Radahn is surely a surprising choice, but: - Godwyn's soul is dead, it's one of the main theme of the game, it couldn't be brought back to life; - Malenia's 3 bloom is the second phase of the bossfight, we already saw it. - the Gloam Eyed Queen would be beautiful, but is the usual Miyazaki lore-wise character who is heavily referred in the description and dialogues but never been showed (the pygmy in Dark Souls 1, the Church of Londor in Dark Souls 3, Tomoe in Sekiro etc), that damned director is a sadic recidivist. Obiectively speaking, the only real alternatives to Radahn would be Miquella alone (but it would be strange due to the building of the character and the progression of the DLC) or something completely different (another cliché of Fromsoft's game, and THANKS they didn't repeat themselves this time).

Am I the only one who cant accept that miquella is like that? i have read so many lore videos that paints him as a good guy it was basically engraved in my brain
If I recall correctly, there's even an item in the game that temporarily brainwashes your enemies to fight along side you and it required Miquella's Lilly to craft it. The signs were already there from the beginning
Well, he was a guy who wanted the best for the world but in the process of ascending to Godhood he had to abandon his love/Saint Trina which led to him essentialy developing into a "I'm going to make everyone happy my way" type of ruler, he would have created a world 100% under his absolute control.
The thing is I don’t think he is a bad guy, the thing is that his powers allow him to manipulate people. It’s certainly possible that he is some evil person in a disguise BUT I think that he truly thinks this is the right thing to do. He doesn’t understand he’s doing the same thing his Mother did, and would become a slave to the order he creates. St. Trina is his other half and begs us to kill him, to set him free of godly fate. It sounds like at least from her perspective, him throwing away everything that makes him him, is essentially makes whatever god he becomes, not the one that people think. It does sound like he just was going about this the wrong way. But being very determined and utilizing his abilities for what he thought was right. Like with him and Radahn being essentially a thing, I think that was probably legit, because it wasn’t there was other he could have very easily gotten it to be. It could have also been a part of him manipulating Radahn but I think they made their promise, and then Miquella put his plan into motion. We’ll have to see, but that’s how I’ve interpreted it. He is an Empyrean, it’s not like he’s not capeable of being strong or having a goal you know
I like Radahn, but the dialogue and everything, doesn’t it sound like it’s supposed to be Godwyn standing there? Like even the Golden Epitaph quote sounds like this when he’s speaking of Godwyn. And I haven’t seen anything on him.
You can do it, Elden Ring is just a matter of adapting and doing trial and error to boss. The execution only matter for like 40%? Souls game with the exception of Sekiro is always a knowledge check game.

Not gonna lie, the Radahn boss fight felt very similar to dark souls 3 Lothric and Lorien. I think it would’ve been cooler if they had Godwyn the golden reincarnated to act as his consort.
Could've charmed his mother to break the ring charmed ranni to do the ritual and execute godwyn. The 4 arms of miquella 😮 ranni doll has 4 arms as well hmmm
Radahn was a well respected general whose soldiers were loyal and he taught himself gravity magic to save his horse and hold back the stars. He beat malenia and she had to use her scarlet rot to nuke him into insanity. Now he’s basically a zombie in Mohgs body to be a consort with his gay brother. DLC lore was pretty lame.
Miquela has always wanted Radhan, and he used everything he could to get it, each of them were just pawns in a game of chess, he sacrificed everything... But in the end he managed to catch the king... Or better said, the general
I actually believe that Miquella's consort was Godwyn, The reason being was that Miquella said 'my lord brother' a quote sourced from the golden epitaph. Moreover, I believe it was Mogh's essence/body being used but also Radahn's flesh/body and finally the returned soul of Godwyn. An amalgamation and unison of everything in the lands between, the omen (crucible), the house of caria (moon/cosmos), and finally the golden order itself through Godwyn. I believe that Miquella's plan needed Godwyn and Radahn because Radahn's body would have been able to perfectly house the soul of Godwyn. Mogh's body or essence could have been an added bonus as Miquella desired to create a world where everyone and everything would have a peaceful existence. I think Miquella wanted to save as much as they could as in a way they saved a piece of each of their brothers. I believe Malenia and Radahn were destined to fight but I believe it wasn't Miquella's intention for Radahn to become a shell or scarlet rotten crazed beast. I noticed Miquella wanted to desperately return the soul of Godwyn and 'Lord brother' is a term miquella used in significance to Godwyn rather than just Radahn. I noticed in the two phases that there was blood flame used (Mogh), gravity (Radahn), and in the second phase Miquella's light, but if you look very closely there is a lightning element in it too (Godwyn). This is just my take though, lmk what you think. Or it could be that Godwyn's soul was needed to restore radahn and maybe Godwyn loved miquella whereas Radahn didn't. Food for thought
I believe that it was Godwyn who was Miquella’s first choice to be his consort. But in the night of the black knives, that changed/ triggered everything. Idk this is the craziest plot twist.

