Honestly, kinda wish since they rereorded his lines they made him sound closer to Frontiers with the deeper tone. It makes sense why they didn’t, I don’t have a problem with it, it’s just the Frontiers direction felt a bit more natural.

To be fair, they didn't redo ALL of the lines (aside from those who got their VAs changed), so it would sound strange if the voice became deeper in the middle of a sentence.

The IDW comic writers have said that they plan to catch up to Frontiers at some point, so I’m curious whether Frontiers takes place YEARS ahead of the current Arc, or if the explanation really is that Sonic’s balls just dropped randomly a couple years after forces
