This is a great tutorial. Suzanne is very good explaining what she is doing and why, not just how. This corkscrew design is really cool, too. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I'm very happy I found you while trolling TH-cam!
Excellent Tutorial resulting in a beautifully designed, heirloom quality bracelet . You have a gift for teaching and I am grateful to you for sharing it. I enjoy your straight forward, clear & concise, yet thorough instructions. This tutorial also taught me new information about cleaning and polishing when you want to oxidize your design. I was never sure about what to do first. I tend to have a difficult time getting through tutorials but you had me deeply engaged from start to finish here. Best of all, you've rekindled my desire to create. Thank you, thank you!
Onething I have to say. Woman tend to explain in more detail than men. Great job and I love the detailed explanation.
I appreciate that!
One of the more interesting tutorials ive watch, I can say i much rather hear the process explained like you do than listen to some strange music like in some videos ive seen. Ive made my jewelry since i was a teenager, wish we would of had videos to watch back then. lol!
So beautiful!!!! Thank you! You're a good teacher and your a fabulous artist!!!
Great tutorial! I liked how you kept instructions short and precise. A simple bracelet - with a complicated, fabulous look. Best wishes.
What a fabulous bracelet, wow! I love the high polish after oxidizing, very lovely. It brings out the red gold in copper + the contrasting texture with the oxidizing. This was so interesting to watch. You are a skilled craftsman, and it was a joy to see how you made this. I had a similar silver bracelet which I lost in a burglary, so now i can make it again myself.
Thank you for your time and generosity in sharing your work! ❣❣❣
Now that's sweet ... Love it , and thank you for your time ...
That looks amazing, Mrs. Robinson.
What a fabulous tutorial, so well explained throughout to process.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful skills.
It must be precious, really nice work

Glad you like it!
I very much enjoyed watching you make that gorgeous bracelet.
Beautiful! I really appreciate that you have suggestions for people who dont have the same tools. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
There is loads of video's on here about making copper bracelets but yours is by far the best , better finished and attention to detail like the end caps really nice well done 😁😁👍👍
Wow! What a nice looking bracelet. You did a nice job.
Thank you! Cheers!
These are the hands of a seasoned craft master. Great work!
Very nice job I like to learn how and start making them
That was a pleasure to watch, thank you.
Ty so much! Beautiful work, easy to understand instructions!!
Excellent tutorial, detailed and concise. Stunning bracelet. Thank you.
Nice!
A little tip for you..
If you just hold the ends of the coil and pull them apart they will separate equally..
You don't have to separate each bend and try to make them even.
It does spread the coils more evenly but you still have to get 2, or more of them to line up perfectly in order to join them. My bracelets come out 100% better using the jig.
incredible work darlin!!
Csudaszép! Gratulálok!
Beautiful as usual Suzanne!!
I really enjoyed your work. 👏
I am blown away!!!
Thats professional , you’ve done this before : ) Cheers , its a treat to watch and learn from a pro .
Absolutely stunning

Denis from Canada , its super , you inspire me to try to do one like this realy nice job and super explication thank you
Really great tutorial! Thanks for sharing!!!!
You are so welcome!
Great job...👍👍.... I use a copper wire for solder and it is all the same color so you don't have the silver color. It's just the way I do it.
I have begun using that for my copper wire soldering.
@@FlatwearableArtisanJewelry 👍👍

