      Thanks a lot for sharing! ❤️ knowing that its useful in a way for someone means a lot - not even mention that my editing is noticed, haha! Usually people do not care much I guess:)

    General questions about fullys, as you brought out it was a game changer for you. I have never ridden a fully, but have always thinking about buying one. At the moment have kept clear from it because of the added complicity of service and more moving parts since most of the time I am not servicing the bike myself. So based on that is the added comfort so huge that it out weighs the added complexity and cost compared to hardtail (since it is subjective question, I know it is going to be subjective answer :) )?
    In general it is a wider topic, because in ideal world I could then have at least 2 bikes: MNT bike for endurance and miles munching on the roads and fullsus for cross-country fun, but currently I only have hardtail for both with different set of tires :D

    • @tom10crafted
      @tom10crafted  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There can be many degrees from which to look at HT vs FS. As I have both (hardtail is Scale 925 2020, custom, ~10.3kg), it is worth mentioning that the only time I ride it after buying fully is when fully is on the bike stand, haha! (not too much into gravel-type marathons myself, excluding TRM :D). Yes, it might be slightly slower sometimes, in general, but other than that - the comfort is nothing to compare. Technically, I have hardtail only as a spare if "something unexpected happens" :) Worth mentioning that I own road bike as well for recovery rides occasionally.
      Now with all that said, with FS your body takes less beating, and it is a fact. Next day feeling after racing on HT full throttle in rough conditions is nothing to compare to FS too :)
      In regards to additional costs involved about servicing - that is true, but to the degree of 200eur/season at the most I would say (well, if nothing terminal happens). The cost described would be for servicing shock & replacing the suspension bearings (might not be necessarily needed though).
      Am I biased? Potentially a bit, but I see a whole lot more pros than cons!

    If the lower pivot tube is loose it means the bearing are not properly seated (or it mis-machined). If you tighten the pivot that way it will destroy the bearing.
    Regarding the brake mount, it's bad but Scott says in the manual to use spherical washer, for this specific reason.

    • @tom10crafted
      @tom10crafted  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Didn’t knew about the spherical washer, thanks for sharing! 🤙🏼 Yet, the thing of removing the caliper to change pads is still annoying imo 😅

    Can you help me where can I get a RockShox NUDE 5 RL3 Trunnion rear shock,
    SCOTT custom w. travel / geo adj.,
    3 modes: Lockout-Traction Control-Descend,
    Debon Air / Reb. Adj. / Travel 120-80-Lockout / T165X45mm
    I've looked everywhere but can't find it. Did you describe in the video that it can be bought? Can you advise me where? Thank you.

      Hey, thanks! I don't know exactly where Rockshox's Nude could be found, but with rear shocks for new Sparks its seems to be problematic topic.
      Regardless, the best place to look for them is in local distributor of Scott. In Baltics area I found it here, and I can see RS available too:

    There are 2 kind of service for a shock : the full service should be done by a pro and is expensive and should be. But it's not bad to open it, check it's properly lubed, change lubing oil if necessary. Because it's enclosed i guess this quick service is not as important as on other bike.

    • @tom10crafted

      Hey! What type of issues you do face with it? Is it because tension doesn’t hold and the lever returns to fully open/does not lockout?

    • @TIM64ET
      @TIM64ET ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tom10crafted yes, exactly

    • @tom10crafted
      @tom10crafted  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@TIM64ET Few things to check initially:
      1. Make sure the bottom bolt of the twinlock is fully tight. Ideally, apply some thread lock in the bolt too - as it tends to shake-off in the meantime( its at the bottom, at the back of dropper’s lever)
      2. Not necessarily, but make sure that your barel adjusters for suspension are not too tight. Force-enabling lockouts if they are too tight can cause the drop-off of the lever too.

    Top 5 paleces where to do full suspension servise(Lthuainia afcourse :)),if u cant’t do it by yourself?

    • @tom10crafted
      @tom10crafted  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Top 5 might be a bit huge requirements, as there are more likely 5 places at all who could offer that, haha!
      For forks - lower leg service can be done in pretty much any bike maintenance shops and even at home. Uppers - probably not all would do it, but to name a few: Šokas, S-Sportas, Traška Braška, heard something about Velloccino too.
      With rear shocks its a different story, as a full service, for Fox, requires special tools. Authorised Fox service is Velomanija in Kaunas. Probably its the best to get in touch with your local bike shop and ask whether they do it, and if not, who they work with/can recommend:)

    How do you setup suspension? (sag and rebound)

    • @tom10crafted
      @tom10crafted  หลายเดือนก่อน

      First things first - general suggestions based on weight. Then, two major things with one extra perk:
      1) Having location where you can test suspension based on the feeling is crucial. Making minor adjustments to one or the other range(rebound) will give you a clue whats going on. In short - find bumpy descend as well as some flow section with higher speed. Pull the rubber olive ring on the stancions down to inspect travel range and adjust air pressure accordingly.
      2) With suspension setup for race you need "middle ground" for everything, unless race is very specific. If it is flow and not rough, slow down rebound by two clicks. If its rough and bumpy - make it faster by 2 clicks from your casual preference.
      EXTRA: Use Shockwiz to figure out the differences and tweak based on the data.

    • @tom10crafted

      @@vanjasomodi I am 82 kg without gear.
      Fork ~70PSI with two one click to slow from the middle
      Shock ~175PSI with one click to fast from the middle
      It depends on the racing location, if its more technical I speed it up a bit and reduce the air by a fraction, too

    Sveikas, kokia tavo nuomone apie padangu ploti. 2.25 ar 2.35 jeigu kalbam apie XC varžybas ir hardtaila?

    • @tom10crafted
      @tom10crafted  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Labas, paprastai sakyčiau taip apie platesnes padangas: daugiau sukibimo, šiek tiek daugiau komforto, prastesnis riedėjimas ir svoris. Viskas labai priklauso ir nuo kitų faktorių kaip trasos konfigūracija, danga trasoje, oro sąlygos, padangų slėgis.
      Taip pat ne visi XC hardtailai turi pakankamai "pločio" rėme, kad saugiai sutalpintų >2.3 padangas - gali liestis į rėmą deformacijų metu, tuo reikėtų pasidomėti.

      The only differences by them, as far as I know is KHS - which stands as Kashima coating.
