I shoot a P320 Max in IPSC competition. It’s an awesome speed shooter. The XCarry Legion owner is most likely going to kit this out with an optic . It would make a great USPSA CO gun as the added sight radius of the FS Legion isn’t necessary with a dot installed and the slightly reduced muzzle weight may lead to faster target transitions. The magwell is good for IDPA CO but , if removed for carry or USPSA , the existing bevels in the grip still make for fast reloads . I don’t use the short Legion base pads with the magwell. I use the Sig aluminum extended base pads that stick out an extra 1/2” . It would be good choice for 3gun as well. It could be a fine duty pistol - a P320 on steroids, It doesn’t have the slide cuts of the FS Legion , so less likely to get muck around the barrel. The threaded barrel is fine but not something I would ever use but it ticks all the boxes for a tactical pistol like the PDP SD Pro.
I like the TXG framed Legion’s added frame weight and heavy barrel specifically for competition Yesterday I ran my Sig Max against a Shadow Systems DR920P . 10 rounds fast at 7 yards - the lightweight compensated SS shot a 3” vertical line group and felt fairly flat but was climbing. The much heavier non-comped Sig shot flat as well and printed a tight golf ball sized group . I don’t shoot my PDP in competition as it’s too light and snappy but it’s a lot lighter than the XCarry Legion - so it depends on your mission. Heavier guns are better at the range or for home defence but lighter guns are easier to carry . The PDP comes with extra springs for suppressed use - supposedly folks have had less issues suppressed with the Walther . They’ve not legal here so not a factor for me @@TineEdong
@@stovepipe8966 I had a SS DR920P I had some issues with failure to feed, failure to fires with 115gr. Sold it for the p320 legion. My friend is going to trade me back my old P229 I’ll build it up as a home defense pistol and I have a P226 I’m building just because it wants to be a legion. It’s a 96’ West German it’s really cool. It’s what got me into guns. I did 6 years in the Army and never really got into it until I got out……. Wtf right? I’ve almost been out 10 years
It’s the ultimate duty spec ops, swat, and/or seal sidearm allowing them to dial sights to their own needs also allowing them to put a suppressor on it and still have an accurate not very snappy gun that’s easy to get the first shot off with and faster with the follow ups because of that tungsten infused grip and all that weight. I will have one some day but as of now I had the option to get one when I went in my local store looking for a p10c and they happened to have it but it couldn’t sway me sway from the p10.
I have found the xcarry legion to be the best bang for buck from Sig. So many features with an extra mag, makes this such a great package and less expensive than most all other models in this category. I view it as a do all pistol. It is a great shooter out of the box, crazy accurate and easy shooting. You can easily buy another grip module and utilize for carry. You can also easily remove the magwell for a nice look too. The threaded barrell is a must IMO and can buy a great comp for not much money at all, and always be ready if you need a silencer. To me it's hands down better than the x Five, and closer to the AXG Pro, but more versatile. I really like it, and was waiting 2 years for this. I feel it is Sigs best offering.
@Michael Shearer i’m glad that is working out so well for you. I have run it suppressed and I have yet to get through a full mag without failures. overall, I get what you’re saying though. Thank you very much for your comment and for stopping by. I really appreciate it!
To me it seems that most of the features like adding a comp the flared Magwell flat trigger adjustable sights and the Red Dot capability really seem to put it into like a competition class in my eyes
Sounds like a good home defense pistol. Wouldn’t want to carry it all day. But I imagine it would shoot smooth and heavy weight lends to easier follow up shots.
I got it bc it is the best value for features if you plan on using a suppressor. This is ready to go out of the box. If you bought a base model p320 you'd be spending about 500 or so to get the upgrades this comes with.
I could see this as a range toy, competition gun, or home defense gun. I am not a fan of adjustable sights on a carry gun so that wouldn’t be a consideration for me, but I know there are plenty of folks out there who don’t mind it. Also, the weight isn’t objectionable as I typically carry a full size 1911 anyway. Good looking gun. I had an X5 Legion and it was one of the finest striker fired guns I’ve ever shot.
