I wish this had been possible in the game -- fighting on the Veldt, with a 1 percent chance of Kefka randomly descending to confront you instead of waiting.
I remember back in the day my buddies game glitched, they had 99 genji gloves and 99 of something else that I can't remember and they fought General Leo on the Veldt
This happened to me when I was young and tried to sketch Ultros with Relm. I didn't know about the glitch back then, but all of my characters changed colors (palette swap; Edgar's clothing was white, and Strago's was gray, which I at the time thought was AWESOME) and there were buffer overflows and underruns everywhere. I could have zero of an item and then underflow to a massive number, letting me sell huge numbers of items I didn't own. Enemies would regularly run out of MP but attempt to cast a spell anyway (they don't usually waste turns like this). My friends never believed me and I didn't know what happened until I grew up.
My immediate thought was "that sounds like a Sketch bug." By the way, the fan patch that overhauls the balance and adds/changes a whole bunch of stuff, Brave New World, fixed that bug.
@@JeddAhyoung Instead of changing colors when i finished cyan ending somehow before the boss fight my charachters were with magitek armor, but in a boss fight it was normal with no magitek, weird
I find myself more curious about what happened after the end of this video. Did the ending start playing? Did the fade to black we saw starting just.. stay that? Did it just go back to the Veldt like after the end of every other battle? Details requested!
this is the SNES just for the fact that Holy is called "Pearl" in this you can see it when he scrolls down the list of magics. it was changed to Holy in the GBA and PS1 version.
@ Supershadowman64 You are correct. It looks like a party wipe, but it does not ignore split damage and magic defense, and is severely weakened, despite having a spell power of 220, where Ultima has 150. You remove split damage and let it pierce defense, however, and he might as well be using the Light Of Judgment on you.
There is a slowdown in all versions, the only place you are able to notice it is some spot where you have a time limit... I don't remember details too well... also looks to me that the poster of the video recorded this from ZSNES
@sonne2 Terra is widely considered the main character, since she is the only character that can not be replaced in the plot line. Locke is generally accepted as the next in line, since he is around through most of the game.
Relm's Sketch ability may not be the best, but equipped with Espers that give good states can make her rather good to use. I've had her at level 60 and she dealt 9999 (Or whatever the max is) magic attacks. Her physical damage wasn't too bad either, but she's mostly a magic user.
@belartful That's two commands. An easier one command victory is Gau, equipped with a Genji Glove, an Offering, and two Imp lances. Use Stray Cat, get Cat Scratch, win. That way you can play Gau the way he was meant to be played (physical) instead of the above method which would have to focus Terra toward having higher HP.
I think that it would be awesome if Gau (correct me if I'm wrong on his name, haven't played in a long time) could learn some of the abilities of Kefka during this hack.
At the end... Kefka - I'M MELTIIIING, I'M MEEEEELTING, WHAT A WORLD WHAT A WORLD!! Well, what it seemed like to me. A pretty epic death. Lasted only about, forever. XD †Ozzy†
I totally got stuck at the airship part with the flying machines, then Ultros and his friend and THEN a giant super strong airship... It's crazy hard. I love the Ultros battle with Relm. It's so sad D:
okay, two questions. 1: What is the code to fight Kefka on the Veldt? 2: How did you get Edgars magic power so hi o.o 9999 healing to 3 targets at once.
@jbcxf -- Make sure you wait for him before jumping onto the airship at the end of the world of balance. If you wait, he'll come with like 5 seconds left on the clock. If you leave without him, it's doneso for Shadow -- can't get him in WoR.
How long did it take to find this guy in the Veldt? I thought only previously defeated monsters would be there. Did you save your game after the ending?
The thing about this boss is all the time, I see to many people simply use Offering + Genji Gloves to finish him off in a single attack. Somewhat overkill and boring. I've NEVER seen Goner before but that looked kick-ass awesome. The music even loaded to its own accord, nice. But I wonder what happened after the fight... was it considered the end of the game on the Veldt?
Agreed, they changed so many names, i still prefer the original ones. I still prefer Fire / Fire 2 / Fire 3 than Fire / Fira / Firaga for some reason =S
At the end of the floating continent when it says "airships below" don't ditch him! Say "wait" and then if you get the option again say "Gotta wait for shadow." He'll catch up with you when there's 5 seconds or less. Then you save him from the veldt cave, and you bet "stryker" and battle him in the colloseum.
Well, your argument is good, except that the final intro happens every time you fight final kefka, and then again, that means the music changes to. Basically, what i did is allow to fight every enemie ( Including Bosses ) in the game on the veldt. The others kefka forms didn't change the music, but they were glitchy.
1. genji glove + offering lets you attack 8 times in one turn, gauntlet merely made you hold a weapon with both hands (so gauntlet+offering would yield 4 strikes). 2. some bosses were immune to vanish; kefka was one of them (joker doom worked, however)
@zero71234 there is no main character in the game as a majority of the characters can be considered leads according to how ff6 was arranged, but in most people eyes, terra is the lead followed by celes and locke
@Shadowslittleslave he learns Kefkas ability did you ever wonder why his monster list was an odd number, through a glitch on the ps1 game you can have him leap kefka.
Guess Kefka got bored or something :P Kefka: "Man, those guys are slow! Leveling up and doing sidequests... Guess I'll have to go and give them some serious whooping! Uwe he he he he!"

if I may interject....... he was referring to "How can you claim stupid when your stupid yourself!" he meant the your in that should be you're. and yes, apostrophes are needed in that's. not always for its/it's, depending on the case. and finally: PATHETIC is spelled as such. When you're referring to someone as being something, use "you're" not "your".
Kefka is the strongest final boss in all FF saga... (story wise.. probably not in actual numbers as each FF has diferent balances) He absorbs into himself the power of the 3 gods that made the world, thus becoming a god himself... no one else has got even closer
By the way, only a few rather misplaced bosses naturally roam the veldt (no hacks, no cheats). The boss soldier during the "Save Terra from the Guards" sequence, Pearl/Holy Dragon, and the behemoth from the Veldt cave are the few who make it (unless I'm forgetting someone). You're not going to find Goddess in a nonhacked game.
Seeing Kefka's Godly visage slowly descend from the skies to wildly upbeat African percussion was hilarious.
I just LOVE how at 0:19 the game is like "OH SHIT IT'S KEFKA GUYS STOP EVERYTHING AND IT'S TIME TO BE DANCING MAAAAD"
HAHAHAHAHAH TRUE
When you grind so much the final boss gets tired of waiting
Kefka: IM THE MOST POWERFULL CREATURE
Edgar: Haha drill go brrrr
i imagine that meme xD
It's terrifying seeing Kefka descend like that in the Veldt.
Imagine after Kefka disintegrates, Gau just spins into frame wanting to rejoin the party as if a living god didn't just die in front of them
guauuuu
Gau your friend! Frieeend!!
I join you again!
Kefka realizes Gau's potential and decides to stop the party from farming rages
He doesn't want to be charmed by Nightshade rage again XD
No more Wind God Gau
Stray cat already at his location

Without Omen too ahahahahahahahah

Kefka: "I can't have you training on the Veldt, I kill you!"

Wouldn't he be like: "oh me damn it!"
since he is a god shouldn't he said me damn it
