Awesome idea Scott on doing the dual review, adds a different dynamic. As an adult I really like how X-plus does all the multiple pieces versus just 2. Probably not so fond of that if I was my young self though.
Nice kit review. I can't figure out the separation of the ears but I like how they split up some of the other stuff. Some of those choices seem to be keeping certain pieces separate to make painting easier.
Nice to see another upload from the *_"Demonic Duo"_* - not a kit I'm interested in - but you 2 are always entertaining. As you both say - challenging build! I was somewhat concerned at 1:41 - could this perhaps be the first *_adult-themed_* kit - from their subsidiary company - *_XXX-Plus_* ? Since you said it was mid-thigh, it was either referring to something else entirely, or it wasn't so little & we're back in *_"That's what Jason's Mom said"_* territory 😇
I got mine a few days ago, and I'm very impressed with this rendition of Dracula as portrayed by the incomparable Bela Lugosi. As such, the nameplate is more than appropriate. I'm planning to use the medallion option on mine to contrast this kit with the Moebius Models "Bela Lugosi as Broadway's Dracula" kit, which only gives the waist-chain option. Both will go well displayed with my Aurora (by way of Monogram) OG Dracula kit. As for potential aftermarket options, while a nameplate that only says "Dracula" or even "Count Dracula" would be nice; I'd be interested in an alternate head for the recent movie "Renfield" with Nicolas Cage in the title role. But what I'd really like to see (and wished that X-Plus had included in the kit) is a pair of 1/8th scale armadillos, as were infamously featured (for some inexplicable reason) in the 1931 movie. My only complaint is the sheer mass of the cape, which seems to weigh even more even than the display base. Now, if only X-Plus will follow-up with a "Sir Christopher Lee as Hammer Films' Dracula" in 1/8th scale . . . . Thanks for the unboxing! 55th Like.
@@modelclubtv Also, how about a 3D Printed aftermarket head of Carlos Villarías as "Conde Drácula," since the Spanish Language version of the 1931 movie with Bela Lugosi used the same sets and costumes? Ideally, the head should also include an appropriate nameplate, as well . . . .
Lets make another kit of of 92 yr old relic when nobody baby boomer was born.. Yes, the tv brainwashed a couple generations .. I'm willing to admit it. Most won't break there precious nostalgia bubble alot live in. This why this hobby is doomed .. stuck in holding pattern for over 30yrs.. The hobby will age out.. This proof it will.
I pre-ordered this kit, I thought it looked like an awesome and fun project.

I think the little circles on the inside of the cape are ejector pin marks.
Correct 😊👍🏻
That is exactly what they are.
There are pins inside the mold, that 'pop' the parts out of the mold when it opens.
Awesome kit you guys I have one on the way 👍😎
Another fine kit from X plus!! Tks guys!

You guys really think you're going to get around to building these?
@@imnotvintageimgrumpy586 I might, Scott made me chuckle inside when he said it would be challenging to build.

Hair line and the head both miss the mark for me...
There is a story there, I hope one day we can tell it. There were a lot of cooks in the kitchen.
@@modelclubtv No time like the present I always say. Besides - no one likes to be teased lol
You should open an Aurora Dracula and compare the plastic parts side by side.
