    Hey AHA subscribers! We are well aware that the NAHA folded. When we filmed this video (Sept 18th), the NAHA was still set to run, and although we were skeptical of it, the league had some potential. That being said, it didn't end up working out, and as a result, we're officially stating that it's not part of our ranking for this video anymore.

    I'm a season ticket holder for the London Nationals in the gojhl I watch a lot of different hockey leagues and I think the gojhl is Junior a and these players are very good when I watch them live recommend this league

    One thing with Jr. A and Jr B hockey in Southern Ontario is that it’s regional. The “Jr B” GOJHL covers most of South Western Ontario, basically west of Toronto and there is no tier 2 Jr A hockey in that area. A lot of OHL prospects play there too. And then there is no other Jr B league with the exception of the Ottawa area. Because of this regional set up, Ontario’s Jr C league aka the PJHL could be lumped in with the other Jr B leagues across the country. It’s not the place to go to move on to college, but it’s probably better than any other Jr C league.

      @ryandunlop5523 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed. At this point, the GOJHL is a Tier2 A League, and the PJHL is a Junior B League. It's either that, or the GOJHL and the PJHL are so far advanced from the other B and C league, respectively, that it's not even funny.

    Good list. I played in the GMHL as a 16 year old goalie, played the following 2 season in CCHL, and received an NCAA Div 1. scholarship from there. I would agree with your Jr. C assessment. While there are some really good players that come through the GMHL, the major issue is the discrepancy in skill from the best teams or players in the league, compared to the bottom teams and players. There are NO scouts at ANY of these games, so stats are really the only thing you can sell. It's also not the most honest and trustworthy league to play in (depending on where you go), and many of the skilled euro players are lied to about the caliber and advancement opportunities in an effort to get them to come over. I personally had a decent experience playing in this league, but definitely should be seen as a "last resort" for 95% of junior players.

    I coach Midgets for a club program in Attleboro Massachusetts. Myself and all the other coaches don't think very highly of the EHL. To us, The EHL is CRAP compared to other Tier III Jr leagues such as the NA3HL.

    I feel like NA3 has more NAHL advancements than USPHL has NCDC advancements, that’s why it’s ahead in my mind.

    Gmhl is so hit and miss, a few teams run really professional programs that will help players develop but it’s the rest of the teams that are run more like beer league than junior hockey that ruin it for the rest. I know they’re implementing things to limit the amount of unprofessionalism but the root cause of the problem is the greed that starts all the way at the top meaning the owner, commissioner and everyone else running the league day to day. I strongly believe if they dropped 3/4 of the bottom feeder teams and really focused on finding better refereeing they would make huge strides in improving the calibre of play. They need to start thinking quality over quantity to weed out the teams that shouldn’t be there as well as the players that pay huge fees but can’t keep up with the pace of play.

    • @ahadvising8
      @ahadvising8  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It definitely is hit and miss. Hopefully the league as a whole can catch up with its top programs.

    I’m in the premier but I played a bit of gmhl and pjchl and I would say the gmhl is way higher as a goalie, I’d say it’s about the same as jr b like the ljhl or the kjhl personally

  • @Gbdclub111
    @Gbdclub111 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    I really would not say Gmhl is jr C or even close lol. Understand what your point is but the caliber vs those leagues especially the PJCHL which is pretty much a decent Jr B league is higher. Maybe could say it’s Jr B but even knowing the caliber of it is decent you have to take in the over angers who are able to play in it who have that ojhl and nojhl experience and now the fphl a lot of the teams have affiliations now with teams in the league so it definitely is a huge step in the right direction in skill and advancement especially in North America and Europe definitely not a jr c league lol especially leagues like the NJHL in Alberta lol

    I feel that this guy doesn't fully grasp the mecca of hockey, which is Southern Ontario. Let's face the facts, the GOJHL is a place for OHL prospects to grow/mature. And, while top talent may be hoping for a D1 look/scholarship, many are there simply because their area doesn't offer Tier II Jr A and want to play the best hockey they can. Period. The PJHL is a place where their younger players play to gain GOJHL advancement. And, on the contrary, a place where their older guys can finish off their junior careers; the PJHL often has ex-GOJHLers playing as senior guys because they get one more year as an "overager".
    Honestly, if you consider the GOJHL "Tier II Jr A", you have to consider the PJHL "Jr B".
    Btw, top GOJHL teams compete with OJHL teams, which, from everything I have ever read/saw compares to the NAHL.

      Relying on D3 commits for a ranking is dumb. Not many in Southern Ontario are looking to pay 30K to attend US college and play hockey.

    Naha folded

    • @ahadvising8
      @ahadvising8  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it did. At the time when we filmed this video (Sept 18th), things were still up in the air. With hindsight being 20/20, the NAHA is non existent anymore

  • @stevepomerleau4682
    @stevepomerleau4682 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    NAHA is non existant. The teams went to North American Prep League (NAPHL). CCHL2 (EOJHL) is the Junior B league and should be ranked in your video. Talking about NAHA instead of EOJHL takes huge credibility away from this video.

    • @ahadvising8
      @ahadvising8  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We agree with you. As we stated in the video, at the time of filming (Sept 18th), the NAHA was still considered as a league that would run. That being said, we were a bit skeptical, and we mentioned that the ranking of the league could drop at anytime. With hindsight being 20/20, if the video was filmed today, we'd obviously put the NAHA at the bottom of the list.
      As for the EOJHL, although it could be argued that it's slightly better than other Jr. B leagues in Canada, the case wasn't strong enough for us to seperate it from the the other Jr. B leagues like we did for the GOJHL.
