I think your narrative and editing are very suitable for a Total War game (actually the best Total War: Three Kingdoms playthrough I've ever watched on TH-cam). Get on the good work!
oh you know... just the usual trm abusing game mechanics for the entertainment of us all :) profit. Edit: to be clear, I’m not trying to hate; I genuinely enjoy this type of video
@@jameskuukkeli not really the point of this type of video. It is entertaining because of the ludicrous amounts of power you can obtain on legendary difficulty. If he was playing to play I would agree with you.
Thanks for pulling up and zooming into details and the notes you put into the video. It helps the content a lot. And the commentary is smooth and doesn't feel forced either. GREAT CONTENT! Thanks again.
Dude of course I watched the whole video, you got that great smooth voice and succinct way of describing events! Super excited to see more of this series.
This is your best stuff, hands down. Such a refreshing take on Total War-videos. Please do more, the Total War community is awesome and will love more of this.
Ive never been able to watch full total war playthrough on youtube before but your editing style and narration are perfect for this game and make your videos really easy to watch. Hopefully you continue with them.
I genuinely enjoy this type of content, when you were playing league you were always interupted by bad team mates when playing so it was just you ranting, now I love you explaing these strategies and mechanics!
Really enjoying the series. Keep it up! Couple tips: If you make an attack order with an army on the overmap, then hit backspace (cancel move order) while inside their circle on the map (mouse over them to see it) they will be unable to move the next turn. If you're chasing down beaten armies or those in forced march, this forces them to fight you or just stand there for you to attack them next turn. If you have the Han Empire vassalized (as you do), you can annex their settlements, and immediately sell it back to them for profit. This can be repeated over and over in the same turn, allowing you to effectively drain the Han of all their money every single turn. I believe they start with 200k treasury as well, so this really synergizes with your setup, as you can claim Chang'an fast, then siphon off their money, giving you over a hundred thousand to start off with.
Trebs are a great investment, especially with "fire shot" it destroys the moral of the units crazy fast. While decimating a front line as they advance towards you
I just found your channel a few days ago since the Redditor Breaks total war video showed up in my recommended, need to say I love your vidoes. Watched all the pendor and kenshi too, keep it up.
I genuinely love this series. since the last episode i've been waiting for like 3 days constantly checking your channel. by far my favourite series on youtube rn. dont stop uploading pls
This series is soooo entertaining to watch, and I can only watch you play this game, I'm glued to my screen wanting more the entire time, keep the vids coming!!!!
When you went: "Hello is anyone still here, did anyone get to this point in the video" I went like, What? why, and then i noticed 32 minutes had somehow flown by without me noticing it xD. Thank you very much for these great Three Kingdoms videos! Please do keep it up :)
This series is awesome! I love the style of how you explain everything and edit it in the way to easily understand what you are talking about. Good work bro.
If you compare this play though to just about any other Three Kingdoms play though, This blows it out of the water. You are concise, well spoken, informative and you create a narrative compelling narrative. You have my respect, my like and my subscribe.
Man your strategic mind and gmae theory is amazing. really wanna play this game now and love the videos. All those factions against you and youre still routing . You have all my likes. i need more of this
dude I really like ur rapid fire style vids. so much better than sitting through all the loading screens and the 30mins wrap around the troops. also I like that u use save files so u can try things out and let's the audiances know what works even if it's higher risk thanks keep it up
As a league player playing three kingdoms on the side, the level of commentary and strategy discussion you have, and the editing you did, this video was unexpected, fun to watch, and made my day. Watched the whole thing. Props
Oh man I fricking love these videos! Keep em coming. Also I don't mind the League videos either, they got me into league again, after so many years of not caring, on a new account.
These videos are the best. You're using awesome tactics that are super entertaining to see in youtube format and it makes me want to play the game too. I want to see more!
dude. more please. I really like this video format. so much better than watching other play normally. you make your playthrough so much more interesting because you cut out all the repetitive and borign stuff. thanks!
