Hold on everyone! What did you THINK he was going to do in a video where the title LITERALLY says that it is about tools that don't work in the way that many people assume them to?? OF COURSE he is going to bring up alternative options!! How can you be so goddamned STUPID to call this clickbait when the video literally covers the exact topic that the title suggests??
Sorry, I just get so worked up by idiots who love to yell and holler about bullshit, only to recruit more innocent bystanders into idiots.

Crazy how many people say they don't use extractors... how? We litteraly wouldn't make money without it. Every car that comes through us is needing carpet extraction. Weather it's just 1 area that needs it we will clean all your carpets.
You say "it doesn't give the results people are looking for" it sounds like you need to research extractor specs more. Mytee lite is exactly what it says, it's a lite extractor. We use two extractor woth over 200inches of water lift and cfm. It will blast any stain out of any seat and will bring up any dirt trapped way down in. People don't get the results they expect because they expect a every stain to come out. With the right degreasser and prep you can get virtually all stains out of seats. But it's not so much what you see that your cleaning. Your cleaning the carpet. Taken that hidden dirt out. The mytee lite is made for "detailing" in the sense of having somthing for mobile. Get a actual portable with truck mount power. And you'll see just how kuch stuff you can get out of a "clean" carpet or seat. But the looks of what your doing isn't even dirty. So I don't see you actually needing anything. Most are maintaining people's rides. We're cleaning them. Lol

My advice is to find a used extractor for cheap. Especially if you are handy with a wrench. I got a 3 gallon heated spotter for $100. Replaced a $30 heater, cleaned connections and worked great. Spent another $80 on a 3 stage motor and now it's better than any $500 and costed me $220. Like he said, extractor is overrated and under used in reality my... unless you have a crazy $1000 extractor head that keeps thing drier.

The bissel spot clean pro is a beast of an extractor for around 150. My favorite one I've used and it gets 95% of the water back out. Usually air dry for 30 minutes to an hour and hit it with a vacuum again and it's good to go.

I don't detail for a living but have always enjoyed doing my own auto's as well as helping dear old ladie's autos..(Never ever help soccer moms, pure filth nasty vans!) Antyway, The ever popular Detail Geek whom I watch because he's hot as a fire cracker uses a $179 Bissell Little Green Pro cleaner! He has over a millions subs too..Does great work I guess but I was SHOCKED to see the extractor, if you can even call it that, was a Bissell! I myself used my Bissell Big Green Clean Machine with the hose but while it had great power, it was a heavy awkward pain to move around beside a car.. Extractor being the key word I imagine any suction machine like a wet dry vac could do ok..I mean we use drill brush to agitate the deep down dirt then just want to suction the dirty wetness out of the fabric right? What are other's thoughts on this??? Again I'm NOBODY! I do not claim to know squat just what works for me!

MF Towels can be difficult to work with as far as washing them. If you want the best life out of your MF towels and want to keep the fibers from forming together (ruining the towel's ability to collect dirt / liquid), I would suggest washing the towels in their own load in the washer with either a dedicated MF towel detergent or an UNCENTED detergent with no additives. Also wash them with cold or slightly warm water and use an extra rinse. When drying, use 2 cycles of low heat or allow them to air dry if you have the room to do so.

One of the first big purchases I made was an extractor and after almost 2 years I have found I hardly use it. Most commonly I vacuum, hit the spots and edges with my steamer and a MF towel, Tornador with carpet cleaner and then "extract" with the vacuum. Seems like more work but it actually goes just as fast and much better results.
