I have had 3 different fitbits and I pretty much always charge my Fitbit when I take it off to have a shower each day I never have any battery issues. The only exception was I did have a third party charger for a while that wasn’t making good contact with the fitbit which caused slow charging issues and consequently it wasn’t charging the battery up fully. So in my opinion you should always be able to go 1-2 days without charging regardless of the model of fitbit. My current fitbit (Sense) must be at least 3 years old and the battery still lasts two days.
yea yea. the charge 5 is supposed to be water proof for swim, but I think it is a bad idea to wear it in shower everyday. I used to have a charge 2, it was not water proof so I couldn't wear it in shower, but it lasted forever!
You’re so active Ming! I love it! You’re selling me on Apple watch (battery life over years) 🙈 but I do like the active calorie count on Fitbit lol. I still have charge 3. Hide my debit card 😛
I was a long time Fitbit fanboy until I my Samsung Galaxy watches(Active, Active 2, and Galaxy Watch 4). But I still use my Fitbit Sense sometimes even though I don't think its as accurate as the Samsung watches. And the app is free.
Hi. I don’t know how this translates in wearable devices, but in traditional watches, 50m of water resistance tends to mean splashproof. So you can shower with it (but consider that soaps may degrade rubber seals and therefore impact water resistance if you shower with it), but it’s likely that you can’t swim with it.
interesting! So my fitbit has a swim exercise to record swim workouts. If the device is not really waterproof, then it is a pretty useless function haha
I’ve been using Fitbit charge 5 since 2021. It broke last week and when I asked customer service and it’s lifespan is 2 to 3 year. I bought Apple Watch SE, I hate it 😂 I’ll give it a month and I’m sure I’ll go back to Fitbit 🥹 My old Fitbits 4 and 3 functions perfectly
@@MsMinglifestyle My charge 5 battery lasted forever too, but I do think that water thing might have something to do with it. Do you put it on water lock @MsMinglifestyle? Also, how deep of water and how long? Sorry if these questions have been asked, this is the first video of yours I’ve seen.
You said you’ve had to replace your Fitbit every year..your Apple Watch may live longer, but will it be as accurate in year 2,3,4? The only reason im here watching this video is because I borrowed a series 3 Apple Watch just to try since the band on my Fitbit charge 5 can’t be fixed, and I feel like this Apple Watch is terrible at tracking! Someone told me maybe because it’s old. It’s cool to have something to look at, but I know it’s not accurate. And like you said, too many hoops to just through to track sleeping and stuff. I don’t think it’s worth it for me. THANK YOU for this detailed video!
Thank you! So someone gifted me her older Apple Watch, I think it was series 3 or 4, and I did a comparison video back then. It was pretty accurate! But you have to manually start everything. Fitbit sometimes auto track when it realized my HR was high
Apple watches after Jan 2024 have their oxygen sensors disabled because of a lawsuit (expires 2028). I often wear my Fitbit Ch. 4 above right ankle with my apple 8 on wrist. Ch. 4 is for steps/miles only. I trust Apple 8 is for health stats use for activity also. Keeping both out of the water. Fitbit junky also, have all except the Sense series. No battery issues except Ch. 3 (RIP). Ch.5 has problems.
Yea it was so hard to wear two trackers 🤣 I used to wear them on different wrists when I do these comparisons, but people pointed out that one hand is dominant hand may record more movement. So… 😅
I think so too! For the functions I thought Fitbit was really good! Until mine keep dying after each year. I think it’s cuz I shower and swim with them…

I never realized how much variety physical activities you do, amazing! 🤩 🙌
Yea yea I try to to a little bit of everything~ so I can be more balanced haha
Nice dog shirt.
Getting more than 2 days on my galaxy watches. 7 ultra and 6 pro.

Haha I think the earlier version of Fitbit Charge actually had better quality. My charge 2 lasted way longer than my charge 5s

Yea yea. The one thing I miss about my Fitbit tho, is its sleep tracking. I think it’s more accurate than my Apple watch

Thanks dude 🤘 subbed!
Thanks for the sub!🙏
i love the zone mins in my fitbit
Me too! That’s one thing I miss from my old Fitbit!
My fitbit charge last FOREVER!!!
Was it charge 5? My charge 2 lasted forever until I switched to charge 5. I also wear it in water since it’s supposed to be safe

Life is an approximation of reality.
Fitbit warranties their watches for the first year.
Mine broke right after the 1 year warranty expired…
I’m looking to buy a new Fitbit now and they also offer a 2 year device protection plan for $29.

Here’s the video: Fitbit VS Apple Watch? which watch tracks more steps? I wore both for a week to compare!

@@MsMinglifestyle I’ll check this one out! Thank you!

Your ultra is so much more accurate in every aspect trust me lol
Haha really? How do you know? I like my ultra way more than my previous series 2 or 3!
I think your workout was pausing because your Fitbit was bumping up against the pause button.
Yea it was so hard to wear two trackers 🤣 I used to wear them on different wrists when I do these comparisons, but people pointed out that one hand is dominant hand may record more movement. So… 😅
So far, I like Apple watches better because they don’t seem to die as fast as Fitbits do (as in permanently, not just out of having to charge)!
I think so too! For the functions I thought Fitbit was really good! Until mine keep dying after each year. I think it’s cuz I shower and swim with them…
Apple Watch looks so big and bulky. Don’t think I would wear it
Yea I got the ultra 2 for longer battery life but the only drawbacks is that it’s soooooo big!