Really enjoying the series dude, hope you do find the time to make another. You say that the videos go on too long, but its only 30mins and I want to see the next part already!
It's strange because despite loving Heir of Carthage and Legend of Total war I haven't really been feeling their videos on this game as much as I have their old ones, but watching these are so damn entertaining and hilarious I don't mind the length at all. Keep up the great work dude! But bring more Kenshi damnit!
same here. Probably i think because there are just too much min-max strategy for both of them. Making their campaign pretty much riskless. Especially Legend since he is pretty much a channel for TW cheese tutorials
Looting has always been a thing, for leaders it came down to how honorable the vanquisher was. If they wanted to be dink, they would keep it; whereas if they wanted to show respect and be honorable, they're return it with their corpse.
its going to be hard, but i think the way to go is to keep pressing on conquering all of Xiliang (the north west part) if you manage it it would be very easy to defend, and Xiliang have like 3 horse pasture that drastically reduce cavalry upkeep, so you can start pumping your retinue with cavalry that cost almost zero to mantain, and we all know that archer is OP, but cavalry eat archer for breakfast.
He doesn't have high tier cavalry right now, trebuchets and Lu Bu are his future. Yuan Shu's special unit is infantry. I would focus Wudu first, get the silk, and then see what can be done.
@@fanaticpharaoh6689 but if you want to maximize Lu Bu you should fill him with shock cavalry retinue, because he has skill that inc shock cavalry damage, and his faction wide buff as a heir is also shock cav damage .
Yes, thank you. I did come to the end of the video, and no, I don't mind it being dragged out at all. Nonetheless, I do indeed wish for you to make more videos on this campaign, as I really enjoyed watching it.
You just earned a sub. There aren't that many people who make good TW playthroughs, and it often gets boring with them just staring at something for like 4 minutes. You put a lot of effort into the editing, and it means that instead of (I'm guessing) 3+ hours of rather boring video, we get 30 minutes of action packed and informative video. I very rarely give videos likes, but I'll throw one your way.
This is the kind of lets play of a strategy game I like to watch. Mild commentary mainly explaining your actions and plans, and a good idea of which parts of the game play to keep in and which to leave out. Edit: and he does League content too. a dream come true
21:50 It makes sense to me, I understand it as the soldiers (either allied or enemy) will loot their body for the item and take the plunder for themselves or the soldiers fighting will trample over the general and artifact thus breaking it.
I honestly enjoy this series and love all the stuff you're doing and your informative commentary, even if I don't play this game, I honestly still find it interesting watching you play this game. Looking forward to more and excited to see the next video on this game :D (this series lead me to finding you btw, and I love all your stuff) EDIT: This is also the kind of series where I could watch an hour long video of it and I wouldn't even be tired!
ColdSansy Ss I was just thinking what if Lu Bui (idk if I spelled that right) married her? Idk if that’s possible but having them completely slaughter everyone together would be amazing!
you remind me of volound during his shogun 2 takeda playthrough where he just stakked moralle debuffs and just made entire armies shit their pants and run away
watching this video is weirdly relaxing, I don't understand what's going on in the game but, how you explain your moves and actions is interesting. yeah i watched the whole vid lmao
I did a similar thing in Total War Warhammer by stacking moral debuff passives that a lot of chaos lords/heroes can get by leveling. Went into battle with wood elves that started with around -15 morale.
It is apparently Lui Bei's horse you can sell it "back" to him for an outrageous amount. He will actually equip it. And the flavor text works as intended
SomethingI found about fire arrows and towers, you only have to get up to 50% fire damage. After that, you can break off the attack and it will build up 100% from that. Anything under 50, and it seems to roll down real slowly. Then of course it'll destroy the tower afterwards. most effective way I found to take care of those damn things back when they were monster killers and murdered your whole army
1:40 that's because like I told you in the last video every general got his own bonuses for their personal units (Sentinels - Purple General) gives extra bonus and some more skills and abilities to purple units. For example: Red General - Vanguard buff red cavalry
