@@ReallyLoaded I really like the realism of the VR experience. I feel like the skill of checking blind spots/mirrors, and searching for apexes transfers to the real world. I’ve noticed that if you use 120hz and have good fps it helps a lot with motion sickness, too. You would think it’d be enabled by default with the quest link.
If you have it set as oculus in CM, opening steamvr is pointless and a program not needed to be running. Oculus app runs it. Openxr is what is used for steamvr. Not sure why he is saying to have two different OS running to launch it… Feel like that’ll hurt FPS from background programs running when not needed.
It doesn’t matter what racing Sim it is anytime I use the oculus software with oculus link when I get into the car, my steering wheel and pedals won’t work 80% of the time. I have to keep restarting the app till it will acknowledge them. If I go through virtual desktop, it will work every time, but the latency is too bad. Is there a solution for this? Please, if somebody can help me with this if there’s something I’m missing, it would be appreciated. Like I said it works some of the time but only after several attempts.

My steering/pedals/handbrake all work when im not in VR. I followed your instructions to get into the game in VR, however in VR my steering/pedals/handbrake arent working anymore. Do you know how to fix this?
If you have the normal steam vr non modded one if you go into setting then controls on the top right it says xbox 360 controller keyboard or racing wheel click on the racing wheel option it will be highlighted red when selected then click back and it should save
Can i just say if you have like tons of mods and content manager like over 500gb of mods try not to launch assetto through steam the original launcher it will struggle like hell with hundreds of gb,

Could be a graphics card issue , vr needs a strong graphics card . I had a graphics card that said vr ready premium and it still didn’t work until I upgraded

@@ReallyLoaded rtx 4060. Brand new. Beamng played at 100fps in VR. The day that it worked. The next day i couldn't get it or Assetto Corsa to work. I understand Beamng VR is experimental but Assetto Corsa isn't so I don't understand why I got Beamng to work once but I couldn't get Assetto Corsa to work at all. Also, the day that it did work, it could not have been easier. Read a guide how to do it, worked first try. Worked several times after that. Until I turned my pc off for the night

Great video! I just have one question: do you include your desk and monitor in the ‘safe zone’ of the Oculus when you boot it up? Cause if you move out of the boundaries the view from the ocolus changes color and see-throughy
At that time I had a Radeon RX 6600 XT with a ryzen 5, I couldn’t use it for online , only offline . But now I have a 4090 with ryzen 9 and it runs like melted butter ( it would lag real bag online ) even though the graphic card said VR Premium Ready- with the Radeon RX 6600 XT
you need a gaming pc, steam with AC, and a sim racing set but that's it. If you don't have a sim racing set I you could use your keyboard or controller.