This game is fun to explore, but I gotta say the story leaves me wanting. I’ve made it to the Radahn fight and can’t even get a quarter of his health down so I gave up and am watching videos. Knowing that the little memory node thing is the last story scene is very disappointing. Why did Miquella discard his flesh? Why did he discard his female half, Trina? Why did he go to the land of Shadows? What exactly was his Great Rune (it clearly has the power to brainwash people, but is that it?) what was the deal with him (or Marika) reaching into the vag in the preview? I’m sure I could go on and on with questions I don’t feel like were answered! and most of those questions were created by the DLC 😩
Spoilers ahead!!!!!!!!!!!: So let me get this straight (from what I’ve been reading so far) Miquella and Radahn agreed to be god and consort prior to the ring shattering. Miquella chose Radahn to be his consort due to him being one of the strongest and kindest Demi gods (but he has a thirst for battle). He’s goal was to make a gentler world with Radahn as his consort > After the ring shattered everything went south. Radahn found out about Miquellas plan of using his manipulation power and since he didn’t agree with his plan he backed out last second > Miquella manipulated Mohg to bring him to Mohgwyn palace while he’s in his cocoon form to continue his plan. Miquella chose Mohg since he’s one of the two Omen demigods who have connection to the outer gods and the shadow world and can be used as a vessel for Radahns soul. > Radahn didn’t know about Miquella manipulating Mohg but knew that in order to stop his plans he had to hold back the stars in order to stop fate. Thus why he used his mastery of gravity to hold both the stars and Astel. > Miquella sent Malenia to fight Radahn since he backed out last second but still made the promise. and that’s why during the story trailer, when Malenia is about to unleash the Scarlett bloom on Radahn, she whispers “Miquella awaits thee, O promised consort” to Radahn. (Queue the whole thing with Ranni killing Godwyn and certain death yadayada) Even while in a rotting state Radahn is still able to hold back the stars stopping Miquella from advancing with his plans. It is only until we kill him that Miquellas plan starts its motion again since Radahn soul is now free. Once we kill Mohg, Miquellas plan is almost complete since Mohgs body is now used as completed vessel for Radahns soul. And once we enter the Land of Shadows we are introduced to people that Miquella manipulated (Leda and Hornsent and others). > We would’ve been completely tricked to join his plan if it wasn’t for certain clues in the Land of Shadows and with the help of St Trinas secret dialogue in the game. I still don’t get if we managed to kill Miquella and stop his plan since in the credits he says that he’s going to become a god. So either we didn’t succeed or he was going to be a god regardless. Either way
the Circlet of Light drop says in the item description that "This circle was to be the very foundation upon which Miquella's ager of compassion would be built, should it have ever come to pass." Wich means that Miquella was not able to achieve his goal of becoming a God. I think the cutscene part where Miquella talks about becoming a god was just a "memory".

@@hijikili2656 why GRRM, it is mainly Miyazaki you should be pointing fingers at.
Radahn is surely a surprising choice, but:
- Godwyn's soul is dead, it's one of the main theme of the game, it couldn't be brought back to life;
- Malenia's 3 bloom is the second phase of the bossfight, we already saw it.
Welcome to all Fromsoft dlcs. They never complete or add to stories, they just make more confusing ones.
Radahn: "I'm into mature women"
Miquella: *TACTICAL ROT INCOMING*
Rykar: " I WISH HE WAS WITH ME !!! "

Facts
It feels amazing since Radahn is the 🐐
Am I the only one who cant accept that miquella is like that? i have read so many lore videos that paints him as a good guy it was basically engraved in my brain
That's the point, he charmed people. It was actually foreshadowed with an item before this DLC where it mentioned him bewitching people
If I recall correctly, there's even an item in the game that temporarily brainwashes your enemies to fight along side you and it required Miquella's Lilly to craft it. The signs were already there from the beginning
St. Trina was his 'good' counterpart but left it behind
I'm 99% sure they are saving Godwyn for a future "Elden ring 2" or something.

Tarnished: "Wait, I killed you before"
Radahn: "Nah, I've come to bargain"
Radahn was a well respected general whose soldiers were loyal and he taught himself gravity magic to save his horse and hold back the stars. He beat malenia and she had to use her scarlet rot to nuke him into insanity.
Now he’s basically a zombie in Mohgs body to be a consort with his gay brother. DLC lore was pretty lame.
Radahn is even cooler and better now
I feel even more sorry for malenia, left by her brother so he can marry his brother radahn
Justice for Malenia
Justice for Mohg
Justice for Radahn
All used as pawns
Miquela has always wanted Radhan, and he used everything he could to get it, each of them were just pawns in a game of chess, he sacrificed everything... But in the end he managed to catch the king... Or better said, the general
She was in on the plan, she was trying to destroy Radahn so his soul can enter the Land of Shadow.
Damn Second phase Messmer goes full on Sage Mode Orochimaru
Tarnished: "wait..i thought you were dead"
Radahn: "my death was greatly exaggerated"
Let me explain something to you, and said in the item description that since childhood the focus has always been Radhan, Miquela liked her brother Godwyn. But he always had Radhan as his focus

No Bayle the dread ;-;
Spoilers ahead!!!!!!!!!!!:
So let me get this straight (from what I’ve been reading so far)
Miquella and Radahn agreed to be god and consort prior to the ring shattering. Miquella chose Radahn to be his consort due to him being one of the strongest and kindest Demi gods (but he has a thirst for battle). He’s goal was to make a gentler world with Radahn as his consort >
After the ring shattered everything went south. Radahn found out about Miquellas plan of using his manipulation power and since he didn’t agree with his plan he backed out last second >
Miquella manipulated Mohg to bring him to Mohgwyn palace while he’s in his cocoon form to continue his plan. >
(Queue the whole thing with Ranni killing Godwyn and certain death yadayada)
Even while in a rotting state Radahn is still able to hold back the stars stopping Miquella from advancing with his plans.
