The side mounted finger print sensor is the most important feature of this phone for me... it's ultra fast and ultra accurate, unless POCO releases a significantly faster phone with an upgraded side mounted sensor, I won't even bother to upgrade...
All of the custom ROMs are not good right now so many bugs lacking features Only performance is good otherwise useless Meanwhile the HyperOS is better overall There was a time when 2014-2021 when the custom ROMs were good with best performance and more features
I got two of these because of 3.5 mm jack with decent performance. I did not update to hyper os as it messed the image stabilization according to user who had experience of hyper os on poco F5
Chinese or Global, it's the same. You'll just need to use the right firmware and such. We're getting the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and will install a custom rom on it. Chinese and Global ROM is interchangeable. So a custom rom for Poco F5 works for 12 Turbo vice-versa.
I updated my Poco f5 to HyperOS, i dislike the performance of the video camera. The steadyness is gone. The video recording is not smooth like before..
Is anybody having refresh rate bug, the one where it automatically drops to 60 even if its set on 120, while playing games also, it happens the same causing the game to lag, its happening after the hyper os update
Be careful, I am starting to get a lot of issues 5 months later.. It doesnt run 120fps as often, in some video games (critical ops, Clash of Clans) the fps is locked at 90fps for some reason even if I have every setting on 120fps (i have tried every solution on reddit and its not solved) and there are a lot of glitches randomly like Instagram dimming the colour when Im on full brightness. Its a good phone for the price but the ui is pretty trash
Thank you for this video, i bought the poco f5 because of it the other day and I couldn't be happier, considering that i paid it only 280€ this is by far the best phone I've had, doesn't lag at all, can run all games without any issue and the battery is lasting forever
Iqoo z9 is a good alternative to poco. Got it recently and it's extremely pleasant to use, both in terms of camera, performance, and screen. The UI of iqoo is somewhat a reflection of Samsung's ONEUI, which i assume they're taking a lot references from samsung compared to xiaomi copying to iOS. As a result, the similarity to oneui resulted in an acceptable software experience. Personally when it comes to android, oneui is the best. Due to iqoo copying samsung, i can confidently recommend iqoo to most ppl.
as a poco f5 user ever since i got it on release the only 2 phones that i would say that would beat the f5 in a landslide would be the iqoo neo 9 china rom and the x6 pro price to performance wise
Anyone who owns this phone, does anyone suffer with major mobo issues, sadly my f3 gave up (modem issue, frequent reboots etc.) on me and i sent the phone before my warranty but they only updated the software 😭 after waiting 10 days the warranty is gone and they were gonna charge me for mobo
I was have samsung 21 ultra and my son broken it two time and i fix it the third time was me 😅😅 i told my self why im not buy new phone and from wrong i buy pocco f5 and i love it its more powerful from galaxy i need to thnx xiaomi
what are we talking about... im still slamming my F3 with top game titles, work load for job, movies, three browsers with almost 70 open tabs etc....and it's blazing fast after so many years. only battery is depleted with 30-40% less autonomy. fast charging sux
The display is not properly calibrated despite the specs, the cameras are not fully optimised (inaccurate colours, poor HDR rendering, warping effect & non stop focus hunting, below average low light, etc.) and ambiguous update policy (how quick/how often the OS will be updated, will it continue to receive monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly security updates?) means this is another forgettable, parts spinned and disposable Poco phone. Shame the specs are all excellent across the board. If Xiaomi doesn't start listening to it's customers then we will be stuck with the same strategy every year.
For me my review in this is a bit disappointing, But it never fails in playing some games the fps is high and smooth, Also the storage isn't enough really i promise 256GB maybe not enough, When the storage gets to 25% there's performance decrease also there's no alt for gamers, just what i like, i don't know why they only add it in poco F3 it be cool if you can connect it into TV while playing games or watching movies and also I'm not gonna lie this phone is good till now.
@@trinity7355 try to fully charge it during the week, till 100%, but thing is - in case of using TH-cam/Instagram - it really it's around 10 % of energy a hour. Additionally, in my case, if you charge it till 80-85% it seems that the drain goes faster than in comparison to charging to 100 % , but overall if you don't play much it gives your around of 8 hours of screen time, maybe fully charge for some time and check.
@@RenzoClaros I hope that f6 will have a similar price to the f5 on launch then, because I was counting on just buying the f5 if the f6 was too expensive
Imagine, having to get this phone twice ... to me it's an indicator on how Poco manage to get the sweet spot... Powerful. ✅ Durable. ✅ Efficient battery. ✅ Good cameras. ✅ Light & thin. ✅ Perfect balance of specs and price. This is Xiaomi should have been. Value for Money.
Yep, exact same for my 1rst pov shooter game, it locked at 90 or 60 FPS randomly and I've tried every solution out on Reddit, I personally think it's cuz of the HyperOS software which is absolutely awful

Just buy Xiaomi 13T/pro with slight less powerful but the camera punches way above its value
13t is twice the price of this still even today July 2024

I am using cn based rom on this phone, its buttery smooth experience

F5 is worse in managing its heat compared to my old X3 Pro. The FPS will drop from 120 to 60 after 30 minutes gaming(ML and Genshin)
Is that still the case after hyper os
I have to disagree as my poco f5 works fine compared to my friends Poco x3 pro....poco f5 handle heats better than poco x3 pro
