Really sad that nowadays, a feature that SO MANY auto manufacturers offer for free, is locked behind a pay-wall, making customers ruin the aesthetics and functionality of the air-vents with supports for phones, cords and 12V chargers all over the place.
VW could offer this for customers as a free upgrade, bringing the fanbase closer to the brand.
That would be a great marketing campaign, and it would make the brand jump in front of others...
Sadly, we have to pay to get it, and it's a really steep price for what it offers....

Here in Switzerland, it's "only" 235 francs. I mean, my media console (discover media) works pretty well, and some features like calls and music are available through Bluetooth. Using the internet connectivity of my phone, I can even hear radio from all over the world. The GPS maps are the reason why I would prefer using Google maps... it's not very accurate in giving indications, and I can't get it to work like finding a point of interest. Instead, I have to give of the full address. Cheers
