      Yes, this is a pretty cool method. However, there may be problems. I described the principle of action in the description under the video. Sometimes you may need to do a Reset XForm for 3D objects. And it is important that the objects are at 0 on the Z axis, and not lower.

    Doesn't work for me, click "Choose Patch" -> it says Patch Deformed Massage "Illegal Patch"

      Here is an important point. The 3D object that you want to overlay another 3D object on must have a modifier Turn To Patch.
      3Ds Max has some bugs. Sometimes you need to do an Reset XForm. To reset the object settings.
