When you go over all of the shades on your face at the end of the film, you mess up 5.5 with 5.2. It's just a slip of your tongue. ;-). I've never seen such a great and thorough presentation of swatches. Wonderful!
This is so helpful! My winter shade match is 1.5. I can’t decide for my summer shade. Perhaps 5 or 5.9? The numbering is so strange. 1.5 is darker than some of the higher numbers! Your super lovely 🥰.

They should see it would sell them more foundations because not all people have the luxury to swatch in store (not all shades sometimes are available to swatch and the lighting is awful). Whereas, all shades are available online but we can’t decipher what suits our skin undertones and skintones.
Could you drop a picture of the swatches with the actual shade numbers into your community posts please? I’m finding it hard to keep track of the shade numbers and which they all are, it would be very helpful

I switched the labeling on those photos to 1-20 instead of shade names because the swatch photos were getting stolen so often and I couldn't get the other sites to take my work down. Hi Molly, I really appreciate your video. 🤩Would you mind helping me further? I have acne-prone olive skin that is lighter in winter and tans very quickly in summer. I tried the shade 5.75, but it is slightly too light, oxidizes, and turns reddish on my skin. I also sampled the number 6 with an olive undertone, but it seems too dark and slightly gray. Should I consider using a concealer or a primer? Or do you think the 5.8 with a golden undertone or the 5.9 with a neutral undertone might be a better fit for me? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🙏🏼♥
Hi! If a foundation is turning pink or grey it generally means you need a warmer undertone! These might be too cool or neutral for you. Hope this helps!

I have a foundation graveyard where all the unwanted colours go to die and I must have 3 or 4 Armani Silks in there that are totally wrong and it's an expensive mistake to keep making. I liked the number 2 and wanted something just a shade darker for the summer, asked the virtual person at Sephora and they said 3 would be fine. No! Totally wrong, although common sense might say that 3 is darker you've shown me that it's actually lighter and wrong undertones. I realise now, from your very useful video, that I needed another peach undertone so I'm off to order the 4.25. Thank you again! By the way, have you ever tried the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua? It's my favourite foundation for coverage, texture and how it behaves on my skin but there's so few shades and they mostly come up yellowish on me. We seem to be the same undertone so wondered if you'd had any luck with them.

I don't live anywhere near a beauty counter so I really appreciate all you've done (the cost of all those foundations are sky-high for sure). I got recommendations from Armani's virtual try-ons but truly loved that you swatched my recommendations next to the tones in the Medium group. Would love it if you would feature an olive-skinned model for the medium tones if ever you update this video ... there are a lot of us Asians watching TH-cam videos and most influencer BGs only cater to Caucasian skin. Which of these shades are considered olive? Is neutral the same as being olive? I read somewhere that 4.5 is olive but then I heard you say that 6 was classed as an olive in specific and now question whether 4.5 could be. Your insight would be deeply appreciated, thank you for a very helpful video

I was initially thinking of getting 5.1 but it seems like it oxidizes a lot and it becomes orange looking at the end of the video. What would you advise me? I wear 2N in Dior Skin Glow and 220C in Lancome teint idole ultra.
Thank you, so glad this was helpful! The Armani shades do oxidize a bit, so it's something to keep in mind. I don't know your under tone so hard to say exactly, but you could screenshot the shades in the video on your phone that seem like a good fit and then hold the phone up to your face to try and compare.
Everyone raves about this foundation so the side-by-side swatches are very helpful. Of course fresh application vs oxidation will leave me on my discovery trail a bit longer. 😁
Great to hear it was helpful! By the end of the video, the close up section on the dots, the shades have fully oxidized, if that makes finding your shade easier!
Hi I’ve always had trouble with my foundations, I had a olive foundation and it made me look yellowish, I’ve had neutral and it made me look grey, I’ve had warm and it makes me look a little orange-not natural. These have all been coloured matched at counters as well. Does this mean I’m likely cool as that’s the only undertone I haven’t tried, or would that make me grey if the neutral did? or could it be shade related and I’m going to dark?
Was Olive the closest match? I'm wondering if you could add a drop of blue foundation mixer in, if the original foundation is a bit too yellow. The blue would make it more green. This is the mixer I've used before | amzn.to/3KVYcFv If your neutral foundation went grey, that means you are warmer. If Warm went orange, that would mean you are not peach. So I'm guessing you'd be a warm olive...
@@girlgetglamorous hi again :) I have been watching your videos and followed your advice with the colour striping and applying to my cheeks, I bought samples of the Armani luminous silk from shade 5 all the way up to 6.5, and I have found my undertone with your videos, you were right I am olive. The pink and neutral 1s looked like I had a grey face, the golden and peach gave me an orange face and the olive blended really well and it looked I had no foundation on. Just purchased a full bottle in the 6 without the mixer as it’s a perfect match. I haven’t had this foundation before my previous 1 was Estée Lauder not sure why it was making me look yellow but this olive in the Armani is perfect. Your videos are really helpful I wouldn’t have know what I was doing with out watching them and following your advice thank you :)
Are Sephora’s shade matching technology correct for you? They show my Matches as 5.1 & 4 With giving Cooler for 5, Warmer 5.2 & 2 and deeper 4.5 It’s SIX options I want to buy ONE 😭

The way 3.5 is darker than 5.9?? (And 5.9 and 1.5 look like almost the same colour) - thinking I’m going to go with 5.9 though. I like the muted neutral olive undertone of 4 but probably would need something slightly darker, 5.9 looks close to that

