Some parts where he was riding I was talking but it was too loud to hear....I was just commenting on the brake light staying on past tip in or using all of the track coming out of the corner...more just talking to myself. www.motojitsu.com/courses to sign up!!!
Using cameras to be better at "sports" in golf -n- baseball(pitchers/batting) has been used for decades so I happen to know this
IS how one gets better at anything along w/ surrounding yourself w/ smarter people on a given subject. I'm still looking to ride
again after many years away. Good video... peace
What feedback was the cat giving you?
You'll never understand just how good these pros are and how little you know about riding until you do a 2-up with these guys. I went to ChampSchool and got to ride on the back with a pro and holy mother of god, you would never believe it's possible to ride the way they do. I'm 54 and I giggled the whole lap. Absolutely insane. Like most riders, I had no idea how the bikes were actually engineered to be ridden and have been doing it wrong this whole time. One of the best experiences of my life. I'm looking forward to going back. There is no ceiling to what you can learn on two wheels.
100% the 2-up ride is what really opened my eyes and change my whole perspective
@@MotoJitsuI’d be changing my underwear 😂
I went two up with Troy Corser on the Most circuit in Czech Republic last summer when I was at his "Racing School Europe" course. It's the best learning tool you can get. Feeling how absolutely smooth all of his inputs are while going so fast is insane. I instantly understood so many of the mistakes I had been making.
U can't compare track riding to street riding. If a pro racer tried to go all out on the public roads he'd die.
@@slimfit767 Cool story, but you're wrong...bike control to that level is beneficial at any speed. Do you think the pros couldn't put their knowledge and motor skills to use riding defensively on the street? 🤔
I love that motojitsu is getting racing, this is dope
❤️👍🏼
#1 asset to the rider community
❤️👍🏼
Could not agree more 💯
Best vid you made in a while...
Thanks Greg...humbling experience
And a learning experience as well
Thanks
@@MotoJitsuawesome video Greg ! 🙌🏼love that stuff… Marc Marquez would have gone up the inside of the two cones 💯 😂!! Seriously though awesome riding 👍🏾
@@Cartsp70😂
I like that mentality; be the sponge and absorb as much as you can.
yes!!!!
Thank you for the insight. I still have to keep practicing.
Even pro athletes get coaching. Yes we definitely need training and feedback
YES!
That’s great Greg nice job putting this together
Thanks
Some great accolades from Nick Ienatsch on your riding, Greg! 🙌🏻
Loved this video Greg !! Excellent
Glad you enjoyed it
I am attending the Yamaha R-World track experience next week at Cresson, just before MotoGP. This event will be run by the Champ School guys. Will be my first time going back to a track since attending Champ School. Going to be awesome! Hope it doesn't rain!
🤞🏼
Watched Kyle at Daytona this March amazing rider! Your videos are always great thank you so much for sharing them.
sure is!
More videos like this man. Kyle and EZ are money to watch and love the MotoJitsu commentary on top.
I’m going to watch and study them while riding the MT-10’s like no other because it’s the best example for me since we’re on the same bike
You are spot on w watching experts on the same bike you have. I have a BMW S1 so I always watch all the Maxwrist videos in hopes I can pick up on some stuff and learn something
MaxLoop is the wrong guy to try to emulate...but you've got a cool bike
😂
..."in hopes I can pick up on some stuff "..... pick up the pieces? 😂indeed! Let's all ride safe.
Max wrist is a sexual predator, and he can’t ride. He does wreck people really well, though.
ever watched Saiyan Army Motorsports channel?
I'd love to ride the corkscrew (crazy downhill). Also...Meow!

If you insist on keeping the stock exhaust/emissions system intact, I would DEFINITELY still send ecu in for a flash. 2WDW up in Washington state are masters at mt10 tuning, Nate and Nels have literally done hundreds of them. I kept my exhaust intact and did just flash and OMG, it turns it into a TOTALLY different bike! I eventually did a decat/exhaust but 95%of the power gains come from just the flash. Best $300 money can buy. Beware though, your bad gas mileage gets even worse😮😢😅. Great video, you're going pretty damn fast just keeping up with those guys.
