Usually game stores jack up the price when they know an important card is in the structure deck. The cheapest structure deck can be sold for 12$ cad, but others can be sold for 23$ cad.
I end up buying these new structure decks and not using them at all lol. I don't even use plant type cards so I don't think I'll buy the next one. The Albaz deck was pretty good and so was the Sacred Beast deck.
Bought 3 copies of soulburner structure deck and 3 shaddoll showdown structure deck total of $60 dollars. Kept it and never opened for 2 or 3 years. sold all for $180 later on Facebook market. I did get my money back

@@Giorgos906 each structure deck only contains 1 copy of each card. It’s rare for a structure deck to contain more than one copy of a card (i.e. Slifer structure deck comes with 3 copies of Ahrima). In yugioh, unless the card is banned/limited/semi-limited, you can have up to 3 copies of a specific card in your deck. People will buy multiple structure decks to get the 3 copies of a card(s) they want

The point is to create an illusion. YGO structure decks are cheaper than other card games equivalent. So, on paper it looks like YGO's more affordable and easier to get into. But, in reality, they make these decks to require you to buy 2-3, so the real price of the SD ends up being around or more than the other card games. Where their prebuilt decks come with multiple copies.
Nah I play both magic and yugioh, yugioh is Hella cheaper. In my local stores you can buy 3 structure decks for about 15 to 20 dollars less than a single mtg deck
I’ve just gotten back into Yugioh after probably over 10 years of not playing and I really like the structure decks, it’s helped me get back into the swing of things and helping me learn the things that weren’t around last time I played (like XYZ and Link summons) :)
Honestly i had bought 3 of it because crystal beasts are my favorite archetype and for some reason i also wanted 3 of the box plus the new support and then the advanced set cane out
i bought 4 structure decks last month because i came back from a 10 year break of yugioh, one was sacred beasts which was a childhood dream, so i see this as a win. i also bought a bunch of infernity and earthbound cards. i am quite lucky that they actually printed all those cards for those decks in the time i was gone

Now we wait for Konami to print a "Hey heres not a structure deck but we compiled a list of 60 cards everybody needs for any deck based on our results from YCS's. On an off note, Trap Trix structure is the first I know of that has 2 copy's of a single card in it, has this happened before?
Yes it happens sometimes because some cards are needed in multiples in order to play with that structure only. I.e egiptian god decks have 3 momongas and 3 ras disciple because their effects summon other copies of themselves so it become useless if you have only one copy. Traptrix structure has trap trick wich needs two traps of the same name (one for banish and other one for setting) that's why the structure came with 2 trap holes and other doubles
This existed in the Duel devestator box, had 60 or so cards of staples and side deck options, had some strange options but also had 1 of every ghost girl at the time, veiler, called by etc. near enough everything plus field centres
Most of the old Structure Decks like Zombie Madness had 3 copies of key cards like pyramid turtle and call of the mummy. So you actually just needed 1 deck to play "optimally" at least for school decks it was really good back in 2005

As much as it sucks that you need three copies to actually get the deck, it is nice seeing a bunch of the modern SD's see competitive viability. Something the old Structure Decks failed to deliver on, in spite of the lofty claims in marketing.

Typical single sellers... Seriously, when they found out that an SD has Ash Blossom in it was released, they bought it en masse...then suddenly reselling it with double the price.
None of the recent structure decks were available at any store nearby, and I didn't want to buy them online on for a slight markup, so I decided to buy each card individually on tcgplayer, and at cheapest it cost more than if I wouldve bought 3 of the structure decks AT THE MARKUP

it's either you buy 3 for meta staples or buy 3 to make something that could be semi-competitive...OR buy 1 because you really don't play seriously and really just like collecting yugioh cards. i've actually bought most of the SDs you can get in stores now, except for albaz. I like to try out all of the decks in a mostly non-competitive setting with my wife, so I have 1 of each, except for the cyber dragon deck. Cyber Dragons are definitely a nostalgic GX era archetype for me
I got the slyther deck for 4 dollars at Walgreens brand new and immediately put slyther in one of those hard shells, I’m just burnt cause I had all the cards and decks brand new when the first editions dropped and they got stolen. I’m trying to get my collection back just to have but damn scalpers are annoying

As a Kid: Get the deck together with the friends and immidiate play it with it. Today: Buy three of these online, wait 3 days till it arrives then mash it together to built a medi competitive deck and never play with it except once on a local or something. xD
They're paying a premium to not have to deal with the bulk. If you're a TCG player without space, it can be worth the cost to avoid having to find space for bulks

It is means in a short term saying. A universally a card or cards like Monster Reborn. A card or cards you can put in any deck.