I used Mac Studio fix powder foundation (my shade is C4) and lancome teint idole ultra wear foundation (my shade is 025) but I can not decide the shade for this foundation. I think every color similar to each other. :( Which color fits me in your opinion ?
Those are actually the two foundations I haven't tried (Mac) or been able to find a good match in (Lancome) so I wish I could be more of a help. I recommend taking a screenshot of the shades you think might work and then holding them up to your cheek or your best shade in another brand to see if you can find a good match this way. Also, turn your brightness on phone/screen all the way up before taking the screenshots. I hope you find a great match! 🧡

This shade range is a mess. The fact that shade 5 is lighter than almost all the other is weird
It’s not. 4.75 is lighter ,2 and 3 are lighter and 4 is lighter than 5 as well lol

I have a foundation graveyard where all the unwanted colours go to die and I must have 3 or 4 Armani Silks in there that are totally wrong and it's an expensive mistake to keep making. I liked the number 2 and wanted something just a shade darker for the summer, asked the virtual person at Sephora and they said 3 would be fine. No! Totally wrong, although common sense might say that 3 is darker you've shown me that it's actually lighter and wrong undertones. I realise now, from your very useful video, that I needed another peach undertone so I'm off to order the 4.25. Thank you again! By the way, have you ever tried the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua? It's my favourite foundation for coverage, texture and how it behaves on my skin but there's so few shades and they mostly come up yellowish on me. We seem to be the same undertone so wondered if you'd had any luck with them.

I don't live anywhere near a beauty counter so I really appreciate all you've done (the cost of all those foundations are sky-high for sure). I got recommendations from Armani's virtual try-ons but truly loved that you swatched my recommendations next to the tones in the Medium group. Would love it if you would feature an olive-skinned model for the medium tones if ever you update this video ... there are a lot of us Asians watching TH-cam videos and most influencer BGs only cater to Caucasian skin. If you want to increase your subs please cater to us Asians. Don't think that we can't use your links, I shop at Nordstrom even if I live in the Middle East.

Which of these shades are considered olive? Is neutral the same as being olive? I read somewhere that 4.5 is olive but then I heard you say that 6 was classed as an olive in specific and now question whether 4.5 could be. Your insight would be deeply appreciated, thank you for a very helpful video

Why is the 1.5 so yellow 😭. I recently bought it and it made me look like I have jaundice. I’m going to continue using it with a blue corrector but that was such a jump scare moment for me, looking in the mirror.

You are a true gem! Thank you for this video. I’m trying to decide between 4.75 and 5.1. I was initially thinking of getting 5.1 but it seems like it oxidizes a lot and it becomes orange looking at the end of the video. What would you advise me? I wear 2N in Dior Skin Glow and 220C in Lancome teint idole ultra.
Thank you, so glad this was helpful! The Armani shades do oxidize a bit, so it's something to keep in mind. I don't know your under tone so hard to say exactly, but you could screenshot the shades in the video on your phone that seem like a good fit and then hold the phone up to your face to try and compare.
Everyone raves about this foundation so the side-by-side swatches are very helpful. Of course fresh application vs oxidation will leave me on my discovery trail a bit longer. 😁

I’ve always had trouble with my foundations, I had a olive foundation and it made me look yellowish, I’ve had neutral and it made me look grey, I’ve had warm and it makes me look a little orange-not natural. These have all been coloured matched at counters as well. Does this mean I’m likely cool as that’s the only undertone I haven’t tried, or would that make me grey if the neutral did? or could it be shade related and I’m going to dark?
Was Olive the closest match? I'm wondering if you could add a drop of blue foundation mixer in, if the original foundation is a bit too yellow. The blue would make it more green. This is the mixer I've used before | amzn.to/3KVYcFv If your neutral foundation went grey, that means you are warmer. If Warm went orange, that would mean you are not peach. So I'm guessing you'd be a warm olive...
@@girlgetglamorous hi again :) I have been watching your videos and followed your advice with the colour striping and applying to my cheeks, I bought samples of the Armani luminous silk from shade 5 all the way up to 6.5, and I have found my undertone with your videos, you were right I am olive. The pink and neutral 1s looked like I had a grey face, the golden and peach gave me an orange face and the olive blended really well and it looked I had no foundation on. Just purchased a full bottle in the 6 without the mixer as it’s a perfect match. I haven’t had this foundation before my previous 1 was Estée Lauder not sure why it was making me look yellow but this olive in the Armani is perfect. Your videos are really helpful I wouldn’t have know what I was doing with out watching them and following your advice thank you :)
Are Sephora’s shade matching technology correct for you? They show my Matches as 5.1 & 4
With giving Cooler for 5, Warmer 5.2 & 2 and deeper 4.5

The way 3.5 is darker than 5.9?? (And 5.9 and 1.5 look like almost the same colour) - thinking I’m going to go with 5.9 though. I like the muted neutral olive undertone of 4 but probably would need something slightly darker, 5.9 looks close to that

I used Mac Studio fix powder foundation (my shade is C4) and lancome teint idole ultra wear foundation (my shade is 025) but I can not decide the shade for this foundation. I think every color similar to each other. :( Which color fits me in your opinion ?

Those are actually the two foundations I haven't tried (Mac) or been able to find a good match in (Lancome) so I wish I could be more of a help. I recommend taking a screenshot of the shades you think might work and then holding them up to your cheek or your best shade in another brand to see if you can find a good match this way. Also, turn your brightness on phone/screen all the way up before taking the screenshots. I hope you find a great match! 🧡
