I'm so glad that you're able to make your own airbrush with them. And it's really awesome that yours will come with 3 needle and nozzle sizes. With the way Gaahleri's .5 pushes a bunch of paint, their .7 should easily handle any urethane paint.
Video idea: purposely make most common errors in technique to illustrate what it looks like when it happens, and how to rectify it. Like getting too close to the surface, pressure too low, too high, paint not thin enough, paint too thin, etc. These are the real problems I constantly deal with and never seem to completely eliminate.

These paints look very nice. I really like my SMS and Mr Color for spraying but lately I've also been trying some Model Air, Model Color and Lifecolor. The initial misting layer over primer, as you say, is the trick to get good results. Also, I can just wear a dust mask at the booth. Wearing the whole solvent filter respirator etc can be tiring after a while, especially in the hot weather. I cut little circular pads from those EVA non-slip stick-on feet and stick them to my Airbrush top button which makes it more comfortable to use when spraying for longer periods. Congratulations on the Airbrush. It looks very nice, versatile and comfortable to use. I do like the trigger type. 🦘🦘🦘
That 0.5 and 0.7 are gonna be able to push a lot of primer. Ordered the other Gaahleri airbrushes and they’ve worked great. Pondering on getting your specific airbrush too. Specifically for laying down primer.

I bought 6 different colors of the "new" Vallejo Air paints and i just airbrushed for my first time and im so amazed at how much nicer the paint job looks over spray can painting. Im so happy that its worked out so far. Im sure there will be issues here and there throughout my model "career" but right now i feel great. I also have more paints, a new airbrush and a new paint booth coming from my family for Christmas. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Really great full to show how to clean your airbrush, especially with the Gaahleri Airbrush. I'm gonna order the same type that you have. I never work with that type of airbrush pistol before but I really wanted to try. I have 3 cheap Fenga airbrushs pistol works fine and I got Iwatta HP CS great for the purchase works amazing, but still careful with cleaning. Thanks to you im gonna try this method. I watch almost any of your videos and you are really amazing its very interesting with your experiments and I learn a lot from it🙏
Thanks for the demo. I can see several colors I want to try. Two questions and a comment. Does your Swallowtail airbrush fit the Micro-Mark Vallejo Paint Feed Adapter, Item # 90833? It says it fits Grex Tritium Series Airbrushes, and other brands with M6 x .75 cup thread pattern. Question two - do those adapters fit the new Vallejo bottles. I guess the test is, do the new and old bottles use the same caps? My comment is, on the Vallejo website it says they don’t have metallic Game Air because the metallic Game Color are airbrush ready. Same for fluorescent. Thanks again for all the great content you give us, and the timing couldn’t be better, I was just about to buy a trigger airbrush. Waiting a couple weeks is no problem. Mike W
Great news on the new airbrush, I'm thinking of investing in a trigger type airbrush for the same reason, unfortunately my hands have suffered throughout the years of various manual labour,car body repairs and mechanics. Think I need a tanked compressor first 😂

These paints look really great Robert. Like you I prefer to use lacquers but these lay down really even. Especially like the yellow depth of colour which I usually have trouble with. From the video the paint looks pretty thick and seemed to atomise better with a few drops of thinner. The Gaahleri 68 AB is sensational, having bought one on your recommendation and it is now the most used AB I have. So impressed by your collaboration with Gaahleri for the AB I'm sure it will be a huge seller. Thanks for all you do for us. Cheers mate
Boy am I glad now that I didn't get the Gaahleri when Amazon had it on their flash sale. I'll definitely get this one though when it finally becomes available. I love my PS-290, but with the addition of a .28 and .7 nozzle ... the one may become my favorite. Thanks for the video.

so I have both my new as of yet unused iwata eclipse and my older pasche(sp) airbrush, and I want to run my primer through an airbrush I will be using either a vallejo grey primer or an A.Mig-2024 One shot grey primer and was wondering which airbrush I should use... I don't want to risk the eclipse needing cleaning to the extent of having to disassemble it...
I paint miniatures with model air and small parts of cars , I'm currently painting a catapillar engine yellow from a kenworth truck and was in two minds to brush or airbrush, I ended up using 2 thin coats by brush and thankfully it turned out ok

I have Badger battery operated paint mixer and Vallejo is the bottle that the mixer part is too large for. I am wondering if new bottle design has larger opening to put paint mixer in?

