Nothing wrong w/ Cars! Thanks, I was confused about the blue wire. The eBay instructions didn't have an exact name for the wire I needed to splice. I'm using a 4000-NEX...
to people suggesting to ground the green parking brake wire from the radio that only works on older decks.. the new decks have a 2 stage detection method.. so its like (apply p brake, release, apply) or grounding, ungrounding then grounding again.. thats what the bypass simulates.
Also, did you completely cut the wire in half then add the microbypass in or did you simply strip the wires and add the bypass (Without doing any cutting) thanks?
Cant you just wire the light green into the black ground cable? How would it know the ground isnt coming from the parking brake. Im installing one at the moment. Any help id appreciate.
Hey men this micro bypass works in all pioneer avh? I have a pioneer AVH-285BT. And if work for my avh i only put the wire color on the same wire color of the plug?
I know this is an old video BUT, I purchased a DMH-160BT (2023). I have tried the typical parking brake bypass. I wired it in as the package showed, DID NOT WORK. Then I saw another video showing the bypass wire needed a off/on/off switch to pulse the bypass!! NO JOY, STILL DIDN'T WORK!! Saw a different video saying this model DMH-160BT requires a pulse from the remote wire and bypass. I just wired that in and still no joy!!
@AO-nd9mr Yes! In my 07 1500 5.7 there are small storage holes on each side of the AC control panel. I took the light green wire from the bypass and installed a on/off switch in-line. When I want to watch a video, I install the thumbdrive, the radio recognizes the USB and the warning prompt comes up. I just flip switch off then back on and the video will start. I still have problems with the unit recognizing certain format videos. The ones that will play are Copied with MP3.
@@MegaChuck51 thats awesome, I will try that!! Have you had a battery drainage or any other problem if the switch is left on?? That's another concern of mine.
can you bypass park wire on a factory radio? i have a 2009 with factory indash dvd but only plays dvds while parked, i want to bypass to play while driving, please help
Im sure there is and would probably be just as easy the app radio since it more then likely only has the 1 stage security feature... so grounding the park break wire should work. you will have to google what wire that is on your your deck.
I don't know what the intended way is. I cant imagine there being an "intended" way other then cracking the OS on the deck itself. or else there would be some leak on TH-cam, telling us how to do it which I can promise!!! wouldn't be easier. hence you have the bypass. it was so easy to do a retarded chimp with no arms and 1 leg could do it. this deck does have the 2 stage security feature requiring you to manually engage, disengage then engage the park break again. a simple grounding won't do both stages. the bypass to my understanding, crosses signal, power and ground. simulating the the 2 step security feature. all I can say is it work and still works. if it looks to difficult for you then nothing can be said for you. good luck ;).

How do you feel about this appradio now? I Fricken hate it to pieces. Android capabilities made this thing dumber than a basic radio. Rooting your phone, buying expensive apps, purchasing a $50 mirror link cable. Anyways, how do you like it besides the blue tooth?
its freaking awesome. all that's needed is a basic HDMI to HML adapter. can get one for way less than 50$, the whole reason for its existence is to operate from yor phone. if ya don't , than all it is , is a basic DVD radio CD player. that's why its called the """"APP Radio"""" since I know how to properly operate it...... I think its pretty bad ass. and yes, the blue tooth its pretty sweet too ;)
Thank you sir for making this video. I just bought my pioneer app sph-da210 and am looking forward to do this. Very helpful.
Need more ppl like you in the world...Thanks!
Thanks dude, best video I could find on this. Gonna go to Radio Shack to get those connectors.
Thank God you pulled your deck out of your dash.. that would have been awkward to watch.
Thanks for the helpful video bub!
This was the BEST video to show how to do this. Can I use some regular butt connectors to connect the wires instead of the radioshack kit?
this really is the best video thank you so much i can't wait to hook mine up
Dude you fuckin rock for this vid, appreciate you doing this.

Do you what colored wires to connect when you turn on your truck and the stereo turns on with it
I didn't splice the wired, the radio sack connectors only cut through the jacket an touch the inner wire.

***** yeah I realized last week I just wired the toggle ground to a switch. Problem solved;) thanks though dude

Did you get it FIXED???? same problem here

@AO-nd9mr NO. the light green is just a ground wire for the bypass. There is no power at all through it's just a grounding flash to the bypass.

Funny how there's never a video on how to do this the intended way.

All you have to do is ground the parking brake wire that comes from the radio don't waist money on that part from eBay
