This is the video that got me hooked on your channel! I've been sharing it with coffee-drinker-hiker-friends! Sometimes just knowing you CAN make that cuppa (Coffee/Tea/Chocolate) is a mental game-changer. Although, I have to say that powderd milk (3-in-1) or not is not really a replacement for the real thing. My Car kit (I have long stretches on winter roads) and your instructions and this particular set up are a comfort on those drives. Thermos is a fine thing, but that little sense of security of having a back-up that is not electricity based. Car battery and all.... Sorry, just rambling, but hoping to help the algorithm a bit, too.... happy brewing!
Have a ramble. That's what the comment section is for! I'm glad that my stuff has been of interest and thanks for passing it on. The 3 in 1 coffee's are not to everyone's taste but those tea bags you can fill yourself with whatever you like make a resonance brew without all the nonsense of a pour over such as a V60. For a day hike I like to travel light with minimal bulk, hence the small alcohol stoves rather than a jet boil. The other nice thing about alcohol is that it can be extinguished with water so is reasonable safe. Happy hiking and if you do put together a little kit like this come back and let us know how you got on.
It was the cap of the travel deodorant or shaving cream bottle I made the burner out of. I made graduations on it with a tippex pen that I had but a scratch shows up quite well

Nice to know I'm not the only one that does this.
We are legion
Yes indeed, glad to find people who also like tinkering with homemade cooksets for not so much survival but enjoyment.
@rubenskiii
Glad you liked it. Tinkering is relaxing. 😎
I dint click about the measuring cap which you showed in your first video, i like that way better than a syringe. excellent.
