    The "off-mic" sentance is : "Fluctuat nec mergitur" (motto of Paris city), that means, in latin : "It floats but does not sink".
    One more thing : NN Taleb is, according to me, a major thinker for our times.

    Excellent interview. The interviewer did a great job of not interrupting and letting him talk to complete his ideas. Also, great follow up questions.

    Yes. Life long learners, as Im retired, Id love an on line formal education. Now all I do is a foreign language. Some occupations need field work like an advanced degree in speech or physical therapy as examples

    Teresa has definitely not read his books. Taleb has numerous of times loudly critised experts and people in general for always wanting to simplify everything. That way essential information get easily get lost, and we're unable to fully comprehend the subject. Of course, she starts off by complimenting him on how he's so good at simplifying his ideas for us 😋

      Yes, but I think he would see it as a high compliment that his ideas are not so couched in jargon that they cannot be easily understood.

    I may differ somewhat with the bombastic (excentric) style of Mr. Taleb, but have nothing but respect for the Core ideas of his Black Swan Theory. The passage of time only proves you correct Nassim. Un saludo de London!

    The more I listen to Taleb, the more I'm able to find flaws in his arguments & examples. It usually works the other way around. Is Taleb losing his touch ?

      Similar, but i belive he is very bad at interviews, trying to explain all his idies in shortcuts which sounds chaotic with unnecessary descriptions.
