Back out in the shed. Love it! Sounds like an excellent Whisky to be on the lookout for. Looking forward to any of the live streams as it has been too long a time. Cheers all!🥃🥃
Thanks for reviewing Alan. Great to see a peated in the shed 😊 And the fact that it's bourbon matured is even better... so... added to the bucket list. Slàinte mhath
Alan, sounds great. I think about 70 to 80 here. Not a peat head so have passed but then took a dive in on the Longrow Red 15 Pinot Noir and LOVE it!! So well balanced.
I picked up one of these when I was visiting Cambeltown in April. Haven't opened it yet but this video has got me looking forward to getting the top off it .
Would love to see the number 10 on this bottle. Been through a couple of bottles. This one, Port Charlotte 10 and Ledaig 10 are probably my top 3 core range peat bottles. Unfortunately in today's market near me it costs the same as Springbank 10 and I would much rather spend $107 on the Springbank. Cheers Alan
I just want to say thanks for the review. I love this whiskey in all of its forms. I’ve had four different expressions and love them all. I’m sure I could pick a favorite, but it doesn’t really matter if you can’t really go back and buy all of them at any time, I’ve been fortunate that these are the easiest pickup of the Springbanks I just bought a bottle today my fifth but funny enough. It is the oldest bottling that I have. It’s from February 2023 where as last year I bought one I think it was May 2023. That is the oldest that I bought last year, but it is fantastic nonetheless.
I enjoy this one, but I have not had too many of them so I can't comment on how they have evolved. Your shed looks amazing! Wow so much amazing Scotch. I think you enjoy it more than I do, but it is a quality dram. Cheers!
Finding it difficult to warm to this particular expression. Maybe I got a mediocre batch, but I felt like the peat tones were almost artificially created and it definitely wasn't well balanced. Much better on the nose than the palate. Probably a 78/100 for me. I think I'll try another later bottling and see if there's an improvement. Anyone else have the same experience?
Just seen this videa as I finish a dram of the same, following a Hazelburn. Neither as good as the original (for me), but both more available, and definitely worth having in the cupboard. 85+.
My pleasure - great to see you enjoying a dram whilst sitting out by the fire enjoying one myself. Wld love to see a vid comparing Campbeltown Loch to any/all of the constituent single malts.
longrow peated was widely available here in Spain before pandemic. Now like every other springbank except maybe the blended campbeltown loch it has vanished from every store. A real shame.
I got this from Steve's drams at lochlomand shores for £50 . Didn't find it perfectly peated was really good stuff though a bit age 5 to 10 years would really improve it .
no fella finding it easier to do from the shed, i found this to be a fantastic bottle Neil definately one of the best peated whiskies this year for me....
Back out in the shed. Love it!

Shed looking mega co-ordinated 👏👏👏. This is such a touchstone whisky, really glad you’ve showcased it .
Cheers Tim. This one was a big surprise fella...not sure why voming from Campbeltown and Springbank.. thanks for dropping by Tim...

This is the whisky I’ve drank the most of in my lifetime. Probably 15-17 bottles. Peated and creamy with a nice touch of fruit.

Good review Alan. A malt from Springbank distillery that I can actually get and at around €60 a decent price. Slàinte Alan
Beautiful dram at a great price, what’s not to like.
Agreed Donald, thanks for dropping by fella
100% this one is the easiest to find here in the US despite the hype surrounding Springbank. Great review! Cheers.
Hard for me to find but I enjoy this Longrow! I pay a lot more than you in Canada! What else is new?!! Cheers!!

And I only have to pay $100 Canadian here in Calgary mostly today I paid $108 well worth it I think
