hope you have a smoother experience now 👍
I remember the first time I used Musescore back in 2011 when I was in 8th grade. I was arranging a piece for our middle school band concert and found this free software. To see how far it’s come since then is absolutely amazing! I appreciate you all so much for your efforts! The end result of my scores keep sounding better and better, yes because I’ve learned more in composition, but because Musescore has achieved greater things too! Thank you!!
Wow, MuseScore has been in your life for over a decade now! Thanks for your kind words
accidentals ornaments FINALLY
thank you SO much for this update, (i think this is THE update that really just leveled up the entire performance) we can also adjust the reverb for each instrument too? wow, thats just amazing...
You guys are amazing. As a orchestral musician and Recording engineer this app just gets better and better. I honestly don't worry about needing an alternative in the future because you always deliver quality to the program.
As a guitarist that uses Musescore primarily to write guitar parts, I’ve been waiting so long for these capo improvements. Thank you for making it happen with 4.1! So excited for this upgrade and all the other improvements.
Hope you find it useful! We'll also be looking at guitar bend notation too for future releases
@@musescore wow
I really really REALLY appreciate what you all do for the music community. Your hard work has made it possible for so many people to enjoy writing music. Not only is it free, it is also easy to use and the sounds in Musescore 4 are just spectacular! Please keep up the phenomenal work
the app that literally changed my life, I don't make a living out of music (I have it as a hobby) but I just can't go on without creating something and MuseScore has been my loyal companion since the very beginning
Since I was very young I loved composing music. I'm from a poor background so I couldn't afford instruments or even afford somo or other DAW that would allow me to express myself freely. Musescore has provided me this opportunity. I finally have a very good idea what my composition sounds like when played. I cannot thank the musescore team enough.
Simply insane work. The Braille feature is just next level. Kudos to everybody working on this amazing project!
I've used musescore since 2013 and it's great to see how much it has improved since then.
I bet tantatrul is real happy with that background music 😂
Hahaha he sure is. That's some premium "nothing music" right there! :-P
No comment
massive musescore W. your guys have carried my composition career over the last several years and we all appreciate the insane amount of work going into this stuff.
I can't begin to tell you how impressive and valuable your contributions have been to this system, which was good before but now are astounding. That Audacity is in the same family now is also a major boon. Thanks so much.
simply fantastic software. Been using it since musescore 4 came out. Thank you Musescore
This is good news! It's amazing that MuseScore is developing so much. I hope to add functions such as piano roll, MIDI editing, and MIDI channel setting in the near future.
I played with MuseScore 4.1 today for the first time: the MuseScore Team is doing some incredible work: Thank you!!!!
I'm amazed at the Braille music notation functions!
Awesome! Looking forward to having a look.
Amazing! The only thing that is missing is a real-time MIDI input/transcription function (like Logic/Cubase/DP, etc). I switched from Finale last year and Musescore is better in every way except MIDI.
Absolutely incredible. Thanks for all the hard work!
The Braille features are a wonderful addition - thanks!
YES I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR TGE ORNAMENTATION UPDATE FOR MY WHOLE LIFE I CAN DIE HAPPY
This is great! Thanks to all involved.
it's amazing to see how far Musescore has come. i starrted using Musescore 1 and now to see 4.1 it's an incredible achievement
Thanks for the consistent QoL updates! You guys are incredible ❤
The only piece of software that actually improves with each update 👌🏻
Thank you very much for continuing to improve this application for musicians. Grateful here 🙂
Love your work guys!
Such a great app and a very skilled developer team. Gotta love musescore
woooo James Mizen!!
Amazing!
Nice job as always, and thanks to you guys, for the great software
It keeps getting better and better!!!
I am excited to learn this!
Wow this is so awesome! Love you guys 💙
I have been searching for a way to notate my harp music more easily and MuseScore popped up - the pedal diagrams look awesome! So so excited to try this out for creating arrangements! 😄
YAY!! Thank you so much team!
Great work, team! Keep it up
Thank you for all your work!
Hurray once again for the fantastic effort, legendary!
Love to see "New All" acknowledged in an official Musescore ad! 😂
I freaking love you all. Thank you thank you thank you for making such a great program. Many blessings!
Absolutely Fantastic - Life Just Got Better.
Being a Berklee student, Musescore is the only notation software I care about when working on my finals - love the harp support!
The update we have been waiting for!
Amazing work! The guitar changes are super cool and I know some people were mean about the reverb issue, so glad to see it was fixed up (as I knew it would be). All your work is greatly appreciated
This is all awesome but please add a video sync functionality it would be a blessing
I love the new ornamentation updates!
Thank you so much for making all these improvements to MuseScore! I have a request for a video about how to implode a choral score for a piano reduction. Despite me reading through the handbook, something's still not clicking on how to do it.
Gracias, Musescore UNA VEZ MÁS!!!! Luego de más de 20 años con Finale, me cambié en un par de semanas. Sigo apoyando a y siendo apoyado por este magnífico proyecto.
Yall never dissapoint 🔥🔥
So cool. I didn't even know there was a blind music notation system. That was a really cool addition. Congrats to everyone involved with the update.
As always writing a comment to support the channel
This is amazing I can't belive a free software is adding all of these amazing features!
I love the amount of customization and accessibility that's been added in the new update. The customizable reverb makes compositions for specific ensembles sound a lot more realistic. Hopefully in the future there can be more musesound instrument soundfont/vsts to make it easier for composing for different genres.
