Great video just want to say your both Awesome 🤩 I’m originally from Hereford UK and I’m now apprenticing in South Bay California and you guys remind me of home I frigging love it! Beautiful Uk beautiful fella... just a little bit of Cardiff lingo like.
Thank you for the review! I really want one! I have been reading about it none stop! I have an inkjeta now but I hear this is the only way to go is FKirons EXO!
Also I would say that if you haven’t already looked up the abilities on the app. You should! The app dark lab allows you to change the give through the battery making it softer or harder depending on the type of work you’re trying to accomplish. Just a little note for you!
Just set the needle back for 4mm but the 2.5 moves quicker technically by physics standard so it is more efficient and probly runs less battery over time.
@@ThatTattooShow Thanks. Good idea. I find it's a balance to cover well and also be able to change the needle depth. It's fine if using one needle but I find the depth changes when swapping needle sizes.
Perhaps some of the earlier batch didn’t have them. I have a new flux which has the sticker on them. Try reaching out to FK see if they will send you one.
in your opinion compared to a Cheyenne unlimited 3.5 how's the 2.5 exo? even softer? got to run it faster? im more into black and gray realism and micro realism love the videos thanks a lot for doing this
It’s softer yes, depending on how you tattoo and what effect you want to achieve etc then voltage will vary. I run mine between 6v and 8v depending on what I’m doing. If I’m doing detailed stuff I run it slower. Hope that answers your question. appreciate the comment :)
In the daily use which machine do you find more comfortable to work with is it the Flux or exo? I know that that the exo is built to have a better ergonomic and a different weight balance than the flux. But practically it could be different. Otherwise the 4mm stroke should performs equally on both machines. Everyone would have different opinions what suits better in the hand but I haven’t haven’t hold one of them before. Also what Maschine is practically better and easier to wrap/cover in your opinion?
Good question. I have found that the standard 33mm grip is more comfortable for line work. Although that’s more of a personally preference. Wrapping wise they are both the same tbh. I don’t change how I wrap them because one of the grips is larger etc.
Hey brother. Love your videos! So I have had the Flux since it came out. Love everything about it. I’m looking to buy a back up, slighter different machine and I have my eyes on this bad boy. I do mainly black and grey and colour realism. Should I grab the 3.2 swing? I’m thinking that would be the best of both worlds for what I do, as the flux has a 4mm. I’d love your thoughts on this my friend? I’m totally sold on FK Irons now just per the flux, and the E give option is a game changer. Thanx again bro! Take care and hope you can help, reaffirm my decision…
So I have always used FKs, picked up a 4.0 exo with the two batteries. My question is the give on the Dark labs App for the flux .... does the EXO have this feature?
@@ThatTattooShow So all I can find on the E-Give are videos on TH-cam showing E-give using the Hoover power supply. The app only allows me to Bluetooth to EXO and update firmware, maybe I am missing something on the App to pull up E-give feature just for the Powerbolt?
@@ThatTattooShow which model would suit what type of style and how much they vary in where they feel to use both with and without e-give. and what type of e-give you would use and why. these are just ideas
In my opinion the bishop wand doesn’t compare to the flux. I had a go of a bishop wand but I wasn’t a fan of it. If I can get hold of another one I’ll do a video.
For the kind of fineline dot stuff would you go for 2.5 instead of the 3.4 as well? I got the fluid 4.0 and it’s already crazy what it does but I’m looking at something to work with single needles and 3RL.
That’s down to personal preference I think. I know people that do fine line work with a 4mm stroke machine. Equally I know artists that can do everything thrown at them with a 2.5mm I suppose it comes down to what you are comfortable working with.
@@ThatTattooShow awesome to know cause that’s the one I just ordered. I’m in love with the Flux , I just think it’s so slow when it lines compared to my Dan Kubin... I come from coils originally and it seems I can’t line at the same speed as with a coil or a DK.
Color realism is so dope with the 3.2 i really like it for bng and even though its a short stroke i can line with it up to a 9rl but i really thi k the 2.5 us too short for my liking

I think all this new technology is leaving me behind. I have two of the 4mm spectra flux machines. I love them although a do find black n grey a lil harder then full colour with them. I would really be interested in a full comparison on the workings of the 4mm 3.5mm and 2.5mm machines. Great show guys!
Good video and shirt eh! But yeah, i'm thinking of getting an exo myself soon, it's my new favourite machine for sure. But if you're giving one away, I'll definitely stay tuned and maybe I'll be the lucky winner so I can save myself $1000 haha

The 4.0 you can get soft shading if using the right technique and needles etc. But the shorter stroke will be better and more efficient. I think the 3.2 could be a good solution as you would be having the best of both. I’ve tattooed myself with the xion in 3.2 stroke and it was nice and smooth for shade. It also packed the black in.
I like the 2.5 for black and grey and the 3.2 I have been using it this last few weeks and it’s great for some things although it’s all down to personal preference. but yeah totally it’s the exact same drive system. Just different grip, stroke length and has an rca module.
@@ThatTattooShow i was really hoping it to be more of a difference, theyre good machines! I wish they had a 3,7 stroke that would be perfect! Im thinking about trying the stigma force
Tbh I think 3.7 is to close to 4.0 for there to be much of a difference. Having the shorter stroke works much better for being able to layer colour without causing to much irritation to the skin and for slowing you to create a lot smoother black and grey more efficiently. Don’t get me wrong I can get smooth b&g with a flux 4.0 but it’s far more efficient using that shorter stroke and give a nicer effect in my opinion.
@@ThatTattooShow yeah true it would be very close that stroke but it still would hit a little different like the xion 3,7 ! I’m getting smooth shades with the 4.0 no problem but sometimes with black n grey its a little to hard. It’s just to bad the strokes aren’t interchangeable in the new machines haha that would be so nice
