I have always found these videos incredibly relaxing and therapeutic when I'm feeling stressed or low. And as an added benefit I've subliminally learned how to maintain my bike from watching dozens being built from scratch. The other day I replaced the entire drivetrain from BB to cassette and loved every minute. So thank you Gee - it might seem like an odd comment but you've really helped me. Here's to finding peace in unexpected places 🤘
WOW! I watched all of your XC dream builds and thought I learned enough to start my dream build with [almost] the same components (level ult, SID SL ult, XX1 axs), albeit on the cheaper/older HT frame (cdale'12 flash hi-mod), simple Ritchey WCS carbon cockpit, and inexpensive (but still light - 1290g) DCB wheels on DT240 hubs. On the video it looks so fast and simple, but it took me four days to finish my build, as I faced problems everywhere: - Tires: Furious Fred refused to seat on i25 rims without a booster pump - BB30: gaps on both sides, impossible to press further - compensated 1.5mm with the smaller spacer - Crankset: Achieved a very delicate balance between chainline, preload and 36/38t chainstayclearance - Fork: Stripped bolt on the TwistLoc grip - used good ol' pushlock instead - Brakes: So spongy after cutting and bleedeing - required caliper bleeding edge hack for better pressurization - Chain: Sram recommended measuement was too long - hadto cut one more section - Rotors: I gave up centering 6-bolt... my next hubs will be centerlock After overcoming all these challenges, I ended up with extremely fast and light (8.35kg with pedals) dream bike ready for the steepest climbs! Many thanks for such inspiring and motivating videos! Keep up the good work!
Glad the series has inspired you Michael! Sounds like you've got a brilliant bike which is super capable. I'm not surprised you struggled with tyres, maybe you need to try another brand.. haha
@@GeeMilner Yeah, even Schwalbe NA representatives admitted its 'slower rolling, had less grip, less durability, and terrible tubeless compatibility (it always leaked sealant) compared to the Thunderburt' :) Maybe one day I'll give Maxxis Aspen a try... Here's my bike btw: photos.app.goo.gl/Xz337YGFEdDxiSQTA
I was watching and when he got to the wheels "Damn, those spokes are huge. Wait.. those aren't spokes, they are part of the wheel.. Oooooh I bet those are expensive....". And I looked them up. Yeah, more expensive than my bike and it's upgrades combined. I don't care if it's out of my price range, this video is pure therapy.
@@GeeMilner I'm still watching the build and I didnt know that they made a rear shock with controls like that. I have a new life goal. To own a dream bike build like this one day.
Wish I could have that bike someday. It was fun watching assembling MTB. 😊 Happy New Year y'all!!! 💖 edit: background sound is so good to hear. It relaxes me
Quite specific tyres choice. Pirelli. When you have Maxxis logo on your chainstay. And by the way what do you think about these Syncross monocoque spoke-hub-wheels?
Because Pirelli make some amazing XC racing tyres. I haven't had a chance to ride them yet but they're potentially the most advanced MTB wheelset I've ever seen..
The wheels are rad! :D but cable management could be a little better up front. For working with scotts and their locking mechanism, sleeving cables together up front make for a lot cleaner front end (may I suggest electronic cable management, which we used in a shop here in Canada). Keep up the soothing videos!
que super maquina.... aqui en colombia una bicicleta así si es un verdadero sueño inalcanzable para casi todos los que practicamos mtb. pero es un verdadero amor admirala así sea en un video como este.
Granted I’m pretty new to the world of mountain biking, and I love it, but I’ve never seen suspension like that with cables running from the bars to the shocks. What kind of suspension is that?
How are you setting tubeless tires up with a floor pump? Or are you cutting out the compressor footage? I try with my floor pump before I use the compressor and I’m never successful lol

Thanks for your message Adam, really appreciate it and I'm glad you enjoy the Dream Build series!
Again the colours look kinda sick
Another beautiful bike for sure
Sure
beautiful as your mom
Maxxis sticker on the frame but Pirellis on the build 🤔
Hurts my soul.
One of the best bike builds and built by my favorite builder.
Glad you enjoyed it!

The most beautiful bike...ever built!

