Yes it is. It's a Sonor Prolite steel. It's a beautifully articulate snare drum. I actually prefer the sound of aluminum for buzz rolls, but we decided to try the steel. Paul.
Thanks. My snare tuning secret is to not overtighten the bottom head, which will choke off the snare response. The bass drum as isn't overly dampened. There is, of course, EQ and compression added post recording. Paul