I enjoyed the cat meowing during the vid. I guess we can say MotoGP and WSBK riders are pretty good as well!!! Does the bike make a difference? for the pros? Ducati vs KTM vs Aprili in MotoGP and BMW vs Ducati vs Yamaha in WSBK
Yes, MotoGP bikes are race built prototypes that cost millions of dollars...WSBK are based off street legal bikes.
great content thank you this video really show the true difficulty to be a real good rider . following behind a pro only goes so far practice with experienced riders A riders seems if your living at a track it only goes so far pure god given talent is th other factor some have it some dont experts can only go so far then there moto GP and superbike riders
👍🏼❤️
Yes I learned something, I learnt that I need to pay for that online Champu course soon ( the online one ) so that I can atleat know what am doing whenever I get on a bike.
as always, great recommendation !!! Experience, educating yourself and practicing instead of buying a bigger bike...
Exactly!
Wow! Enlightening. Limiting factor is always the rider. Got it!
always the rider...the bikes are extremely capable
Amazing!
Thanks you 🙏
Glad you like it!
Great video. We never realize there are LOTS of things to learn unless we are really dedicated to learn and master.
👍🏼👍🏼
What classes should I take prior to Champs school to get the most out if it? Casual rider with an FZ09, I don't push it too hard but would like to expand my skill so I can take advantage of the capability of the bike if a situation requires it.
Do a few track days first...that's the best thing you can do.
@@MotoJitsuThanks.
#goals Been doing the online course - would definitely take the courses next time Im in the US.
Cool vid.👍🤙
Thanks
Love to see a test ride from you on the XSR900. Compered to the MT10
Same engine as a MT-09 Right?
Yes, but still ride different somehow.
Some say the new MT 09 is the XSR900. 😬 That’s probably why Yamaha come up with the MT10
I have cats and the meowing in the video had me tripping haha
Took me a few minutes to figure out it's not my cats haha
Same! I was walking around looking for my cats.
I’m just going to speculate that a common denominator with these highly evolved riders is fearlessness. I’d like to, but I’m afraid of breaking the bike - and myself. Neither event would be an easy recovery for me.
Great video! 👍🏻
They’re racers…they’ve learned to manage the fear
Hey man so I bought an MT-10 after riding a ninja 500 for two years and then an SV650 for five. Didn’t go to a track ever, and although I had some spirited riding, I never had formal training. Do you think I can still improve on the Mt-10 similar to how fast I would on a smaller bike? The power is nuts
Do you think you can still improve? Obviously EVERYONE can improve...you're not a professional racer so there's a whole lot to learn. Take more courses, do track days and repeat.
@@MotoJitsu thanks, I moreso meant did I somewhat cripple myself buying such a big bike to learn more but I will start taking courses! If I want to do this hobby for a lifetime I should get as good as possible.

Wow!!! That's impressive!
👍🏼❤️
Ive been riding on that track 100k miles in grand turismo. Love it. Didnt know this was in souther ca
yuppers!
Laguna seca and the corkscrew are super famous. I, too, have been racing on it since I was ten or so, in video games. I wear the arai Corsair x in the hayden laguna livery, because of Nicky’s win in the same livery at lagun seca. I’d love to ride it irl some day.
@@thagingerninjer5391 unknown how much they charge to ride it.? Where I live we only have a little track. But guess it's better than nothing
@@orlanmedina3693 I have no idea what it costs to ride it, or if they do regular track days. I love in central arkansas, four hours away from four or five tracks.
yes this i would say every body needs to do corner ppractice on the track a small track is good to like one where you max 60mph on the strait like i did assen junior track and it makes you a much better rider only thing a lot of people do is think they are fast and go for the firt time and go in the fast groub no dont do that go first groub
As an A class off-road guy I can ride pretty good however there is always someone faster, sometimes by a LOT. I have the same exact MT10 as yours (color, year, everything) and its a blast to ride, hard to resist wheelies especially in 3rd gear, but maybe that's just me!
I'm about to get it flashed by BT-Moto too...153hp to the rear wheel coming!
