- Karen Carpenter without a doubt one of the most beautiful and unique singers of all time singing a song of one of the most famous women in the twentieth century, known simply as EVITA. This was a passion of mine and a love of labor and emotion put into this project. I am leaving out the politics, of that time, and focusing on the passion and love for her from the Argentinian people even unto today almost seventy years later. I fear that my platform is right now inadequate to properly give the exposure needed of this video of mine, Anyway my Sub family and lurkers, hope you enjoy, this video. Karen Carpenter had the world's sweetest, most pure singing voice. There will NEVER be another like her. What a tragic story her life was.

Unequivocally just superb. I was madly in love with Karen as a teen growing up in the 1970’s. But shame on me for not knowing that she recorded this masterpiece. Thank you so much for bringing it to light for me. I have watched hours of documentary footage of Eva but I saw today images that I had yet to see. Eva and Karen’s light shown very bright and were dimmed to awfully soon and you did a phenomenal job of representing that. Thank you again for your endeavor of love and passion that represents these two larger than life women. May their memory be eternal.

Amazing video and version by Karen. When the Carpenters released "Passage" to the world, Argentina received the music but the military dictatorship government censored this song, so the already-short 9-track album was only 8 tracks for Argentine fans. I don't know how many years it was before this version was available to them but it certainly was much later than the rest of the world (1977) and definitely after the military government crumbled in 1983.
