but where do you see in the rules you can put off a rune when you turn the magnetic circle ??????????
You can put off a rune when you do some actions on the board (when you take a legend or a fan) NEVER when you turn the circle !!!!!!!

Hey mate really do appreciate this. Seems I have played this wrong since my very first game. I went back through the rulebook and I think I got it confused with the page 12 diagram under adjust tempo wheel 'discard benefits'. The diagram shows move volume tracker, adjust tempo wheel and them RUNE TOKEN. It then talks about rune bonuses on the same page. But I took that diagram as to take off a rune token after adjust tempo wheel. I will pin this comment. Thanks again.

Courtney’s name is Faustina Edele, they’re printed on the backs of their cards! Agree on the coins part, even more of a con to sell metal coins as an extra to rub it in

Omg I feel so stupid for not checking the back of the card for the name 🫣 but part of me still thinks she looks like a Courtney lol
Yeah as I got this game from my FLGS after the campaign the coins weren't an option for me. Having it as an add-on shows the worst parts of KS. Make it all deluxe or all standard, but I really don't want it mixed with quality of components. Thanks heaps for the comment

Thanks for the round and review. Just saw the rulebook, it does look more complex. Though since I'm someone who really doesn't care about how much the AI scores, I think it will be easy to simplify the solo and just make a quick reference sheet for those things that do influence my gameplay (removing cards, badges, etc). I think it is hard nowadays to come up with solos to please everyone: those who just want someone to block and take cards, those who want a full emulation. I just want one in the middle lol

You are right, some want basic solo, some would prefer just playing 2 handed and others want the full AI bot experience. It's impossible to please everyone and if you can simplify to improve your experience then I think that makes a lot of sense. I hope you did enjoy the game 👍

I've played this twice in two-player mode and am just starting a solo game. Came here to get help because the instructions are confusing AF, and so far just confirming that the instructions are confusing as heck! 4 minutes in and already see several wrong or confusing things. Someone already mentioned the rune thing - I was doing it the way you did before too, realized by the end of the first game that I was doing it wrong. The rules say to start your meeple on a certain "region," but you've placed it on a "location" like the Rival. You then move it to a "region." This is the part of the rules I'm finding extremely confusing and came here for clarity on. You’re also using the wrong meeple for the NPC - it has its own meeple.

Setting up for solo mode the first time is probably even more tedious than for multiplayer! Because if you don't absolutely have all the rules memorized for the multiplayer, you're going to find yourself going back and forth between the two large rulebooks. This game already takes up so much space (my entire medium-sized dining table). I do not have room to keep two open rulebooks on top of everything, even one open rulebook is pushing it! I have to use three different chairs as additional "table" space to set rulebooks and guides and box on top of. It's absurd! My housemate is gone for a week, so I'm planning to play it multiple times this week so I can memorize all the rules better bc I last played this 3-4 months ago and it feels like I'm starting over again, or worse!
What's insane is that I still haven't even "unlocked" any of the extra material suggested after first game. I cannot even fathom if they had us unboxing it all at once.

Finished my first game of solo mode. That took all day. Partly because I didn't have another person to avoid analysis paralysis for. I won 39 to 26 using all the easy mode options, but I'm sure I didn't play it entirely right. Couldn't remember if one rule I remembered was actually in the rulebook or if I'd kind of just assumed it, but couldn't find it anywhere in the book when searching for it. Do players get the melody shown on the crest track at the beginning of each song phase? By the time I started revealing the blue gems on the track, I figured that was the only possible significance... though it did turn out that there was one other use for the melody on the tracker in solo mode, which was to determine how much to spend on challenging the Rival.

Amazing input. Yeah I know exactly what you are talking about starting on location and moving to a region at the start. This confused the hell out of me. I certainly apologise for any mistakes. It was a real tough one to wrap your head around some of the rules. I will definitely try better moving forward.

Mate this is super helpful for others. I really appreciate the time you took to outline all these points. Definitely the most complicated and convuleted solo modes I have played for a long time.

Looks beautiful on the table! And how cute is that boom box counter?! Too bad about the convoluted solo tho ☹️
I've only played Cavern Tavern. It's very simple; collecting ingredients and filling orders... I remember enjoying it but I think it might be too simple for me now. Merchants Cove sounds really cool, I gotta try that one!

Yeah Merchants Cove is a blast, just straight up fun learning new mini games. It's also a solid game and from all my plays seems fairly balanced across the characters. It does sound interesting that all the games are very different weights. I guess in a way that's goo to add that variety to the universe. The Sixth Realm looks very interesting also.