Back in April they reach out to me and asked if I would like to work with them. I actually had no idea they were working with Studio G, I just found out that a few weeks ago. I asked them why they didn't tell me and they gave me a reason last night. The red version is because he lives oser to the company. They actually invited me to the factory and I hope to do that but right now my wife's broken leg takes precedent. So I figure his fans will buy his and my fans will buy mine. I also commissioned them to make a fan cap for mine and they've started work on that already. Jason told them he knows me and is willing to work together going forward. It's all good my friend, as long as we airbrush together

Thanks for this! I paint table top gaming minis more often than I do model kits so all of my paints are acrylics since they're easier to thin when brushing because I prefer to use a wet pallet. I've been an unashamed Vallejo fanboy for years - most of my paints are Valljo Model Color with the odd Game Color bottle here and there. I've never tried the Air Color line, I just usually thin out the Model Colors when I do use an air brush because I don't want to have to buy two bottles of the same color (one for brush and one for air brush). Just curious, have you tried just using a regular brush with the Air Colors?

Cannot wait for your airbrush since you announced it earlier last week. Like that you use my local hobby shop… Burbank House of Hobbies. Where do you get the Ultimate Thinner? The staff at Burbank are not familiar with it.
I love using these paints. I bought a bunch and sitting on my shelves the colors are great even for airbrushing. I do like that handle design. I got a grip handle brush it's by Master but the handle feels like it's a kid's gun handle you know the kind you buy a 5-year-old to 10-year-old child's handgun. It's so small I like big and beefy cause I can hold onto it much better. Looking forward to when they come out. I also like the 3 needles cause I can do different stuff with them and I'm into so many different things right now it's hard to keep up with everything also I got to keep that tips about the Red and Yellow paint. I like to save videos I like to remember where I hear something from to keep going over in my head when I am doing something so I save to a TH-cam file under Models. I might break it down even further when I got time to so I separate stuff I need to buy and stuff for info and whatnot.
You know after seeing this video and posting my comment last night, today on my feed for videos to check out I see that they have another spray gun from Gaaleri X but with StudioG that someone got in hand to make a review on. So does the company make certain deals with TH-camrs to get their fans to buy their guns to support their TH-camrs? Just odd to run across it right after seeing yours. The colors in the handles are different but what if there are 5 other guys does each get their own color handles. I hope they make plenty with your name on it that is all I can say lol.
Hey Robert;I think you should try airbrushing a 1/24 or a 1/25 car or truck body using the House Of Kolor,or the Lime Line custom automotive polyurethane laquer paint system to see what the results would look like.
At what temperature, is it too cold to be using an airbrush? I live in in area, where the outside ambient temperature can get 2 to 0°, but where I actually set up my paint booth, I can keep it about 50°. Is that too cold to be doing air brushing?

Been using mostly Vallejo, they’ve been working great once you learn the pros and cons. I would have liked if they decided to switch to a gel medium instead of a liquid medium to have a longer drying time and maybe the same consistency for all colors.
@@danzo5521 Yes there are, I think Scale 75 uses medium and others, u can use flow improver, retarder or glaze medium to reduce drying time with Vallejo but acrylics will always dry super fast.
@@gidden2000 Never had an issue with Vallejo, been using them for years, i do use Vallejo Mecha Varnish to protect the paint but's it good without it too.

