- 2012 Honda Odyssey 3.5 V6 and it needs the power steering pump replaced. This one was really bad as they were going through about a pint every other day. It calls for 1.5 hours of labor so plan for that if you decide to do it. You only need a few tools and this can be accomplished.

This really helped. And thank you for mentioning bleeding the fluid ahead of time... Been a while since doing things like this and I almost forgot... Saved me half a day of cleanup. One of the hardest parts was actually getting the pump out, but when I turned it 180 it helped.
Your welcome and I am glad the video helped. The pump is a little awkward at first.
I was planning on taking on this project this weekend. So thanks for putting this video up and running.
Your welcome and thank you for the view. If you have any questions while performing the procedure feel free to contact me.
I plan to do our pump next weekend, and this was helpful to prepare for it. Thanks for sharing the video. I'll have to take extra care to hold on to my10mm. 🙂
You are welcome anf yeah make sure not to drop it lol.
Thanks for this video! I bought a new one that had the pulley attached already. There is a piece held in w allen key nuts (x2) that sits just above the pump. If you remove this its super easy to get one in w the pulley attached. Hope this helps!
Great tip!
Thanks for posting this. Very helpful. The most important question, did you find your socket and where was it hiding?
Your welcome and they actually found it in their garage a few days later lol.
Thanks! Saved me a mint
You're welcome!
Great job on the video and the pump!
Thank you. I appreciate the view and glad you enjoyed it.
Should we drain out all of the power steering fluid prior to replacing the pump?
It will make it a little less messy if you did. You could use a syringe or a siphon pump.
If leaking, should i just replace the o-rings?
I would do the o-rings if it is not coming from the the front pump seal behind the pulley. They are cheap and easy to replace as well.