Many thanks
Well done ! congrets from the Goldsmith 😉😁
Where can I buy the tools to make the bracelet?
Great video, 😊
It’s beautiful
Thanks!
It's beautiful ❤️❤️😊👍😀😁🤗👍😀❤️❤️😊
Really nice video. How you protect the cooper from rusting or turnishing over the time?? Thx!!!
Copper isn't going to rust but if you want to prevent oxidation you can coat with a sealer like Protectaclear.
You can just stick the end of the wire in between the jaws of the chuck of your wire coiler. It wont come out. Then you can just pull the coil off the end of the mandrel. I do it with my drill. The only time it wont work is if the mandrel is so small the chuck jaws are too close together to fit the wire in.
Great tutorial!! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Like it very much, will try it
Enjoy
Excellent, thank you for sharing your know-how. Where do you get your flux and solder... And what is in Yer pickle pot?
All items are on our website. Check this list on this page. www.flatwearable.net/home/corkscrew-copper-wire-bracelet/
Just found your channel and really enjoyed watching you skillfully work through that piece. Love the cuff!
Beautiful, love it!
Thank you!
That is awesome!
It’s beautiful, do you do anything to keep the copper from turning your skin black, thanks
You can dip it in Protectaclear. I talk about it in this tutorial. th-cam.com/video/sNZIKFxrWOk/w-d-xo.html
I've tried that many times and was very disappointed. It makes the finish look cheap and wears off fast. Then the finish is uneven and all kinds of messed up. Ultimately the copper will still oxidize, staining your clothes, skin and everything else. I love copper but it just can't be worn for jewelry that is exposed to any kind of elements or wear and tear 😔
Sounds like you aren't preparing the metal properly or using the wrong type of sealer, or not applying the sealer as instructed. I've had no issues as you have described. People need to realize that you cannot wear jewelry while washing dishes, bathing, swimming, exercising, etc. Copper is a great metal for jewelry and an inexpensive way to learn.
i really enjoy watching your tutorials. your video captures great visibility, and your instructions of process on and off camera are perfect. thank you. i want to mention that i recently picked up a diamond honing block and its a great addition to my bench for filing flat sides. i would like to try making this piece
I have a honing block. I'll try it. Thanks
Este es un brazalete raro casi no se ve y esta hermoso, lo estuve buscando hace tiempo y no lo encontrava gracias.
Really interesting work I enjoyed watching it. I have a question or two you mentioned pickling several times and I seen you spraying something on the metal before you would solder it. What is the pickling solution and what are you spraying on the metal before you solder it if you don't mind my asking thank you for your time. I did enjoy watching how you made the bracelet and the final finish
Sparex is the product used to make the pickle. My-T-Flux is the spray that is used to clean the metal and allow the solder to flow. You can find a list of all of the tools and items on our website at www.flatwearable.net/home/corkscrew-copper-wire-bracelet/
Hi from Morocco,
I am 71 years old. I decide to learn how to make jewelleries made of silver. Do you think that it is easy to perfect this ?
Yes, absolutely
Hello Mr. Willy. I am 71 and a beginner also. I live in Oregon, US. My plan is to build skills using copper first and then graduate to silver. Good luck to you! All the Best, SD
Great video thumbs up
Thanks for the visit
Hi thanks for your time and knolegment....i made some wire jewlery from my self and famaly but always have trouble with de queen oxidation skin....uric acid .....what can i do to solve it?
Coat with a sealer like Protectaclear
@@FlatwearableArtisanJewelry thanks a lot for your attention an orientation, this cleaner are not available here in Brazil, can you, please, share the ingredients from the box (what are this coat cleaner made of), so i can understand what is use for the cooper protection?
Amazing!!!
Çok başarılı bir çalışma tebrikler .
Good job.Can you tell what diameter the wire is for the springs? And what is the diameter of the 3 guide rods?
16 gauge or 1.2mm
Thanks
Just found this video , can you tell me what size those wires are in mm please
Maybe it'd help if you'd support the end of your mandrel somehow. Having both ends supported will make the mandrel stable thus helping you with more even coil and easier winding process.
Beautiful piece !
Do you apply any coating to the piece after final finishing to prevent further patina/liver of sulfur wearing away as well as the the smell that can linger on it from the liver of sulfur bath ?
I discuss adding a seal coat to jewelry in this recent video. th-cam.com/video/sNZIKFxrWOk/w-d-xo.html
Ever do any two-tone, like silver wire with copper rods inside or vice-versa?
sure
What's the brick you use? I'm trying to find one to safely do my soldering and such.
Fire bricks from Amazon
Stumbled onto your videos and am very impressed with your work, explanation, and results. Can you explain what the "pickling" process is and the steps to annealing and pickling. Just subscribed and want to learn a lot more of the process. Thanks
Search TH-cam for these processes. There are a number of videos.
ITEM IS AWESOME but what is that spray that you used and what is that copper sholdring metal
The spray is My-T-Flux. The copper metals are sheet and wire.
please whats type of liquid to keep cool the wire.... water with salt, or only water........or special química
Water only
What are you wearing on your left hand holding the wire before its wrapped onto the mandrel? I've been trying to find something like that as i wind my child's by hand & eventually my finger hurt! Thanks so much! Aloha!
It's a leather finger cot that I made.
Okay thanks! & I apologize for all ofc the grammatical/ spelling errors in my first message.
Excelente, gracias por compartir, suscrito.
Great video. Do you need to do an initial annealing for wire that is dead soft?
no
Love your work! I want to do this!
Вы очень трудолюбивый человек и у вас вышла очень-очень красивая вещь! Классно! 🤩👍
Stunning work, a tip for when you have finished making it. Take some beeswax and melt it in between the spaces of the bracelet, and wipe off the excess. What that does is it stops the bracelet from plucking at your arm hairs.
Really excellent tutorial...thank you so much. 1 question: where do you buy your sanding sponges?
Harbor Freight
Очень красиво.
Даже захотелось повторить :)
Только плохо , что не понимаю коментарии.
К своему стыду не знаю английский.

I really respect your attention to detail - I am more of a leather worker but after watching this video would like to try making one of these bracelets for myself. Where, may I ask, do you purchase the swage blocks you used? - I find watching a true artisan at work very interesting.
Check the link below the video.
Where can I purchase your work ? They are absolutely stunning!!!
Nice. ✌️
I have a massive spool of 20 ga. cooper wire that's been around for years so I just did a 6strand braid, flattened it and made a frame for a stained glass piece I've been working on. I'm going to try this next. Thanks for showing how to do this it's beautiful. IT took three feet of length so it's going to be a trick but I'm game. What is the pickling solution , and what does it do? Subbed and definitely checking out your channel for more ideas.
Check out the link in the description box. It will take you to the page where you can download class materials that contain information on pickling.
@@FlatwearableArtisanJewelry awesome thank you.
Wonderful tutorial and unexpected wonderful result !!! Just a question : are you soldering with copper or silver ? Because they color seems lighter..... Thanks you so much and bye bye from Spain 😉
You can use either silver or copper solder. We carry both on our website. www.flatwearable.net/home/soldering-station/
Once you anneal the copper wire, you pickle it. Is this to say you put it in vinegar?
I used Sparex for my pickle solution
excelente. la vasija (VESSEL) que contiene.......type of liquid...?
Plain water for cooling then Sparex pickle for removing fire scale, flux, and discoloration
Youre amazing
