I’m more worried about some type of water resistance and more durability. As an owner of all 3 DJI pockets that is the top 2 things that need to be addressed first. It can’t take rain or too many bumps. After that would be battery life then any camera improvements.
There was a 3 year gap between the Pocket 2 & 3. I think we'll have to wait a while but I would bet that increased resolution and AI everything will be involved vs more cameras or bulk.
Think cost is not right if you make the pro version. That will no longer be the normal pocket customer marked.

imagine if sony makes a gimbal like pocket with interchangeable battery.
We need different focal lengths for a pocket camera instead of a drone. So those would be 16/20/35 IMO. Maybe, they can just make a zoom lens for a Pocker Pro. I would also add better DR, bigger screen (maybe flip out) and full 360 degree freedom for a gimbal.
I think they should borrow their own idea from the dji 4d camera.
Switching out the entire head of the camera for a different sensor/focal length would be amazing.
This way, you can keep the one inch sensor, while offering low and high megapixel version, as well as a wide and telephoto version.
And for me, it would be worth the premium of paying the extra for each additional head.

Hey DJI, I agree with Mr Black : Ready to buy a more bulky Pocket « Pro » to have a better lens with optical zoom and more functionality, because it will always be lighter than a standard camera on a gimbal. Sure you will touch a new market without loosing much on your « normal » gimbal sales. Go for it !!

Yes, "Osmo Pocket 3" has better stabilization, but it is not enough without compensation for movement along the Z axis when walking.
Buying an expensive Ronin 4D and carrying it with you is not an option at all.
But Hover gives exceptional smoothness
Great video. The selfie pole thing can be achieved with the memo app on your smart phone. Just use a clamp to secure it to the pole and use it as a monitor and remote. You're welcome.
first off ... youre a genius :) I havent even used the mimo app with the pocket 3 since its release and i was playing around with the filters, and i had completely forgotten that you can remotely move it... i might have to make a little vid about that kind of set up! thank :)
I want more of zoom camera on p3 like you say. Don’t mind adding a wide angle lens.

DJI did produce a dedicated selfie stick for the first 2 models. Unfortunately it’s not compatible with the 3.
I’d like any future models to have real telephoto ability and a stabilization system that can smooth out the bobbing when we walk. Variable aperture will be most appreciated.
I'm annoyed by devices with multiple cameras, because before I could do everything with one lens that could do both macro and zoom. I had this “sanyo xacti HD1” and I still have it, and it turns out that it is not much larger than the “Pocket” series camera.
I also expected that 3 would be modular according to rumors, like “Action 2”, but with a gimbal between the modules like “Feiyu Pocket 3”.
Allow me to introduce you to the DJI Osmo... It came out in 2015 and could use several DJI payloads including the Zenmuse X5R... You're basically asking them to bring it back. I have an Osmo Raw I'd just about give you.
Osmo Pro. 16mm zero-d wide angle. 50mm detail and 70-105mm zoom. Adjustable aperture. 4” screen. Dual card slots. I do real estate photography/videography and something like this would be awesome. I think it would be a popular item for DJI. The wide angle is critical. I could pass on a few of the other options if it at least has a 15-16mm minimal distortion wide angle lens.
The second DJI releases a camera with any kind of optical zoom, i am instantly buying it! Honestly, id even buy a regular sized camcorder from them!
If DJI makes a pocket pro I would sell all my gear the very next day on Ebay.

They might have it ready for the next couple years... calling it the Osmo Pro, but of course, they will add a dual camera first... then the 3 cameras set up... But definitely a Must have device! Great Video as always...

I'd buy your pro version and selfie pole if those ever came out. I wouldn't care if they fit in my pocket. Also if we could get a gimbal setting to fully lock the gimbal.
I agree with multiple cameras on - as good as the pocket 3 is - it's a struggle for me to leave my full frame mirrorless camera and restrict myself to 20mm.

Yeah, they already have aperture control and multiple lenses on the mavic and air 3, so that would make it ideal, and as close as possible to a portable cinema camera.
Ha, pocket 3 is around for a few years. They can’t even keep up with inventory, it’ll be a minute.
DJI Air 3 with RC2 controller. Aftermarket band clamp for tripod. Use RC2 to control everything. Flying camera or tripod or selfie . Versatile products . . .
The most important features for next Pocket camera is to keep it’s size small and price low.

This would kill DSLRs in the content creator niche. Which makes me realise that at least one or two of the big camera companies MUST be about to copy the Pocket 3 form factor.
We are over a year from seeing any changes since it is still so new. I think this line will be a 2-3 year lifescycle before refreshes. Given the number of knock-offs, I think it is kind of a winner in form factor, but I see a lot of real estate agents using them and I am disappointed in what it SooB

Why not put some removable propellers on it so it could fly around like a simple drone? A real invisible selfie stick. Selfie mode would track your face at a certain distance and altitude. Then it could be very small, maybe a cube that you could attach propellers or a selfie stick to. Ohh...why not just make it completely compartmental and customizable. Small removable lenses and all. One day this will be an AI robot cameraman.

The dual lens pro version is the product that I'll buy not the current P3, it's only useful for movement in lowlight for me, anything else I can use my DSLR or Pixel - the current P3 is the most overrated hyped camera on the market
