I did an alaskan cruise and it was my favorite vacation of all time. It was so different than any other place I had been.
Definitely had a totally different vibe than most of our trips have been. Very relaxing for us, which is not normal 😂
Enjoy your Alaskan Cruise. The most expensive part will be the excursions. We always bought 6packs of soda and waters before boarding the ship and placed them in a canvas bag with a luggage tag and Room Tag. We bring 2 bottles of wine with us as well. We found buying a case of water was overkill. We NEVER get the drink package since we are Diamond. We get 4 drinks each every day and buy whatever we want in addition. On some cruises my wife would get a soda package because she prefers fountain soda.
On day 1 & 2 everyone seems to over eat. The food lust tapers as the week progresses. Now tha T you are an experienced cruiser, you are learning the tricks. All the main dining menus are the same on all ships based on the number of cruise days. The formal nights are usually day 2 and 5 on a 7 day cruise. Have Fun!🎉

Awesome - yea this was the last Alaska cruise of the season so they were headed to Australia after dropping us off in Vancouver. We would love to get to Australia one of these years, hope you have a blast!

Thank you Tracy. It is great that we have found a way to spend this much time traveling, really a lifelong goal that we just realized we can do. 10K would be amazing - it will come eventually but soon would be so much better haha

We recorded this a couple weeks ago, got off the cruise during the first week of October. We don’t have equipment to edit and upload while traveling, plus we like to be able to enjoy as much as we can since it is a vacation for us, so we try to do all editing after we get home. I’ve never been on an alaska cruise but am very curious. My only hiccup is I HATE the cold and think I might not like it because of that. Could you share your experience e.g. did you have to wear sweaters while onboard etc… excuse my ignorance about the weather.. lol. 😅😅😅
We will definitely be bringing you along on the rest of the days to show the wide variety of weather you can expect. On the ship you will see as long as you stay under the pool deck there is no need for anything extra. Once you get to the pool deck it is definitely breezy and we had quite a bit of moisture and temps in the 40s-60s for out cruise. If you go you will definitely want layers including waterproof ones for your days in Alaska - the weather was not kind to us
I’m curious how many hours the piano player works per day. Seems like it could be a great gig.
Good question cuz it seems like most the workers are going nonstop but being an entertainer could be a sweet gig

We did not….we were able to utilize one of our offers from Royal Caribbean….we paid taxes & fees!