I have this gun. I use it for home defense. Has everything I want. Heavy frame for level shooting, night sights (option for red dot), mag well for fast reloading, and threaded barrel for suppressor so I don't blow out my ear drums. I've thought about getting an M17 in case I wanted the lighter frame and longer barrel. All the parts are interchangeable, for the most part, so I can pick and choose how I want it set up.
Old school guys used to carry 40oz 8 round 1911s for years . This pistol can be used for all of the above. The magwell can come off so it's no factor . Surely she is a hefty beast but it can be carried as your EDC . Where I see this X-Carry LEGION shining is for the people who already have P320 X5 TXG pistol for Comps or Duty and they shoot it very well and want the same grip and weight for their EDC so you can get the same grip as your Comp / EDC Pistol . I'm a bigger guy so I'll have absolutely 0 issues carrying this PISTOL.
I’m a big Glock and CZ fan. But I have this gun (as well as the full size version of it). It’s truly insane how well these shoot right out of the box. I shoot these right along side of my shadow 2 and my Tactical Sport Orange and there’s no clear winner. It’s honesty a fantastic firearm. Worlds better than my old P226.
Interesting. So by your comment and comparison, I assume that it is a range gun for you. Thank you very much for sharing that with us and for stopping by.
So I own this gun and currently it is my night stand gun/fun gun at the our property. Own glocks for 20 plus years and still have them. I did however buy a Wilson combat lower $65 and now have shed the weight if I decide the carry it in my safariland with my TLR-1. I now prefer it over my glocks due to quicker sight in target because of grip angle. More accurate follow up shots and the trigger and surpressor night sights blow stick Glock away. Bought for $950. Keep tung infused grip in all the time unless I am carrying in holster for long period of time then switch to the WC lower. Hope this helps guys.
I use mine in USPSA matches. I bought it before I found out USPSA. I started out using a P226 Legion SAO but decided that I liked the shorter but stronger trigger pull and it was already cut for an optic. I already had a Romeo1 Pro lying around so I installed it after using in a couple of matches. I love the gun now with the optic and I shoot better in the matches - faster and more accurate. I am thinking of getting an AXG frame so I can add grips with a nicer feel (G10, palm swell, etc.). Did not think about it till I picked up a buddy's 320 with the aluminum grip unit and nice scales that really fit my hand. Like the comment below, I typically carry 21 round mags or 17s that have a 6 round extension plate and spring. All in all, I love it and the new grip module is certainly just because I want it. The stock Legion grip is very nice. I will, of course, be adding a gas pedal take down lever when I change out the grip. I do wish that it did not have the threaded barrel and I may replace. It is a pain to have to locktite it on and wrench it off just to clean it.
I got one for carry and I love it, but I think it will work for just about anything you want to do with it. Feels great, concealable, and beautiful. The flared mag-well makes it print like a mother, but you can remove it if you are concerned about that. Mine also doesn't have the threaded barrel, so it is a little bit shorter, which is nice.
It's a mix between a competition shooter and a defensive carry pistol, and the flared mag well is for rapid reloading. I like it, apart from the rear sight coming off with a red dot. I'm torn between this and the walther pdp
I love shooting my Legion full size. The carry version ... I like but. Customers let me shoot their carry version and it shoots great. The problem is no one I know can successfully use a suppressor with it, malfunctions etc. I haven't been able so suppress any of my P320s for the same reason. People I know just put compensators on the threaded barrel or buy an aftermarket barrel compensator set. The use is to customize, range toy and for practical use night stand firearm.
the x carry legion seems to be more toward a carry gun. the full size legion seems more for competition. the x carry seems a little big & over done for a carry option. honestly i am like you, i don't know what the use for this gun would be. there are a lot better carry options, especially at this price point. i am not sure how i feel about these metal framed or tungsten infused striker fired pistols. if i want to carry a heavier gun, it would be a metal framed da sa or sa only handgun.
