    We tend to think of Prince as a rock genius but his extraordinary talents show that he really was a jazz musician of the highest order. Don't believe me - ask Miles Davis.

      Miles had a lot of respect for Prince’s talent but NEVER said Prince was a jazz musician because Prince clearly wasn’t.

      :Multi-instrumentalist" is correct. You can be an instrumentalists by having prowess on a single musical instrument. When you play several you are a Multi-instrumentalists.

    When Prince was still living a snippet of him playing something bluesy with Maceo was on here. OMG, It sounded so good. They took it down so quick I haven't found it again yet. Man Prince could've been a Mississippi blues man in another life.

      I play bass. You can tell the way he picks up every instrument with confidence, hes mastered everything. Guitar, bass, keyboards, singing, songwriting. I guarantee there's more but he was crazy. Check out the guitar gently weeps solo.

    This would have been much more impressive haf Rhonda actually played rhythm guitar behind Prince's bass playing. I'm sure she can play some guitar having the chops to play bass for Prince. But overall most bassist aren't very comfortable on lead guitar. Still, great video. R.I.P Prince.
