A bit cheaty: if you got a second team (not youth team), then you can instantly move the trial players there to avoid the 30 player restriction. Another benefit - if you happen to play with hidden attributes - you can instantly see all the attributes after clicking forward once. that way you can cycle through a lot more players in a short period of time. tipp no. 2: if you got a director of football, you could ask him for advice (on the transfer tab) for whom to sign. 3: to save money, its probably better to reduce the scouting range once a transfer window has closed. re-adjust once you are ready for new signings
@@TheManagersSeat You're telling me. My current FM21 JM has been my best ever. How about this for a career path: Port Talbot Town, Drogheda United, Palermo FC, Malmo FC (including my only ever unbeaten season), AZ Alkmaar (including my only ever European trophy, with the Conference League), FC Porto and, currently, Liverpool!
Nah, determination is way better. Move slider on the right and throw everything into determination. Your attributes will grow much faster even without licences. Also the higher your determination is the bigger chance is that board will accept your request for pretty much anything.
Nice video. Would be nice if you could link your creators in the description. I'm already subscribed to several of you, but I don't know who the person in this video is. I would like to follow his own channel as well.
Currently in the german 4th tier and I ran into an issue. I cannot pay wages that 99% of the teams in the 5th tier can afford to and I cant loan out youth players from larger clubs because my squad is too weak. Managed to avoid relegation in my first year in that division despite paying 10% of the salaries of the second lowest club in that statistic, but its catching up to me now as I can basically only sign players who are out of contract for a couple months and got overseen by everyone else, otherwise the wage demands are too big.
Oh man, very tough. I do love those sorts of saves though. All the more rewarding when you succeed. All I’d suggest is make as many assets as you can. Even if a player with high potential isn’t the best, play him above others. Get the highest potential value players there as quick as possible. And sell sell sell
I would, yes. For those it’s very subjective. As an easy starter, if you are losing possession a lot, rather than change passing I would change tempo. Make it slower and players think a bit better. Therefore keep the ball
I want an advice, this is my first time playing a fm game, started with the lowest team in spainish lowest division, before the league, i did a bunch of friendies (10 approx) and got tactic familairity up, mid way through the seaosn my team was 1rst beating everyone, then suddendly I started to draw against team below me (eg 12th or 9th ) and i am now loosing a lot of games, no idea what went wrong
This is really common - and it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with your tactic In FM, the AI managers are a lot smarter than they used to be - they study your tactic and they react. So, during the first half of the season your tactic was working well as you were playing each team in the division for the first time. You took them by surprise. But, having played you once, the opposition managers are probably adapting the way they are playing against you for the return fixture in the second half of the season. If you were beating these teams the first time you played them, then the opposition are probably being more cautious, sitting deeper and trying to be more difficult to break down by the time they play you for a second time. The first time they played you, they may have been more aggressive and attacking and left more gaps for you to exploit. This means your tactic might need tweaking. You might need to make a few changes to your tactic so that it can break down stubborn opponents who are sitting deep and crowding the penalty box. This could be as simple as changing a few team instruction. Maybe shooting more from distance, or lowering your line of engagement to draw the opposition out, or maybe playing wider to get around the sides of your opponent. Maybe you need to tweak some player roles. Changing a striker to a false 9 or a DLF might pull defenders out of position. Maybe you need to introduce additional runners from midfield that might break the oppositions lines. Maybe you could watch a match on extended highlights and try and work out how the opposition is setting up against you and then think of some strategies to try and counter how your opponent is setting up. Let us know how you get on
What tips would you add to the list?

Another great vid. Makes me want to start a lower league save now!
Thanks Pottsy, same mate - FM25 for me
Good timing, I will shortly be starting a Journeyman save, so these should give me a good platform to build on. Thank you!
Perfect! Enjoy the journeyman, definitely the best save in my opinion

Great tips... especially the manager profile
Thanks mate, had a few more around the manager but it needs a separate video as there’s so many

@@LuciferX333 interesting, I never use determination but always Motivation (so they listen to the team talks). Will give this a go at some point!
Only thing I would add is buy players that have good pace and acceleration, especially for wingers. Speed is OP at lower league level.
I'd agree, Physical over Mentals and Technicals at that level
I've booted up Bury AFC in Tier 10 🔵

Hey man. That’s me (Jonny). I had @jdfm on YT but created TMS so only create here now. Thanks for the lovely feedback though 👍

you can't play the same way as managing the big clubs. Making money is the first priority in non league teams.
Waaaaaaaaaaales! I love managing in Wales.
Same! Lower the better
Going on star ratings rather than attribute comparison when bringing players in?
Yeah that can help at that level.
I need help with tactics for vanarama level team 😢
Generally I find dribble less is effective in lower leagues
Definitely helps. Good shout
So would recommend not changing the team instructions?