@MDpolo only asking because I'm from Canada where handguns are banned unless you already own one I have an x carry but wanted a full size and couldn't get one in time
I have this one coming and it is one I am very excited about. And I mean very. That tungsten grip and trigger and color, I am just excited about it. I will be using this as an owb edc. I dont necesarily have to have the threaded barrel but I can switch that out for a regular. I am a full size gun guy but this one has a full size feel to me and I am hoping that tungsten weight helps with recoil a lot. Thanks for doing a video on this one. Great home defense/bedside gun too. For someone who likes to owb carry, this is a nice and diff one to have. Idk I have always liked the p320 xcarry line and this one just does it for me over all. Cannot wait to have it in hand and shoot it

@@a.d.c7941 i actually bought this gun today. I plan to use it multipurpose. Edc every day appendix. With the right belt not too bad. Would buy a wilson lower just in case you ever want it!
@@RightmireJ congrats on a great purchase man. How are you liking it? Those Wilson Lowers look good. I do love the complete gray look of the original on this pistol. But I’m sure the Wilson grip looks good too. I am in the process of trying to find a replacement flush fit barrel. Zev makes one and I called them today to ask if it would fit. They said as long as its an xcarry pistol it would fit but not sure if I trust that.
We all have personal preferences, but this is heavy for CCW. At least for me. It would be very uncomfortable. Thank you very much for stopping by. I really appreciate it.
I wouldn't do this to my X carry Legion. But could you stipple this weapon? This pistol is the finest pistol I've ever owned. Trigger pull, mag release and mag insertion. Comes with nice night sights. downside is, it's hard to-find magazines for it, better off trying to find mags online than asking any local gun store. I have 10 mags for all my other pistols plus some.. but only two for this pistol. ALSO if your local dealership tells you the regular sig p320 9mm mag will fit, it won't. The mag might fit if you take off the flared mag well, but I don't even want to try. This pistol can be used in all categories. I carry it concealed, do amazing at the range, and recommend it to any law enforcement officer. it's a professional's pistol.
The SIG P320 Navy edition has 21 round magazines it's not as nice as the Legion model but very simular the 21 round magazines stick out of that magwell and are way easier to strip out if needed l think the Legion should come with 3 - 21 round magazines like the P320 Navy does it fits this gun so much better than the 17 round does 17 round magazines are great for the base P320 X carry model without the magwell and threaded barrel
@@MDpolo l have the Navy P320 Carry a standard P320 X Carry 9mm and a P320 fullsize 4.7 barrel in a X frame in 357 SIG / 40SW combo with many upgrades including 20 round extended magazine baseplates and Apex trigger love the P320 platform with those beefy slide tabs
I have this and a specter I love both of them I can shoot better with the heavier legion gun and I'll I will ever shoot is paper unless we get invaded. What else would you ever use it for? I took the huge mag-well off it right away and got all the Legion mags so I can use the mags in either gun. Maybe I should be clear about the mags. I got all Legion mags but without the mag-well I think the specter mags would work in either one , but I like the legion mags. I realize these guns are not cheap and instead of 2 Sigs I could have 3 or 4 other 9mm handguns but I wanted the 2 guns that I liked and intend to use these for a long time.
I have an old P320 RX that has a Romeo1, suppressor height sights (rear and front), and threaded barrel. I just bought the XCarry tungsten grip module and skeletonized flat trigger and it has transformed the gun into a better version of this since it maintains rear sights. I use it for home defense with the 21 round mags. Would not dare think of carrying it. P365 models for that.
for me this is my perfect duty set up. I am 5'8" 150lbs so a full size pistol just doesn't fit me. it is a little on the heavier side so I wouldn't want to conceal carry it all day, but I could if necessary. I run the x compact w/ a wilson combat grip as my EDC and it is perfect for every day carry etc but not as a duty weapon per say. the modularity between the two is why I have chosen them. this version is a very flat shooter for me
I’m very glad that it works for you. This is a good example of how choosing a carry weapon is such a personal choice. Thank you very much for stopping by!
