You're life saver! I first noticed a little oil but thought maybe it was just a spill. But then it came back after cleaning it. And then check engine light came on and code was p00013. Dodges are nice because you can cycle the key from off to run 3 times landing on run for the last one and it'll flash the codes. There's another way to get the whole instrument panel to light up but I don't know what that all means. Lol. But...the code came up p00013 and found out it stood for bank 1 camshaft 2 position actuator circuit open. I think it means oil got into the sensors so I've got to change them too. But I wanted to fix the root first so thank you, and sorry for my long comment. Just glad you made this video and saving me loads of money. I wouldn't have been able to afford it.
Terrific video! I’m doing the exact same thing to an ‘08 Chrysler Sebring with the same engine. This was very helpful and easy to follow. Much appreciated.
Amazing video! I'm saving it so i can do it this weekend. Single momma of 3 and cant keep taking my car to the mechanic. Do you have a video about the AC system by chance? Ive taken it to the shop literally 10 times this summer because the ac stops working every couple weeks. My boss paid to have a new system put in last year. It works for 3 weeks then back to no ac. 😊
@@caseyknoble6276 Hello and thanks for the comments!! I don’t have a video on the AC system. Most people selling their cars with AC issues say “it just needs Freon”, but most of the time it more complicated and more expensive to get it fixed. It could be some sort of leak somewhere but it could be a number of things and it usually calls for special equipment and experience to properly repair. I wish you the best! Peace and Blessings!!
I need help! I have a 2013 Dodge Avenger 2 4 L . The engine light is on & it's misfiring on cylinder #2. That's also the only code I'm getting. P0302. I've changed the plugs & coils. Cleaned the injectors, checked for vacuum leaks. The ohms are good on the injectors. It's still misfiring. I don't want to replace the O2 or MAF sensor unless I know that's the issue. It's done this before & we did the same thing as above & it's done great for 30,000 miles. So I'm at a loss on what could be causing it this time. HELP! 😔
It may not be completely helpful info but I had p0302 misfire after I replaced the coil pack as well. I had my valve cover leak into my new coil pack I kept getting the code. Thier is a recall on the catalytic converter on this vehicle. So dodge might be able to warranty the 0-2 as well. Also map sensor is around $30 . That can throw a p0302 code as well.
It wasn’t overheating, it was leaking oil then that oil was burning on the exhaust. I have a few other videos on overheating issues with this particular engine but not with this car.
Mines smoke a little so I can’t drive it it’s like a grey smoke the mechanic told me that I have a that I have a blown head gasket but it’s funny how the first time they didn’t tell me that so cou or days ago I paid 240 for something and pick up my car so basically I feel like they just telling me shit so ima get my car towed from the shop tomorrow i don’t want touching my car I have a 2014 dodge avenger se

@@aaliahfuller1609 it could be a head gasket which I hope it isn’t or some leaking fluids that’s getting on parts of the exhaust system that when the car warms up it starts to burn off the fluids and starts to smoke. Its kinda hard to say really say.

Mine came with a lot of little grommets are they necessary I really don't want to drop one into the motor
Grommets aren’t that necessary just be extra careful not to drop or get anything inside of the engine. Good luck!

How much for this job if mechanic buys the part for $25
A shop will probably charge $200 for labor.

Is the smoke coming from underneath the hood or from the back out of the tailpipe?

Not 100% sure when I open the hood the grey smoke was mostly coming from the hood