Can you record what good waight shift form looks like.... I get the concept of moving your but before the turn to set up for the turn... but what are the best practices to make sure that its smooth? For example I can feel the difference between smooth and rough shift. What are the best practices to make sure that every shift is smooth?
listen again...it's move your butt before the brakes. do it by sliding across vs going up and over and down...more practice.
Go fast on a straight line slow down to safely make a turn then as you come out of a turn you gradually open up throttle. As you practice on track on your own youll fine tune your controls and understanding. Sure it helps to have someone with more experience giving you tips but a smart rider with good intuition will figure it out. 😅
quick question, which is easier to be faster on, same rider same track same situation.
Speedy
Streety
S1000R
SDR
MT10
Currently i have a MT09 RN29.
keep it up the good work ;)
greetings from germany
whatever the rider is most comfortable on probably
Very interesting video!
I think you are far better than the "normal" everyday-biker and it surprised me very much how good these pros are in comparison to you. I hope this doesn`t sound mean! 😉
They're so much better than everyone on track lol that's their job and profession. I only go to big tracks maybe 1-3 times a year nowadays.
Man, I was looking at your back video and I thought you were me, we seem to have very similar body positioning and posture. I’m on an MT10 also. 😅
the clip of me I was on a MT-07
Every ride I strive to be a student.....to be teachable.
These guys are insanely talented, skilled. 😃👍❤🏍🏁
Wait til you go!
@@MotoJitsu 😎👊
Can u show us some clip how should u ride with a smaller cc bike ? All these 1000cc style bit too much for beginners😅 all this V sharpe cornering tech would work for smaller cc bike?
no, it's the opposite... I explained it all already in this recent video th-cam.com/video/Oo2OFAipVew/w-d-xo.html
Greg you should read the book Bounce by Matt Syed.
Edit: I messed up the authors first name from memory. It's Matthew not Mark.
What is it?
Matt is a former Olympic table tennis player and journalist. He went through a bunch of data and research about high performing individuals to relate what makes people successful in a given task or sport. Let's just say he would agree with "Just shut up and practice". It's like $10 on Amazon.
I'm from Rochester NY too!
:)
2-upped with EZ at YCRS Homestead and it was frigging scary. He's fast and smooth....
Awesome!!!!
You did it this year?
@@ricardomorales1039yes! In January, and stayed the weekend for the N2 track event
@@N73RN yes, now it shows your name! good to be in contact with you! how did it go? i really missed that, but i needed to tour a bit with the wife before going back home

she's like me, me, meeeeee
on time with corner practice on the track a 20 year old girl riding a 125cc 4 stroke was out riding the boys on 1000cc sports bikes haha they had to be pulled from the broub and go one lower they started in the fastest and ended in the slowest i started in the slowest yes i could go faster but was learning techniek
What a cool video!
Thanks, share it!
Do we use both brakes for trail braking? Says so online ( new rider 24 honda grom) excuse me
Pace determines...at a fast pace...front...slower pace, probably don't have to trail brake at all
Mew…Great Video Mate ❤️
Thanks 😁
Specially to the people that say they need a 1000 after riding a season or 2 on a 600 you will never juice out the full potential on a 600 on the street let alone a 1000 shit even a 300 can dominate on the track us street riders are not even at 10% of that these guys can make the bike do
Yup
You should NOT be trying to max any bike out on the street 🤷♀️
@@PrestoninParadisus totally agree
Overcompensation
Nothing wrong with owning a 1000. It’s not “overcompensating “, some of us just love the machine
After doing Champ U last year, I'll be doing Champ Street in November. Can't wait!
have fun!
@@MotoJitsu Thank you Greg!
Tell all the guys, especially Nick I. I said hi and do as much cornering as you can between now and then
@@MotoJitsu yes, I mainly ride in the canyons in the Santa Monica mountains during the weekend so... plenty of corners. Trying to get better on every ride :). Will extend your greetings to them!
hell yeah!
Brilliant. Gotta admit, those cones would have definitely given me a heart attack if I weren't informed earlier. 😊
amazing!
very!
