I'm pretty at that point I'm using a pair of tweezers to lift off the charging board at the bottom of the phone to get full access to the LCD flex cable going through under it

@@rickstechrepairs after lifting the board. Looks like you are holding a midframe with the screen still attached and next second you are scrubbing the midframe with tooth brush. How did you separate those two? I think it's not shown on the video. I also noticed you were using hot plate surface set to 60 degrees. Can I continue without that? I really much apreciate your response mate! Good day!

Ah crap you are right I was watching after the time stamp linked
I would have peeled up the LCD flex connector and used a flat head screw driver to push the LCD out from the back, after which I use a smaller flat head screw driver to clean of any shards of glass left on the assembly
Heat is recommended, no needed but increases the risk of damage