Sig's options with the P320 have me baffled, especially as of late. It is, as if they are throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. Personally, I am not a huge fan of the 320. The mushy trigger, lockup issues, and my own personal doubt, have really turned me off of the platform.
I mean some hunters might be interest to make less noise for themselves and the dog(s), but will dislike the weight. For competition use, mags lack capacity in some disciplines and there are weight limits too + have to fit a box which the max version doesn't fit that good either unless you grind down the mag extensions. The can and weight might be probably best suited for home defence. No damaged ears, night sights and probably quick follow up shots. Maybe it makes more sense for those that already have different grip moduls or it is made specifically to buy other grip moduls to make it suit different roles?
That’s why I am a bit stumped. For all the roles that you mention, I can think of better choices. At least for me. Thank you very much for stopping by. I appreciate it!
It seems to me they intended it to be a duty gun that could flex into the competition realm. I can only assume they intended the threaded barrel to be fitted with a compensator when flexing into a competition. I personally don't own any 320s and I agree with you that, for me at least, this doesn't really fit into any need I have. In addition, if what some of the others who've commented are correct about not being able to suppress it without additional springs and parts swaps then I'd definitely pass on it. I'm still curious to see more about the 320 in "best millimeter" though.
The straight triggers in 320s don’t actually reduce lb per pull, they reduce the feel of the trigger pull. They are perfectly safe for duty or concealed carry. Tons of safety built into these pistols.
I don’t. This one is quite large. I can only speak to things as it pertains to my needs, my body size and shape. If you can conceal this weapon without problem, my hat is off to you. I never said that mag wells are only for competition. I have one on my carry pistol.
Makes no sense, I have a x5 and xCarry. This is simply to me anyway, an Instagram or TH-cam gun for looking cool. The purpose of the carry is to chase a more compact and confident feel, but then they extend a barrel making it almost the size of the Five. Why? They added weight in the grip, but shortened the slide to save weight? (Again with a longer barrel) Infused the grip with tungsten but didn’t come with the internal weight? I don’t get it either. I use the carry for faster shooting and home defense and the Five for precision target shooting.
I’ve got a 229 legion sao rxp and 226 Zev. I miss when sig made high quality guns vs p320 Lego guns. P320 makes perfect sense for the army or cops. Gun with different hand sizes and slides and caliber etc. But as an individual owner? It’s inferior to old sigs
I am not a fan of the 320 and this one doesn’t have a purpose. IMO the mag well is hideous, the beaver tail isn’t needed and I think Sig needs to change up the rear sight/mounting plate to keep the rear sight. Could the barrel be a little longer… 🤦🏼♂️ I have no need for this pistol…
Thank you for the video, I personally can’t stand this gun though, it’s overpriced , you can put one of these together yourself and save a ton of money, last but not least this gun functions terribly suppressed. If you want a real legion, get a 226 or 229.
I have the carry legion and the x5. I have been blown away straight up. My fun of choice prior is my 226 in 357 sig mainly because I shoot the hell out of it. Weight, grip, sights the 226 is an amazing piece of hardware. That said the only gun I shoot and have shot better with has been the x5 until I bought this fugly hybrid step child, which I shoot 99% as well but wanted something more carry friendly and suppressor ready, I have an aac suppressor on mine that has functioned flawlessly with everything I’ve put through it except steel cased wolf. Just sayin I’m not the biggest fan of my regular p320 even though I wanted to be. Dollar for dollar though the legion x5 and carry legion are amazing and hard to beat in my opinion, I have 2k rounds through my x5 and 800 or so through the carry so can’t attest to a 15k reliability but so far they are the best money I’ve spent in the handgun dept.

@@MDpolo I LOVE HEARING THIS!! I just have a very good feeling about this one. Hearing its your friends favorite makes me so happy about it!! I will for sure let you know! I am one of your subs so I will for sure be in touch!
I think with a shorter flush barrel and minsu the magwell it would be a nice carry pistol.