How satisfying it is to watch these videos. Hopefully soon I can buy a mountain bike. Very good work.🙌
I wanted to build up my new Spark RC900 today and now i have a terimal problem 👍
This is the closest I could get to my actual dream XC bike. This is an absolutely stunning video you made! Great job man!
Glad you liked it!
love the build, its crazy to me this bike comes with a aluminum steerer, I built the red one for a customer last year and I was amazed....
Another lustworthy bike and another beautiful video. Perfect.
Glad you enjoyed Paul
Give it up to this man for getting to build such beautiful machines!
Who puts dislikes at all? These are individual works as art.

Videos like these always inspires me to be a great Mechanic and makes dream build videos!
Has to be one of the most gorgeous bikes out there
¡Gracias Gee Milner! aprendo muchísimo con tus videos. Saludos desde la Patagonia Argentina. Gracias
Those handle bars are sick!!!!!
So cool aren't they
@@GeeMilner bruh. Those are some of the sickest bars ever.

That’s THE DREAM BIKE. LITERALLY
The Nino Schuter special, love it!
Worth the wait for it!
Wish I could have that bike someday. It was fun watching assembling MTB. 😊 Happy New Year y'all!!! 💖

Almost watching a year from Philippines your builds mtb is my favorite
Great work. I dont understand people who dislike the video
Their loss, glad you liked it!
Gorgeous color, hope one day I can afford to have a bike built on this channel!
I hope so too!
Wow! Absolutely love this bike color way! The fork looks amazing!
WOW!!!!!! I couldn't look away during the video to comment. I had to pause it 😂😂
That is one NEAT purple
A beast in MTB form!
Forget a Super car. I'd claim to have done well in my life if I ever am able to purchase a hardtail dream build.
Wow, that is actually a racer's dream build right there.
Hold up, if a comment gets at least one like, does Gee automatically heart it?
Depends if you make it worth my time
Gee Milner ok, hope this comment was :)
Que belleza de bicicleta. Sería un sueño hecho realidad tener una. Que profesionalismo para hacer el montaje, felicitaciones.

This is what you called dream build✔️
Got a friend who's the only one that has one in the Philippines. He got two, for his and his son. Just a damn good looking bike. Price also scary.

I’m in love on this bike!
Those wheels 🔥🔥🔥

Beautiful bike
Someone in somewhere is realy happy with this bike
Who the heck dislike Gee's masterpiece video!!???!!
So perfectly nice😭 i only can see it on the phone but its worth for me ! Yess
So amazing to watch
Granted I’m pretty new to the world of mountain biking, and I love it, but I’ve never seen suspension like that with cables running from the bars to the shocks. What kind of suspension is that?
It's to allow for the rider to lock the suspension out without their hands leaving the bars
@@GeeMilner That’s cool. Thank you!
Supersonic💜🖤
that deep purple is rock!!
That bike looks beautiful!!!! Dang. I also noticed that the seat stays said Maxxis on them but it uses Pirelli tires?
Because I prefer them
@@GeeMilner ohhh heck! I didn't even know it was your bike!
literally my dream bike...i am riding the World Cup version from 2018, but i always want a HMX-SL carbon fiber verison...150 grams lighter! sweet
Literally my dream build 💯💖
The amazing beautiful bike good colors 👌👌👌
I was at a race today and saw this bike. The owner is super fast.
Love the xc bikes.. Sick build and amazing vid
Glad you like them! Theres a couple of stunners to come..
That would be cool if all those bikes were yours😁 ... I am jealous just because of you are building all the beasts
How are you setting tubeless tires up with a floor pump? Or are you cutting out the compressor footage? I try with my floor pump before I use the compressor and I’m never successful lol
Some tyres aren't the best and need a compressor, others don't require it..
That build men!
With this bike value i could literally buy a lot here in the philippines
Masterpiece! 👌🏽
Your floorpump is awesome!
Which type and brand is it? How many strokes did you need to fill the TL- tire fully?
The wheelset is awesome. Remind me of crossmax.
Love from India
Damn what a beauty!
Made in heaven
Another nice build 👍🏻
stemless handlebar... NICE.....!!!

Don't forget about the grease on brake rotors, chain, saddle, tires and grips please! Sick bike anyways
is there any way to fit a bashguard to the newer Sparks to protect the frame from impacts?
Simplesmente the best 👏👏👏😍 😍😍😍😍