Unreal. Amazing!
You are great! Musescore is so good! Thank you for your great work!
love the credit to community member contributors
Thank you so much for everything you guys do!
But please add a Piano roll midi editor like Musescore 3 had! 😭
Happy to see those improvements!
Just wonder if the dynamic change is still hard to manipulate in 4.0?
Thank you! ❤
Can't wait to start composing again
No time like the present!
Amazing!!
Musescore 4.0 was real pain to use. Stopped using it after trying editing just two songs as frequent crashes and lags made it literally unusable. Was forced to revert back to 3.6. I really hope this new update has addressed those basic concerns. Will come back with an update soon after trying 4.1.
We're sorry to hear you experienced these issues. Addressing the app's performance has been a major focus for us in this new version. So far, we've calculated approx. 60% improvement on the CPU load when using Muse Sounds (compared with v.4.0), so hopefully this makes for a smoother experience all around. A ton of crashes has also been fixed in this release, so we hope it runs better for you and we look forward to your feedback on 4.1!
the lag might lessen if you use the MS Basic sounds
this is beautiful
Wow, amazing! Does this new version support imported soundfonts archives for the instruments like sf2 and sf3?
I don't think we could ever have imagined a program of this caliber being free, even a few years ago.
Awesome!
amazing!
Are you planning on adding arpeggios across multiple voices and/or staves (for e.g. the piano)?
Yes 😊
I transcript exercises and music so I can hear what I'm playing. As a dyslexic, it is a great way to become familiar with what I'm playing faster.
Thanlk you MuseScore you are awesome
Although I haven't had much experience with MS4, one thing I struggled with in version 3 was repairing measures that had been scanned by other software and contained errors, particularly errors in the note occupancy of measures. I wanted a way to turn off ALL the rules governing how many notes there are in a measure and just let me set the measure correctly, without new rests and such appearing. This was especially true because some rests appeared to be undeleteable or something. As I would attempt to repair things, they just got worse and worse. Even just deleting these measures and starting over proved difficult because of effects on neighboring measures and such. Quite the struggle.
when will the "count in" feature be included in musescore 4? It was such an amazing study tool!
Please, add muted brass to Muse Sounds!)))
We have a lot of plans for Muse Sounds, so watch this space...😁
Can’t wait for the new MDL
Well done
Fantastic to see this new update!!! One main issue i have is with voices, for example if a note is played by 2 voices of different durations - the note is only held the shorter duration of the two... (Using musesounds)
Is a fix for this being worked on at the moment?
AWESOME
i really enjoy these screencaptures videos showing the software at an angle with DOF and smooth movement. How do you do that @Musescore?
I believe we are all hoping for the tempo alteration texts to work.
Regardless, the reverb option is a huge improvement for us who have an average to below average laptop or PC. Kudos to the team!
Dang, I was really hoping the piano keyboard not lighting up during playback issue would be fixed this update. Everything about musescore 4 is so much better than 3 except for that, which was a really useful tool in my workflow. Think about it every time I open the app
Nice, but I still can't re-size the window to fit my vertically-oriented monitor. (The pallettes column won't go thinner.) I need the vertical orientation to see all the parts simultaneously, so I'll have to stick to 3.6.2 for now. Maybe 4.2 will allow for better re-sizing.
I think it's getting better than the others! I mean Finale is pretty good but not as enjoyable as MuseScore! You've done a great job! Thank You so much!!!
Sounds great ! Thanks for all the hard work.
Can't wait to switch MS4 once it's compatible with the android app.
Until then, il stay on the 3rd version
You can use MuseScore 4.1 on Windows, macOS and Linux.
The mobile app product is actually an entirely separate product used for reading scores (not writing them).
@musescore Obviously. But musescore 4 SHEETS are still incompatible with the android app. When I upload them, they do NOT appear on the app.
So I'm sticking with MC3 until the app is compatible.
Will we ever get playback for expression text? P.S. : great job in further updating this amazing software, just curious as to if we might look forward to an update such that
Best piece of free software of all time.
i lovw MusrScore So much (from thailand)
You should make musescore capable of singing lyrics, it would improve the program a lot.
I can't describe how much the ornament improvements were needed. Is there going to be a way to put turns between notes? MANY THANKS!!!
when are you guys gonna add the option to choose the sound of an instrument from a soundfont list? it's one of the features i use the most in musescore 3's mixer and its also what's keeping me from moving to musescore 4
It's been implemented for 4.2, for which the release is aimed towards the end of the year.
I am really struggling to find the setting in MS4.1 which allows a fluid MIDI input, i.e. the notes are entered as I play. The program recognises the keyboard but I am unable to get passed either individual note entry or notes being stacked on top of each other as a chord. I'd be grateful if anyone can tell me what I am missing or where I am going wrong. Thanks :)
Finally! Ornaments with accidentls! Now I can recreate Chopin's Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2!
Did Pipewire support get added back on Linux? Last I checked (several months after 4.0 release), many modern distros are still stuck on late Musescore 3 without destructive tinkering as this is the last version to have functional support for the audio server the Linux world is moving to.
musescore is the best. Period.
Are you planning on adding new sounds for brass instruments with mutes?
I want to be able to select the instrument from a soundfont bank within the editor like I used to
How do i create ties that connect notes from the end of a measure with the D.S symbol to the measure with the Coda symbol?
When will muse drumline come to musescore 4?