I like the fact that you go thru all the steps for applying these paint colors. Now, suppose that you need a gloss finish on these base colors? I've got a few cars will need a shiny result. Thanks.
All Vallejo paints have a flat finish. You will nned to put a Gloss Clear on top of them

I've found Flow improver works better with Vallejo than thinners

any differences between your AB and the StudioG ab? Have the 98 for a month now, nice brush, especially since i got it for like 60ish bux. Really right up there wiht my current collection of ab.
I believe the airbrushes are the same. I had no idea they were working with Studio G when I asked them if they're interested in designing an airbrush under my name. That was back in April.

Yes it's similar. I've been working with them since April on it. I believe Studio G will represent the Malaysia market and me the US

Back in April they reach out to me and asked if I would like to work with them. I actually had no idea they were working with Studio G, I just found out that a few weeks ago. I asked them why they didn't tell me and they gave me a reason last night. The red version is because he lives oser to the company. They actually invited me to the factory and I hope to do that but right now my wife's broken leg takes precedent. So I figure his fans will buy his and my fans will buy mine. I also commissioned them to make a fan cap for mine and they've started work on that already. Jason told them he knows me and is willing to work together going forward. It's all good my friend, as long as we airbrush together

What gloss clear would you recomend?
Any clear will work. Vallejo actually has a nice spray can clear but any will work. 2K Clears are the most durable

I paint table top gaming minis more often than I do model kits so all of my paints are acrylics since they're easier to thin when brushing because I prefer to use a wet pallet.
I've been an unashamed Vallejo fanboy for years - most of my paints are Valljo Model Color with the odd Game Color bottle here and there.
I've never tried the Air Color line, I just usually thin out the Model Colors when I do use an air brush because I don't want to have to buy two bottles of the same color (one for brush and one for air brush).
Just curious, have you tried just using a regular brush with the Air Colors?

I love using these paints. I bought a bunch and sitting on my shelves the colors are great even for airbrushing. I do like that handle design. I got a grip handle brush it's by Master but the handle feels like it's a kid's gun handle you know the kind you buy a 5-year-old to 10-year-old child's handgun. It's so small I like big and beefy cause I can hold onto it much better. Looking forward to when they come out. I also like the 3 needles cause I can do different stuff with them and I'm into so many different things right now it's hard to keep up with everything also I got to keep that tips about the Red and Yellow paint. I like to save videos I like to remember where I hear something from to keep going over in my head when I am doing something so I save to a TH-cam file under Models. I might break it down even further when I got time to so I separate stuff I need to buy and stuff for info and whatnot.
You know after seeing this video and posting my comment last night, today on my feed for videos to check out I see that they have another spray gun from Gaaleri X but with StudioG that someone got in hand to make a review on. So does the company make certain deals with TH-camrs to get their fans to buy their guns to support their TH-camrs? Just odd to run across it right after seeing yours. The colors in the handles are different but what if there are 5 other guys does each get their own color handles. I hope they make plenty with your name on it that is all I can say lol.
How much is hot this water 50, 60 celsius ? And this din't damage the seals?
Hey Robert;I think you should try airbrushing a 1/24 or a 1/25 car or truck body using the House Of Kolor,or the Lime Line custom automotive polyurethane laquer paint system to see what the results would look like.

At what temperature, is it too cold to be using an airbrush? I live in in area, where the outside ambient temperature can get 2
to 0°, but where I actually set up my paint booth, I can keep it about 50°. Is that too cold to be doing air brushing?
50 is pushing it. I wouldn't spray under 50

Been using mostly Vallejo, they’ve been working great once you learn the pros and cons. I would have liked if they decided to switch to a gel medium instead of a liquid medium to have a longer drying time and maybe the same consistency for all colors.
are there any hobby paints that use a gel medium?

@@danzo5521 Yes there are, I think Scale 75 uses medium and others, u can use flow improver, retarder or glaze medium to reduce drying time with Vallejo but acrylics will always dry super fast.
Their paints rub off on me all the time.
@@gidden2000 Never had an issue with Vallejo, been using them for years, i do use Vallejo Mecha Varnish to protect the paint but's it good without it too.