I got a free Champ School when I bought my FZ-10 new in 2019. Unfortunately I was never able to go. I regret it to this day.
Nothing stopping you now, go!
Except for one thing. I became a better rider after I STOPPED trying to watch what the faster rider in front of me was doing..when he was braking, accelerating, tipping in, etc. and began trusting MY tires and the bike. It was actually messing me up watching the rider in front of me and not riding my own pace. Once I trusted my tires and suspension, I became a crap ton faster..trail brakeing, everything. Trying to study the guy in front of you is good only if you are going slow, but when you wanna go fast..it'll cause you to eventually probably crash cuz you'll miss the turn or screw something up. Sometimes their brake light doesnt come until a certain amount of force is applied. Sometimes trailbraking with 5% braking power wont illuminate the brake light for the rider behind to see. THAT is why you need to pay attention and ride your own race. Foo. LOL.
Always learning, always practicing !
Always!
It's interesting seeing their body position on the MT10 where the head isn't too far over which I think is the difference in riding a naked because going too far forward and over kissing the mirrors can feel awkward depending on body size.
I'm going to mimic my riding of Eziah
Thank you for the ChampU discount
no problem
Amazing how stock naked on stock tires can be fast
ALL rider skill :)
I did a 2-up with eziah and my god… He was dragging knee at race pace with me on the back. Got off mind blown
Exactly!
Joe average- x y bike doesn’t have enough HP. But can’t fully utilise the power of any bike
😂
I feel most what they do can be figured out on your own as you practice riding on a track. Intuition and physics you figure how to do things. 😂
Super wonderful rider's 🎉❤💯👍👏I love it ❤️ Always be safe ⛑️ my friend 💖❤️ God bless you always 💖❤️❣️💓🙏🙏🙏
Thank you 👍
@@MotoJitsu your always welcome my friend 💕💯👍
They talk about tire grip in the ChampU course but seeing this guy in the corner at the 9:40 mark is incredible.
yes!!!
U have to be careful asking people on the street for advice while being a learning sponge as everyone rides differently and many will give you bad advice overconfidently. For example most bros on the street know what trail braking is but they dont understand the timing and the integration with other skills in combination.
Just to put it into perspective, the Moto gp riders all started when they are 4 years old so imagine you who's late in the game at 18 years old compare to them getting your liter bike and ripping the canyons without classes like champ school. You're just saying you're not human basically, we all need proper training if we're gonna do crazy shit.
I love how you Americans handle those huge powerful beasts like toys. I pray that before I die I get to ride a bike in the US
Im here with my 2 cats that are brothers, one is the big bro. Fat likes belly rub for HOURS and will lay by my head or on my arm like a baby. His lil bro is tye one who always wanna stay next to me either in sofa or by my feets in the bed. He can sleep with me for 16 hours if i am tired and stay in bed for that hours. I have NEVER play fight with them so neither of them during these 7 years have never scrathed me or bit me or tried to fight me. They just havent learned that. And i fan recommend that. I play with toys, not with my hands. They are THE best. The big brother I have actually run over once with my KTM 640 Enduro when i came up my driveway and wanted to make a small wheelie and just about when i had started lifting the front he came out from under a parked car and ran the 1 feet from the car and went under my bike and i watched the shadow come and immediately lifted the throttle and that gave some less weight on the rear and he went under the rear on the middle of him. He came after an hour and needed me to lift him up onto the sofa where we spent the next 2 days together and he was so so sore and the evening second day he started feeling better and third he could carefully jump by himself up on the sofa.,he is all fine. He is here now of course while im writing this because i have a tablet mounted from a stand and i have my hands free at all time cuttle with him. I have the video from surveillance but i kinda not feel like uploading that to TH-cam. But my bikes are here.
the best way to be better is drop the Ego... these pros from what it sounds like have 0 ego about their skills yeah they know they are good but anyone can always be better...

I need a lot more training and explanation to understand. I always thought if u have any sort of lean angle whatsoever. U cannot hit the throttle hard without the back end braking traction. But I see these guys leaned over, and u say watch him power out the corner while still semi leaning
Nice
Thanks
