Bloody Axe This was in 2002. People were much more sensitive then because it was still only a year after 9/11. I would wager to guess nobody would show this movie because of what they feared people would say about.

You, sirs, Christopher Lee and Ian Mckellen and Richard Harris are always my most favourite elder characters.
Especially, I love Christopher Lee's VOICE. The most deep strong voice that Hollywood has ever had.

As a Finn I'm just so taken how he volunteered for Winter War back in 1939. Just a class act all around.

I just saw Jinnah, and it's everything Sir Christopher says it is. A very fine film, historically correct as far as I can tell, and featuring what must indeed be his best performance.

Thanks for the wonderful video ; Christofer Lee was one of the most versatile actors in world movie history and of course one of the most iconic horror characters; a true gentleman, a skilful RAF pilot, a deeply educated individual , a hypnotic speaker, a kind-hearted man, a devoted pacifist, a multi-lingual person, a compelling singer, a skilled fenceman, a loving husband and father ; my heart broke when he passed away ; somehow I believed he woul never die ; it may sound ridiculous but that's what I most honestly felt ; the world cinema industry without him will NEVER be the same again.

What a great human being. Other than being one of the best actors of his generation, a classically trained singer and ex-SAS ( That's elite British Special Forces Commando). Respect to you SIr..

I am of Pakistani origin in Britain. Highest respect to you Sir for your choice of favourite performance. But for me nothing in horror movie history surpasses the sheer terror generated by Mr Lee armed with little more than some make-up and raw Acting Talent, in Dracula Prince of Darkness. That one movie to me is living proof that brilliant movie making requires neither $100 million nor any computer effects - Just acting and directing genius. It scared the wits out of me like few others.

I agree. I have followed his career through much of his film-acting, going back as far as his appearance in Laurence Olivier's B&W Hamlet, to Dracula and the other Hammer horror films, to the Star Wars genre, to Lord of the Rings, and more recently to Jinnah.
I wish Lee could and would read all our posted compliments of him here. I am sure they will warm his heart a lot.

I can't say I agree with his views on Islam, but I do admire him as an actor, having met him back in the 70's, he was so nice to us teenagers who fawned over him and got his autograph.
    We were such big fans.
I even found where he lives in London on a trip there and stood on his doorstep, but I didn't ring the bell just looked at the name tag and stared in awe!
