    The best backfield in college history; FB - Owen Schmitt, QB - Pat White, and HB - Steve Slaton. I miss the good ol days.

    I'm a big Runaway Beer Truck fan... but the beer in his truck apparently got the best of him when he was cited for drunken driving a month or so ago. He's a good guy and I'm sure he learned a valuable lesson.

    I like the Mountaineers but I'm a 49er fan in the NFL so Owen Schmitt now plays for the enemy. Him vs Patrick Willis will be fun to watch.

    We're really going to miss Owen in our offense people dont relize how vital his role was hell we recruited 2 FB's to try and find one...it's just he was a H-back/Fullback and given short yardage Runningback, hell at one point las in the season slaton went down he was our 2nd RB on the depth chart he steped in and ran for 112 yrds 2 td's the guy can play..and play hard and will do Whatever's asked of him and do it damn well

    also, look at Justin Fargas of the oakland raiders,
    he is a starter now and is of hispanic decent, I guess the Raiders ignored the "Only Black Running Back" policy of the NFL you suggest.
    he averaged 100 yards a game too,
    no one is saying whites aren't capable of being just as athletic and just as good at running the ball as blacks, its just the fact there aren't any around that are doing it better then the ones around now.
    it IS coinsidence, NOT racism.

  • @G3rnsback
    @G3rnsback 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    After losing Fraudriguez a few weeks before the game, they could have laid down and let Oklahoma hand them their ass and nobody would have blamed them. It still chokes me up that they manned up and steamrolled Oklahoma, when they had every reason to lay down and quit.

  • @Fnoel98356
    @Fnoel98356 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    Actually, Weaver left via free agency. Seattle didn't even talk to Weaver, which is 1 reason why he left. don't get me wrong, I think Owen Schmitt is the next big power runner for the Seahawks, and should get a lot of carries in this new offense Seattle has in place. Plus, I think he might be a better fit than Weaver. I'm torn because I like both of them.

  • @wbinwv
    @wbinwv 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    That would be so if OU had been the better team. However, OU was outclassed in EVERY facet that night so save it.

  • @ghostboi199

    @SPCtacular1 Barry will always be Number One. I don't think I'll ever be a fan of Detroit for what they did to him, even if it technically isn't their fault. Just imagine what he could have done with a good team.....it wouldn't even be a contest.

  • @lakrebravefan9
    @lakrebravefan9 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    we're not talking about best team. best backfield. yeah we had casey dick as a qb but we also had heisman hopeful mcfadden, (arguably should have won it over troy smith) and felix jones and peyton hillis, all three starting hb's in the nfl

  • @KGDABE
    @KGDABE 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    the only reason guys like crouch and vick looked good while running the ball was because defense were spread anyway,
    I know eric Crouch was an incredible athlete, and I still like to watch that 95 yard run he had in college that was just SICK. but fact of the matter is if he was really that good he would have been playing.
    and converted to fullbacks in college? MOST PLAYERS positions are converted in college, because most players that are good play running back in HIGH SCHOOL.

  • @jbanks0330
    @jbanks0330 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    nah all of yall are wrong, carnell "cadillac" williams and ronnie "hummer' brown, and kenny irons.... and then jason campbell at QB

  • @KGDABE
    @KGDABE 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    what your basicly saying is these guys that were good HIGH SCHOOL running backs but were converted to fullbacks in college deserve to play running back in the NFL because they were good at it in High School...
    yea, get it straight, a lot of players from safetys to corners to QB's to fullbacks, to D-lineman to line backers played runningback in highschool and were good, it doesn't take much for a talented guy to play RB in highschool.

  • @ripwalter34

  • @KGDABE
    @KGDABE 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    No, There aren't
    for one simple reason,
    The NFL is about MONEY, NFL teams get money by being GOOD, that means they need GOOD players.
    NFL Teams don't care if a running back is white, black, asian, hispanic, or marsian. because who ever pulls in the money or helps them win is going to get the job.
    if there were white men that could do it, they would be out there, because all NFL teams want to win, if they were out there, you couldn't name them could you?, want to know why? because they aren't

  • @cfgolfcf
    @cfgolfcf 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    WVU shoulda won the national title last year... or maybe Oregon if Dennis Dixon was healthy but OU gets buttfucked in every bcs bowl game so not a shocker that the supposed "best team" int he country (by kirk and lee corso, said that they would kill em pregame) got killed in this one...

    Brock Forsey? from Boise State? you seriously believe an undersized running back from the WAC Conference was a true NFL talent that could start over most black runningbacks in the NFL had he been given the chance?
    NEXT!
    Bradlee Van Pelt? a quarterback? he is able to beat most NFL RB's at their position, you honestly believe he could have started in the NFL at Running Back? wow, just wow
    NEXT!
    Luke Staley? from UTAH, the mountain west conference, whos ever even heard of that

  • @lakrebravefan9

  • @KGDABE
    @KGDABE 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dan Burks- university of alabama at birmingham, so he was an NFL talent? he could have started in the NFL? as weak as the division he was playing in? wow, great pick lets find another!
    Brandon hancock? the guy plays fullback!, there are plenty of white fullbacks in the NFL, what makes you think he is a capable HB? Lets find another!
    Jesse Lumsden? a guy that plays in the CFL, against weak players already? he is better then most black NFL RB's wow hilarious! hes one of the biggest on the field!
