I've heard instead of soaking your handle in water which only last a few days and will dry your handle out to soak it in antifreeze instead and it will last and not effect your handle. I've been looking for a good pickaroon, how's the forester holding up for you? would you recommend it ? Thanks.
Absolutely I would recommend it! I use my pics all the time and beat them up. It has been holding up just fine and the head hasn't moved. I will try the antifreeze next time I do have that problem, thank you

never ever put the handle in water. That will quickly ruin the head to handle connection 4ever.
put it in linseed oil instead.
