Anyone getting the 'TC-SST recalibration data not found' error message when attempting to enter the teach-in section, there are two files required to be in two certain locations: AMT_17800000_000204_dio30_C.cbf must be put into C:\Program Files\PassThruCAN\DiagDB\CBF. and TI_Info.tipart must be put into C:\Program Files\PassThruCAN\DiagDB\XML If you don't have an XML folder, create one. These two key files can be found in the main directory of Jackson's linked documents (SST Support Files) Enjoy boys.
You're a legend this was what I struggled with and ended somehow getting mine to work but couldn't remember a year or so later how I did it I'll pin this comment to the top so it can help others in the future
Good evening, I'm trying to do this process on my 09 Lancer Ralliart. At first I was getting a different error message apart from this one and after doing what you said it got passed that one and now I'm getting this one even after creating those additional folders. Any guidance would be much appreciated, Thank you.
Hey guys since I was doing it anyway and my channel is mainly based around the SST Evo X and Ralliart platform I figuired i would make this video on the teach in process. Hopefully it's helpful if you were planning on doing this yourself in the future Also guys I forgot to say in the video if your computer freezes during the process or you feel like it's revving for too long you can turn the car off and start the process again and it won't cause any issues.
I just got it done remotely and since I have the program downloaded in my laptop I am going to be doing it myself and your video helped me out understand how to execute it. Thank you!
@@agmendoza2830 ohh ok that seems a little high and would run the chance of going over temp during the process but im sure they would know more about it than me as ive only been doing it for a year and a half now.
Its a great video to have. Idk if you said it or not but if the program/computer freezes or stops working, its ok, just restart the program or computer and continue where you left off, this doesnt need to be done all at once, thats why you select which parts to use. No need to freak out if something messes up it wont hurt your sst or ecu or anything, itll all be fine.
Hey Jack! How have you been? I need you again, I just happen to get the famouis P184B code on my sst (shift fork 4 malfunction, only code i got, lost 2 4 6 gears), i ordered a new shift fork with a magnet installed to replace my current one, im thinking on dropping the trans, swaping the shift fork, assembling it again and try if its fix my question is: in my case, what would be my procedure? install trans > wipe code > turn on car for the first time, is the trans gonna recognize the working shift fork? or do I have to perform the teach in as soon as I first start the car? Maybe if you could please ask Akracing or someone you know have some info on this, thank you my friend. btw I live in Paraguay, south america next to argentina and brasil so sending my trans for a rebuild somewhere is not an option for me heheh
Hey mate, sorry to hear about the shift fork issues. I can't answer that personally but my suggestion would be to join the Facebook group Mitsubishi SST Owners as there's lots of workshops in that group as well as people who have fixed their own SST. Join up and ask there and you'll get some helpful answers I'm sure. If not you could try emailing AK Racing to ask them but I think posting in that group is your best bet
@@JacksonStrain Did you find an alternative to find the SST temperature gauge in torque pro as the Advanced EX plugin got removed? I've heard OBDFusion with the add-on 'shows' the SST temp but not sure how accurate that'll be if it even works
hey mate, I think there’s something wrong with the google drive document linked in the description. It’s saying I don’t have access to it. Do you happen to have a backup? Cheers.
Ohh damn sorry to hear that, I don't have another copy but if you google sst teach in you should find some old forums posts with how to guides and see if they have the files you need
@@JacksonStrain Thanks for your reply. I'm about to change the oil and external filter on my SST and wanted to know, do I have to do the "teach-in" at the same time, or is it not related to the oil change?
when this process is being done in sport mode, does it fix normal and s sport mode together or do i have to do all of that process again for each mode? Also I own an 2015 evo mr, would it work?
Sorry I don't, I remember ut being a massive struggle too. But I think now Evoscan have it all so if you buy Evoscan you get access to it? Don't quote me on that but I've heard people say it's the case
Hi unfortunately it seems harder and harder to get the correct files these days. Best thing you can do is yet Evo Scan as they no have all the files to do teach ins from what I've heard
Hi everyone, I’ve got a issue with the pass thru can program after downloading it and opening the program up its only displaying 7 steps not 8 which is reset clutch gains? Has this happened to anyone and how did you fit it thanks.
As in the spark cut launch control limiter that only let's me rev to 4.5k? If so no he hasn't but doing the teach in the car was still able to rev to where it needed. I do have the map without spark cut though and can flash it back on if needed
When I purchased my MR new in 2008, the SST had a really bad delay engaging first gear no matter how hard you pressed on the gas pedal. It was so annoying. As time passed, tuners learned to remove that first gear limiter which allows it to engage off the line quicker. I still wish it was a little more quicker. It’s the one thing that annoys me a bit as my wife’s Mini Cooper S launches allot quicker
I’m super greatful for this video of yours and the access to the software. I have 145,000 miles and have not performed a teach in since the dealer last serviced the transmission at 30,000 miles
That's awesome man and I'm glad its helpful as That's a big reason why I started making videos. Your car will definitely love the teach in then and should make it drive a lot better
Haha thanks bro, I know the SST stuff isn't for everyone but appreciate the support even more since I know it's not something you'd like but still took the time to help me out
The video shows how to download it but the program doesnt work. I found that the passthru can files were all modied by an unknown source which made the program inoperable. I downloaded the program as per instructions multiple times and still didnt work. Could you remake an updated video on how to get the program working?
Ahh damn that sucks i know i had trouble getting it to work when I downloaded it originally but after a few days of trial and error I got it working. I don't want to delete the program off my laptop and try again but ill see if I can get another laptop to try and download it again and see what's happening

It won't be there from idling regardless, I always drive for 10 or so mins to get to the temp needed