I agree with you. Thank you very much for stopping by.
What would I use this for? A winter carry gun . Preferably a shoulder holster with winter coat 👍
We all have personal preferences, but this is heavy for CCW. At least for me. It would be very uncomfortable. Thank you very much for stopping by. I really appreciate it.
👍
I completely agree. I was looking at the Navy last week at my local Range USA. Thank you very much for stopping by.

It’s a do it all pistol..!! 😂💪🏼🤷🏽♂️ add some killer innovations aftermarket parts and your golden! 🫡
Thank you very much. I appreciate your feedback and that you took the time to watch.
Nice set up. Thank you very much for stopping by.
for me this is my perfect duty set up.
And Suggestions on a Safariland holster that may fit this beauty.
Regrettably I don’t. Have not looked into holsters for it. Perhaps a viewer can help. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Sig's options with the P320 have me baffled, especially as of late. It is, as if they are throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. Personally, I am not a huge fan of the 320. The mushy trigger, lockup issues, and my own personal doubt, have really turned me off of the platform.
There’s a couple versions of the P320 line that I do enjoy, but this one has me baffled. Thank you very much for stopping by.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I bought two for range and home defense- no plans to suppress…
I'd buy it. Most likely for off body carry... But yeah.
I don’t care how so called “heavy it is”, I’ll conceal it. Currently carry my full size Spectre Comp, no problems.
I'm' wondering if it's a solution in search of a problem - or a pistol in search of a market. 🤔
I’m wondering the same thing. As always, thank you very much for stopping by.
Hey Polo, just got my p320 xcarry legion in today. Absolutely love it and cant wait to shoot it. Let me know if you want to shoot mine.
Congratulations! Please let me know what your shooting impressions are. I’d love to shoot it!
@@MDpolo I most certainly will. And that can happen! I don’t believe we are from each other.
Thank you very much for your comment. I enjoyed reading it. Regarding the “best millimeter“. Stay tuned…

Will do! 👍
Why would someonwwant a 30 percent lighter trigger in your CARRY
The straight triggers in 320s don’t actually reduce lb per pull, they reduce the feel of the trigger pull. They are perfectly safe for duty or concealed carry. Tons of safety built into these pistols.
All personal preference. Thank you for watching.
Tell me why you feel a flared magwell seems to only be an option for a competition handgun?….that’s absurd.
I don’t. This one is quite large. I can only speak to things as it pertains to my needs, my body size and shape. If you can conceal this weapon without problem, my hat is off to you. I never said that mag wells are only for competition. I have one on my carry pistol.
Sigs 19x on steroids
It sure is!
(Again with a longer barrel)
Infused the grip with tungsten but didn’t come with the internal weight?
I don’t get it either. I use the carry for faster shooting and home defense and the Five for precision target shooting.
You add a comp to it and will shoot circles around the x5.
Anyone actually get this to run suppressed?
I’ve got a 229 legion sao rxp and 226 Zev.
I miss when sig made high quality guns vs p320 Lego guns.
P320 makes perfect sense for the army or cops. Gun with different hand sizes and slides and caliber etc. But as an individual owner? It’s inferior to old sigs
I totally agree. I have a 226 Legion SAO and is one of my all-time favorites. Thank you very much for stopping by.
If I wanted to carry a sig that is traditionally non carry it won’t ever be this when a p210 exists
Well said! Thank you very much for stopping by.
Thank you for the video, I personally can’t stand this gun though, it’s overpriced , you can put one of these together yourself and save a ton of money, last but not least this gun functions terribly suppressed. If you want a real legion, get a 226 or 229.
Yeah, I don’t get it either. Thank you very much for watching.
Thank you very much for sharing your story. I really appreciate it!
Whats the purpose? ....like every other gun! to shoot it and have a blast ❤
Dude never point an empty gun at yourself or the camera 🤣🤣🤣
+Jay Tea I don’t point guns at myself and don’t worry - you can’t get shot through the camera.
Issues running suppressed. L from Sig. Unfortunately.
