Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a team-based fighting game developed by Team Ninja of Koei Tecmo and published by Square Enix and Taito. The game is the third game released in the Dissidia Final Fantasy series, the first to be team-based, and the first not released for PlayStation Portable.
The game is a three-versus-three based fighting game, in which battles take place in three dimensional stages based on locations from the Final Fantasy series. Players select characters from one of four different classes (Vanguard, Marksman, Assassin or Specialist) and pit them against the other team.
Set long after the events of the previous two Dissidia titles, but before the arcade version, the dimension of World B is revitalized for a conflict between Materia, the Goddess of Protection, and Spiritus, the God of Destruction, who respectively summon the Warriors of Cosmos and Chaos as their champions. Unlike their previous involvement, the summoned warriors retain their memories and are joined by new warriors.

I know almost nothing about Noctis but I love how casual he is both dressed and his speech. The way he and Vaan talk are so incredibly different from basically everyone else.
And more impressive is that in his game he is a prince and later a king but he is always casual and prefers to be called Noct instead of Highness or Majesty. I just love him 😄😄
It’s like FF12 and 15 are in a different universe from the other heroes isn’t it. The more realistic ‘present day’ it’s certainly unique. 🙂

Remember that plotpoint in Final Fantasy I on NES where after being killed and sent back to the past Garland participated in dozens of time-space-crossdimensional cycles involving fighting his killer at the moment of his birth, fighting him latter many times over and over and then meeting him again after their original first fight but before their fight in the past from his point of view, while his killer has already had that past fight? And he also somehow broke the cycle without really becoming Chaos, but their fight in the past still happens, so maybe he didn't?
Boy, I miss these simple times when a plot was easy to follow...

Noctis,Cloud and lightning always my favourite.they are so cool basic from their fashion clothes and their fighting moves.
for me, the best scenes were Ultimecia vs Shantotto rap battle, Kuja finally being a good guy, and Shantotto scenes in general.
HackerHaunter Is it odd that I find it peculiar that Kuja is a "All women are Queens" type of person? I figured with his particulaly high opinion of himself, he'd berate Terra's offer and Zindane's comments, calling them "children" before giving in. Instead not only does he easily accept, but he in a performance manner, bows and says "Of course Your Majesty".
Ultimately, you have to remember that Kuja's main characteristic is charm. He had enough of it to string Queen Brahne along in FF9. And while he has a very high opinion of himself, he also holds performances and some semblance of decorum high in priority.

Squall got shafted in this game. First they nerfed him, then his cut scenes were minimal at best, and he basically gets saved by Cloud at the end from a falling chunk of boulder. This is the guy who can turn his gunblade in to an energy pillar, open up the sky and bring it down while moving clouds apart with his "Blasting Zone" limit break. And don't even get me started on Lionheart.
In the eyes of Square Enix and many fans, VII will always be better than VIII in terms of sales and impact on the whole gaming community, so naturally VII's main character will always be the strongest and save the day. Just look at Advent Children - they even created a movie for VII, so clearly VII is positioned above all other FFs.
I do totally agree with you. Even in Kingdom Hearts he is presented as a strong fighter. I laughed out loud the monologue of him at the beginning was quite funny. I like Squall a lot.
DVSNN GNG Squall wasn't that nerfed in gameplay tho. Still is pretty boss. But I agree I disliked the lack of story for him. Gameplay wise still one of the top fighters.
This is also the same guy that has to learn how to accept help and not be a loner in every appearance. Squall's character is kinda one note.
I'm not the biggest Squall fan, but I didn't want to see him get shat on either.

Square should make a movie about Dissidia. Bring all the main Final Fantasy characters from each game/movie like they did in Dissidia and just make a series out of it even if it's short. I'd love to see that! All the characters just meeting each other in one world and seeing how they react to one another is actually cool and interesting. Villains included.

Yoshitaka Amano character designs are in a class of their own and a cut above the rest. I seriously think his designs here outclassed pretty much every other Final Fantasy character design here. They looked special and unique.
Really wished Square did a new entry with Yoshitaka Amano or art similar to his. Hell, I wish ANY game company utilized his style of design for any game.
More than 20 years. I played FF II on cartridge of Nintendo. Fell in love at Amano's art at first sight. To see Firion and Emperor Palamecia fighting in 3D makes me so so happy.

I actually love Noctis. The environment of XV and the modernism was really unique. Sadly the story was meh but Noctis was def a huge positive from the game. Every final fantasy game the Mc talks in some fantasy way and it’s literally a fantasy world while Noctis was just a chill dude and despite being royalty still wanted to be referred to as Noct. Again really loved his character and design

Funny how you mention Clive because while being a believable character within his setting he has the style of typical Shakespearean fantasy characters 1:1.
One of the few good things of this game is seeing those two brothers interacting with each other in a kinder way.

the lack of CoD and Golbez + Lightning and Squall may be because of the prescence of those new characters in it.

Heck easiest would have been to say that Cosmos and Chaos are simply back as Shinryu brought them back (being pretty much the god of gods and all that)

Concordia = Harmony in Latin
Exitium = Destruction in Latin

I know this is old, but after playing Opera Omnia and getting to know the gods more, their names make sense.
Materia is the goddess in charge of the physical aspect of the world (or should I say, its materials), while Spiritus in the god in charge of, well, the spirit.
Also that's why they clash. Materia not having anything to do with the spirit, which also means comprehending human emotions, sees Spiritus as a threat because she cannot understand his motives. Whereas Spiritus understands that he has to do whatever it takes to protect their world and he doesn't pay attention to who he's summoning as long as they are powerful and can fight off Shinryus (that's why in Opera Omnia even the good/neutral guys are being summoned by him).
I like noctis here being a normie
Well not normal per say, but he's more modernized. He doesn't wax philosophy or speak like he's in some Shakespearean Play. He's just a modernized chill guy there to help and go home.

It’s so great to see the main heroes and villains all together from all the main Final Fantasy games in one game on one quest to save all existence, other than just seeing Final Fantasy VII characters all the time.
I literally got goosebumps seeing Terra enter her Esper form, along with Zidane and Kuja going Trance to take on Sephiroth and Emperor.

From what I gather, Materia and Spiritus are newly created existences. I feel like Materia is acting like how she perceives a goddess, ruler, or a person in a position of authority should act (entitled and self-righteous). This allows for opportunities for growth and development in a sequel, but we almost never get what we want anyways so maybe not.

I'm sorry, I know that this game divided a lot of opinions, but I have to say when I saw all my favorite childhood characters all in one game, my little fangirl heart exploded!!
This why I love this game so much, I know it was a let down for many after 012 but man am I enjoying this game, it is more competitive and the fights against the Eidolons are amazing

@@randalthor6872 well think about it this way, NT is seen as a disappointment because it is nothing like 012, I'd play NT first for a while and then 012 this way you dont feel disappointed at NT lol but overall I like both, 012 is just a single player game, NT made the change to make it multiplayer balancing everything out to make it fair, also taking away many elements that made the first games amazing.

@@randalthor6872 NT has a story mode as well but it works differently, you have to unlock cutscenes with tokens you earn playing either solo against the computer or online, just by playing any mode you unlock stuff. The story mode is mostly cutscenes but there are also fights you have to beat in order to advance in the story. But yeah 012's story is way more solid and you have an open map to go anywhere you want. Overall NT is just a gorgeous game that could have been better, the characters look great and the graphics in general, I love Final Fantasy so I had no problem with this game at all
