There’s so much variety in their discography, If you want more songs like ugly, deux and deracine then I’d recommend Dogma, Undying, Rage, Headache Man, 13 stairs etc
I think this was the first song where they used the female backing vocals, and they’ve used them ever since. It makes them stand out from other jrock bands, but it does get old after a while. I do enjoy how they were used on the Dogma album though. Less poppy, and more of an atmospheric and haunting element.
Thank you for reacting to this one I come back to this song A LOT it's just so much fun to listen to despite its kind of disturbing lyrics and I hope you react to even more of their songs they have so much more emotion and fun to offer
The band really got me too a while ago must listen in my opinion : chizuru, suicide circus or totally different calm envy! The singer Ruki writes 95% of their songs. About stuff he reads in the press or he's been through 😊 if you like Japanese music there are many others to listen to like : X-japan, Alice Nine (A9), Canival (ex-Hiz) , Royz and so on and so on
Hum.. I'm a major Ruki fan and bias, but I would say that he writes about 50% to 60% of Gazette's music. Don't forget Uruha and Aoi! Actually, they only come up with the melody and some riffs and then work on the songs all together.
Nice, love your reactions; try these: -Mucc - Ageha (ムック / アゲハ) very expressive and unique voice -X JAPAN - Standing Sex (X Japan Returns) legendary japanese band -Girugamesh - Owari to mirai the are like Dir en grey + The gazette (?)
Please react to another two great songs from The Gazette Dogma Music video - th-cam.com/video/m2f3jQfbRl8/w-d-xo.html Lyrics video with translation - th-cam.com/video/fr6tXQpL9F0/w-d-xo.html Undying Lyrics video with translation- th-cam.com/video/AZjTpdSFczw/w-d-xo.html Music Video - th-cam.com/video/WYJgGgLloBw/w-d-xo.html
Amazing Reaction Baldman! I recommend the song The True murderous Intent if you liked the female vocals, cause in this song they made the best use of then for me. Hope you keep doing this great work! See yaa next Video
Great video man, solid. And yeah their earlier stuff definitely had hints of Dope in them... Speaking of Dope, check out their new music video for THIEVES ft Andy LaPlegua of Industrial band Combichrist fame!!! :D
Thank you for reacting to my fave band!!! You can react to anything Gazette, I will be happy! ^_^ FITB is definitely a classic. Have you seen them live? This is where you realize how good this band is!
In Spring, we're getting a new album, so... World Tour late this year or early next, most probably ^_^ Don't miss it! I went to see them in Toronto, New York, Paris and Munich in 2016. And a few time in Japan too. Totally worth it!
Çlirim, I spent a ton of cash but it was all worth it! ^_^ I dunno if you can call it luck though. I had to make some choices: Gazette or the latest clothes? ;)
If you wanna check out some more over-the-top stuff I recommend Strawberry Song Orchestra! They're not well known and definitely deserve way more attention!
Heard you added Versailles as one of the bands you really like. Do you have there track Chandelier on the list yet? Also have you had any requests for Jupiter - Luminous?
I have Chandelier on the list, I just havent not gotten there yet. I am not sure I have jupiter, but I will get it on the list just in case I dont. Cheers.
Ok, might have something in the works that might help you out. However not making any promises, this is a thing I do in my spare time instead of youtube videos^^
There's honestly so many diverse albums in their repertoire, it's so hard picking favorites cause they can be so different but just as amazing as each other. My favorite band since I was a preteen, I hope that never changes
I have a weird relationship with this band. They're talented clearly, but you can tell they're easily influenced by Dir en Grey almost to the point that it's imitation really. That being said, this song is very clever with the classic 90s rnb and then this metal fused with it lol. DIM was a great album though.
Çlirim Shala Gazette has moments where they’re similar to Dir en grey, but nothing as bad as bands like Sadie, The Thirteen, Nega, etc, who often just stole entire songs from Dir en grey and called them something else. That said, I guess the comparisons come from the fact that DEG and Gazette seemed to go in similar heavy directions at the same time, when tons of other bands were also mimicking DEG. However, I do find Ruthless Deed very similar to Different Sense.
Robert D'Amico yes you can call Sadie, the thirteen and Nega cover bands for DeG. Anyways comparing them to each other just because they are both heavy is dumb. I can see why you think Ruthless Deed is similar to DEG but at the same time just because They use backing screams it doesn’t mean that it’s copying DeG.
People like to throw the words “copy” and “rip off” around too much. There is such a thing as influence, and with that I think it’s undeniable that DEG influenced Gazette a great deal the same way DEG was heavily influenced by Kuroyume and Luna Sea in the early days before they found their own sound (which, funnily enough, was influenced by western metal). And that’s my point, every artist is influenced by another and it’s going to show in the music. I will never excuse a band like Nega for taking DEG’s Zakuro and practically lifting everything down to the song structure, but I think DEG paved the way for bands like Gazette to exist, and that’s okay.
Robert D'Amico in my opinion, the GazettE are heavily influenced by Luna Sea with some Slipknot riffs. I know it’s not a bad thing but I don’t see any similarities between Deg and GazettE, but thats just my opinion :)
an oldie but a goodie, this one
There’s so much variety in their discography, If you want more songs like ugly, deux and deracine then I’d recommend Dogma, Undying, Rage, Headache Man, 13 stairs etc
Ominous, too

oh Gazette! My Teenage years, haha. I still love them too.
Nice reaction.

"Filth in the beauty" is about a girl who’s being sexually abused by her father. Filth = the father. Beauty = daughter.
Thank you so much for completing my request
It was right at the top of the list. I think you first made it a couple of weeks ago. Cheers.

Unfortunately no. Thanks to doing this channel I just found them. Now I am kicking myself. I need to see them live.
In Spring, we're getting a new album, so... World Tour late this year or early next, most probably ^_^ Don't miss it! I went to see them in Toronto, New York, Paris and Munich in 2016. And a few time in Japan too. Totally worth it!
Karine damn you are really lucky :)

Can you react to Remember the Urge by The Gazzete
Awesome, one of my favorite songs!
React to SIM = Make me dead. It's very different and fun
would you react to Kyoukaisen by Arlequin? 😊
BTW, you talk about Deracine, but you haven't made a reaction video about it, have you?
I shot two videos for Deracine. Sadly they were blocked in Japan, South Korea, and AU. So I pulled them. It was unfortunate.
Nooooooo ;_; How sad! They accepted DEUX, but not Deracine.... How weird!
I dont like that side of The Gazette, but i like the romantic side.. can you please react to songs like Cassis, Reila or Chizuru.. thank you^^♪
dude, try this. ominous by the gazette

this kind of really strong song by them. think you'll like it

diabdia I don’t understand the comparison between GazettE and dir en grey.
Can you tell me 1 song from the GazettE thats similar to Dir en Grey
