Your vid got recommended on my wall got subbed as well Hope you finish your build I'm currently having the same problem on my own build but I'm working on a Chinese bike that uses random bits and pieces from different brands and models
I’m in the process of putting an older 1993 HPP engine in my 2002 frame. I had to use the 2002 carburetor isolator, and I think the 01 and 05 have a different bolt pattern though. The 93 isolator made the carburetor hit the shock. The exhaust I had to have modified slightly to fit. I have a 97 cylinder, 99 power valves, and an 01 right side inner clutch cover. I did have to change out the 01 power valve linkage rod to a 93. I think I also have a newer all metal water pump shaft and gear as well. Looks like you are getting there. Good luck!
Wow that’s a real collection of didn’t parts! Def getting there. I know the radiators I just need to get a 2into1 joint to make it work. Carb I think will be ok, and exhaust might need the mounts moved but should be good. It’s power valves holding me up at the mo, can’t find none anywhere!
I’ve heard the position of the mounting bolts are the same but at some point they went from M8 to M10. 2004 I think you’ll be ok but definitely research it 👊🏼
Here are some proven honda cr125 differences and tips Everything from 1988 to 2002 enginewise is interchangeable, you can put a 2002 cylinder on 1988 crankcases and vice versa. In 1999 honda changed engine mount bolt from 8mm to 10mm. 2003 and 2004 are 1 year only but their internals are still interchangeable with 2005-2007 and 1988-2002 except crankcases. You can fit a 1988 engine in a 2007 frame without much work, honda is amazing in the engine department, 6 speed, 5 speed trans all interchangeable from 1988-2007.
That’s some really useful info cheers! That hopefully widens my search for parts. I’ve got the 2005 engine to fit the 2001 frame by literally just changing the mounting bolts and bracket 👍🏼
@@ducaveli yes, the question will be the exhaust, maybe the exhaust flange angle is different im not sure, when you build it up you will se if it aligns, if not just bend it slightly. When you are at it buy a 38mm keihin carb for her, and if you can find one buy a cr250 airbox and boot and you have yourself a rocket!
Production quality is so high once again! Good work, glad to see you return and the project is still alive!
Thanks! I’m really tryin’!
@ducaveli it shows, keep up the effort man!
Nice to see you carry on with the build I was wondering if you’d given up on it haha!
I knew people would be wondering 😂 Real life got in the way, laptop broke too. Back on track now bro! 👊🏼
awesome job man!!! keep it up!!
Thank you! 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Thanks for watching and subbing 👊🏼
Always hunting for those discontinued parts to be able to finish it.
I hope you get to finish your too

Дружище, отличное видео👍🏻как раз тоже буду собирать свой двигатель от 1998 года в 2003)
Thanks for watching. Good luck! From what I hear it should fit with no problems 👍🏼
The cases are the same shape but the mounting bolts ran different diameters threw the years
Yes, I think the 90s ones were m8 and the later ones m10. The ones I have seen to be the right diameter and length
Where did you get that engine stand? That thing is cool
It’s by Sealey. Very useful!
Anybody ever done an engine swap like this before? I’m sure I could use some tips for making it work!
i have an 2004 cr125r looking to swap in a 2007 cr125 motor into it but still not sure if it will work

What year transmission are u using because I know the transmission bearing sizes changed threw the years
It’s a 2005 transmission, so basically the whole engine will be 05/07 and the rolling chassis is 00/01
The 05 runs an electronic power valve so what power valve and wiring are u running
I think that’s the 04
@Ducaveli 04-07 which ran the rc power valve
@@trx250rpuma4 I did some more research, 04 was the only year that had the servo power valve, 05-07 they go back to the governor and no cable
Where did you find the nos engine cases?
Honda Powersports of Troy on eBay
But does the exhaust line up?
I’m still to find that out 🤞🏼
@@ducaveli hope it does it would definitely be much cheaper good luck
