One of the best hotel breakfast buffets is at the Kahala Hotel & Resort, where you can find steak and fresh fish early in the morning. There is a fun spot for some floating Chinese noodles and a great place for a sandwich with a fantastic view.

My stomach growling sounds like thunder... enjoy this paradise you are in.
Flat, wide noodles covered in a roasted sesame and garlic sauce with some of of Mikey Chen Crispy Garlic Chili Oil is a favorite. And those floating noodle dishes looked AMAZING!!!!
Really want to go to Hawaii! Loved the presentation of those noodles. So much fun 😍 looked delicious too.

I haven’t been to Fun Station in awhile, I need to go back. These eateries mostly on east side. Thanks for coming out and visiting us and giving our side a shout out. Next time you should go snorkeling at Hanauma bay then get sandwich at Mala and have shave ice at Uncle Clay, that’s a great day in Honolulu.
I’m born and raised in Honolulu and I’ve never been to any of these places, need to go try!

I absolutely love Fun Station. Their Spiced Duck Look Fun soup is my favorite dish from them. Their fried rice is also good as well, and the chicken wings were great with a little kick to it. Everything I've had from them is just amazing!

after living in Hawaii for 4 years I can tell you that the main reason the food gets out early is because a lot of people live by the sun up and sun down.. meaning, the sun is up, they are active, the sun is down, they're looking for bed haha not to say there isn't a night life but also the tourists are off schedule as well, so, it's 4pm in Hawaii as I write this but 9pm in NYC
Actually sun down means glasses bottoms up. That's from a TRUE local (born and raised in Hawaii).

If you ever get a chance and want to try more ramen here I def recommend Golden Pork their Tonkatsu ramen and Tsukemen are amazing! Hands down the best place for ramen on Oahu. They have a nice delicious broth and perfect thin noodles. Only down fall is that place has horrible parking unless you park on the street after 6. Tenkaippin and Onoya are also good.
Now that is a breakfast buffet wow. I never saw a brisket cooked with fat cap on like that before. We trim our briskets in the south. I love Hawaii how they mix healthy foods mixed with pig out food.

i grew up in the area where that sandwich place is. I've also been to the Kahala many times. That buffet is awesome, especially those pancakes. Makes me miss home.

hau tree at the kaimana hotel is so good. $50 wagyu steak on the beach. can NOT beat that. plus the crab pasta or any of the other amazing dishes or cocktails
you went to Junpuu! one of our favorites. the chashu is SO good. their ajitama is amazing, too with that perfect almost runny marinated egg. 🤤
Szechuan in Hawaii: Mian, SXY Szechuan, Joy Cup Noodles Mean, Chong Qing Cuisine, Chengdu Taste, Simply Sichuan. Some of those have locations other than Hawaii.
For ramen: Golden Pork, Wagaya, Ono-ya, Kamitoku, Santouka. Same - some of those spots have non-Hawaii locations.

We just got back from 8 month on Oahu. We went to Mala Market literally every week after we shopped at Costco. Such a great place!! Those flying noodles were on my list, but we didn’t get around to going. Uncle Clay’s was delicious!! We also loved Little G cafe on Sheridan for great pizza.

Hawaii is just beautiful. Have you thought of other islands? You have been to many countries, but not many islands. They have such unique and flavorful food. I miss me some Hawaiian when I was in the Air force. Nothing like O'ahu or the big island. I wonder if the Hilton still does fireworks on Friday? I would get food at the north shore Haleiwa area, the random shrimp or steak and plate spots were so fire!

You cannot get better flavor food than in Hawaii. We have all the cultures here and the blend is miraculous. No where else on earth does it get better with the different variety.🌺 just look around for the mom and pop p,aces, the okazuyas, the food trucks, just the best of the best. The variety is endless. If you’re criticizing anything, move on to the local places, not the hotels.😊

I've been to Junpuu, their black garlic tonkatsu ramen is not bad, I prefer Golden Pork which is down the street, they make a very rich Black garlic tonkatsu ramen. But Junpuu does makes a perfect medium boil egg, every where else I've been it's always hard boil.
i really envy mike. i visited india but i was unable to enjoy the food as i had food poisoning. I really wish i could stomach everything like him.
