- Please like and share my tournament practice! This time I head to Fort Loudoun and Tellico Lakes in Tennessee. The fish were small and the tournament weights were low with the fish being in a transitioning phase that was hard to figure out. I try a few finesse techniques and give you the experience of traveling a long ways to catch some little green fish against some very good anglers. I also give the end of the tournament report to help you understand the importance of making the right decisions in tournaments.

I would say around 4-5. You have your heavy action rod for flipping and frogs, your medium heavy rod for lighter texas rigs, weightless flukes and senko style baits, and spinnerbaits ext. Your medium action for cranking and and topwater and other treble hooks, then a medium or medium light action spinning rod for finesse baits. This will cover your basics for bass. You can have as many as 20-30 rods when you get really specific with techniques
Gig'em! Tournament are like a roller coaster, it's a series of highs and lows. Excitement, fun, anger, disgust, frustration, amazing, best day of your life, worst day of your life. That's how I would describe it.
HOW TO CATCH BASS IN DEEP WATER is an offshore vid a did a while back if you have not scene that one yet. I need to do another one, it's that time of year
Thanks for watching! I might hit up that tournament on the 27th myself. I have not been there in years but I hear the grass is coming back so the fishing should be alright
LakeForkGuy its 2018 and fall n winter fish have been better then the summer bite. Its so wierd.. So get ya a cold tournament lined up on loudon n holler when u need a co angler and we will go win..
cool vid, def like the tips for those tournament practice days. Ive always wrestled between wanting to find a pattern but not beating the fish up in the process.
Absolutely love the tournament videos! I hope you keep making them.
Great tip on finesse fishing the break-line. Thanks

It was back in May
LOVE these videos!!
For everyone wondering about the weird fish I caught in this video, it was a herring. A BIG herring that ate my wacky rig!
Great video man Thanks for sharing.
It was a big herring. It ate my wacky rig!
Love your vids, just purchased my first bass boat, going to start doing tournaments. cheers all the way from South Africa
great video, more like this please!
Tellico Fort Loudoun
It's a sneaky little rig for sure. I talk about it during the wrap up of the SPRING BASS FISHING FOR LARGEMOUTH AND SMALLMOUTH video I did on May 21st
It is actually the older BassKing pattern, they may have stopped carrying it. I like the white too.
Save me a few more fish for the next time I come up there! Maybe I will do better in the tournaments!
awesome vid man
This is where I'm from! I live in Knoxville and I love this lake!
I fill put that one into the jar of ideas. Thanks!
I love ur vids but since I live in Canada there isn't as much bass so the only thing I can do Is watch u!
I like these tournament vids.
Sold it. I will probably go through a lot of boats in my lifetime!
Cheers!
It was a herring
I am allowed to video and I did have the first hour covered with my gopro but the file came out corrupt. It is hard to do during the tournament when I have a co angler as well
awesome vid
That's my home lake lot of good fishing on both lakes
LakeForkGuy, you should do an onshore fishing video!
Youre a fast learner when it comes to fishing
This is my home lake I caught a 6.64 last Friday it's a tough lake there is a tournament every day btw LakeForkGuy love the videos man you should come back to this lake and make a video on how to pattern bass here it's super difficult to do here
im local also and the biggest sack i had in a tournament on tellico is 15.96 this lake is tough!!!
Thanks, I always wonderd what bass tournaments were like,
Oh wow this is my lake that i fish. I have fished off that boat ramp soooo many times.
I love these type of videos please keep doing them. and we are going down for a tournament on stillhouse have you fished it? if so any help is appreciated.
You do a great job video editing. What software do you use ?
Lol Justin nice gloves :p!!!
Awesome video! Did you go back to running the legend?
Where did you get that neck cover? I saw your recent video, but I like the pattern on that one the most. Thanks!
I have 2, a lot of times I just use 1 though.
You should do a video on rigging and fishing the mojo rig
Oh and quick Q/tip. When your pre- fishing tournaments have you considered taking your hooks out of your baits to reduce pressure on the fish?
I think you would like the Wooly Hog Tail bait from yum.
Did you go up toward Concord or Louisville on the Loudon side? Just wandering because I catch a lot of big fish around there. Post spawn all the way thru summer pitching docks is key then I transition to square bills on points mainly but also deeper crank baits in pockets
+RFSx COMANCHEE Agreed!!! especially in Georges creek!!! some biggins live in there! Justin if you ever come back to this area hit us up..
I'm a local as well. If you come back give a shout and we might be able to help you out. Florida bass are now being stocked in Loudon. Going to be some monsters in there soon.
Could you do a video on skipping with a baitcaster I really need to learn to get up under those docks
hey lake fork guy were did you get that wrist band i cant find it in any stores a little help would be nice
8:32 what a clean skip!!!!
So jelly ;p
With the gopro, how many batteries do you go through in a day of recording like that? lol
I caught fish on lake fork creacher today
are you not allowed to video during the tournament or was it too much of a hassle to do? would have liked to see a little tournament action.
White and yellow is good color spinning bait and red and black creak bait .
I was wondering how much weight did u have at the end?
I'm young, 15, and currently in highschool. I've been fishing pretty much my entire life, and fishing tournaments for a few years now with my father. I plan on going to a good college once i get out of highschool, and college fishing. Any advice?
was that a tarpon that u caught? or a big shad?
What type of camera setup are you using?
why did you end up practicing along the houses and boat dock? i would guess not many fish would be there.
What is the song at 7:54??
When was this tournament? Im a local guy there. lol
Hey what's your favorite lure

Ive got a 7.6 pounder on loudon so i can say its a good bite. But i also know were a few ponds are, one produced a 14.3 lb largemouth. So ifu want some state record fish lmk..
best bait to use in tellico/loudoun is a. white and chartreuse spinner
South East Bassing no it is not
What's the song at 7:55 ?
What boat is that?
Looks like the first fish had some sort of fungus. Probably from another anglers mishandling.
What species of fish is at 3:21
PAA tournament?
What happened to the FX?
What is he wearing around his neck?
Tarpon at 3:21???
Was that a Tarpon?
Spencer Yeager that would be a shad...
Hey um i need some help and i cant think of anyone better than you to help. im 15 years old and i have a co-angler that is also 15 and i want to start bass fishing in tournaments but i have no clue how to. i live in maryland but i dont have any luck looking online for information. can you help me! please respond.
join a jr club thats the best start and learn as much as you can look around to make sure there are jr clubs in ur area go to a local tackle store and ask they should help ya
Hey bud, I'm 15 also, last year I was in you're situation, I wanted to start bass fishing tournaments, but didn't know how. So I went online and searched up jr. bass clubs in my area(Missouri), I found a jr. B.A.S.S club, joined it, fished the 7 tournaments and the state championship, I must say, I was more than happy, it was easier competing with kids around the same age as myself, and it was a good time all around, I was able to get in contact with some pros, and also learned a lot!
no y would he do that,he wants to be able to tell how big the fish is plus what if its another fish thats not a bass hitting the lure!
shad
and also then you would be able to catch fish... without hooks u cant land a fish very well....
hey same kid who said "u inspire me" ummmm do you make some good money being a sponsored angler?….JW
You can, depending on how much you work for them. It's not easy though
Lol I bet
hey i am your 10000 sub do i win any thing
