Im mostly talking about under which circumstances lifestock is kept in germany or EU generally. Like they said in the video, people are buying free range eggs and expect the chickens to have a lot of free range. While in reality, its like they showed in the video, free range only means the chicken are in a not closed area with a tiny little more space. But its still not even nearly how chickes should be raised dignified.

Actually processed meat (burgers, pepperoni, hotdogs and so) are scientifically proved to be increasing risk of cancer, while red meat being a probable cause of cancer (but not 100% sure like happens with processed meat)

One small detail, it was not Monsanto Seeds flying over into other farmers crops, it was and is Windborn Pollen. The pollen from Monsanto crops, flies through the air and pollinates neighboring crops, but also depositing its Monsanto Patented Genetic Markers. When you are voting, you vote for the person you want to be pres. this in urn is seen by the state and the elector in the elector college votes on behalf of the state through popular vote and the percentages of popular vote. They are paid to vote what the people want. The reason why we see discrepancies between popular vote and electoral college, is due to the fact of the percentage of population. And the points in each state are on a winner take all basis

yeah? ok so you working an 8 hr day,, 5 days a week,, travelling to and from work,, lets say 2 hrs a day,, sleep 6-8 hrs a day,, that leaves about 5 hrs a day,, to yourself,,now,, how much food do you eat in a day? and how long does it take to grow vegetables? you would need an acre of well soiled land,,every second of those 5 hours doing hard back breaking work like weeding and digging and pruning,,,just to keep it going,, so no rest time? sleep isn't rest time its healing time,, you need at least a cpl of hours a day just chilling,, doing nothing so that your mind and body can focus on sorting itself out,,this is why some ppl are farmers full time and the rest of us do other things,, its not viable for every one of us to grow their own foods themselves,,, and now that theres so many more ppl,,, its become impossible,,for instance,,i live in a 3 floor apartment,,with a small balcony,, I tried putting large pots filled with good soil out there and growing my own tomatoes,,kale,,and peppers,,garlic,,all sorts of things,,they bloomed,,flourished,,i watered them daily,, and after several weeks,,i got a cpl of beautiful yummy natural tomatoes,,, A COUPLE

Most countries have either fazed them out or are in the process of doing so. The ones shown in the video look to be from quite a while ago as I haven't seen them used in many years, farrowing crates sizes were greatly increased , the small crates were terrible but the larger ones allow the sows to move around, they were never kept in those crates for long periods, approx 4 weeks as it was to protect the piglets from being squashed by the sow. If a sow is farrowed twice a year then she spends a total of 8 wks out of every 52wks or approx 15% of the year in a crate which as mentioned are no longer that small if used at all. That is their sole purpose, to protect the piglets not to confine the sow for her entire life. As soon as the piglets were strong enough and smart enough to avoid mum's big butt they were transferred to larger premises which depending on the operation, varies from a large pen in a housed intensive piggery, to a barn style housing right through to extensive paddocks in a free range operation. Animal activists have a habit of picking photos and video that is very old showing systems that are no longer accepted by industry or they focus on the less than 5% that do the wrong thing. These animals are a farmer's income, the better they look after them, the less stress that they are subjected to the faster they grow, they better the meat quality. Farmers aren't against transparency, farmers are against so called do-gooders trespassing on their properties which is a biosecurity breach. Say for example, an activist has been on another property that infected stock and then move to another property where they unknowingly transmit an illness, they do far more harm than even the most negligent farmer. We've seen recently that activist have left a trail of dead animals behind them, sows have aborted after being stressed by large numbers of activists stormng farms, in Spain around 100 rabbits died because activists stole their mothers leaving them to starve. They were euthanized by a local vet rather than be left to die. There were also rabbits that had their backs broken. Rather than try to shut industries down, it's far better to work with them, animals are farmed for meat, it's time these activists stopped deluding themselves and work with farmers to develop 'best practice' methods of production.
Mulesing of Merino sheep is another farm practice that received a lot of negative press, yes sheep had loose skin trimmed from their breaches , I don't like the idea of it but when I was young I worked on a farm that did it. I actually had to hold the lambs when it was done, yes there was some blood but one thing I did notice is that within minutes the lambs acted as if nothing had happened. Animals are far more resilient to pain than humans, I've seen sheep with injuries from predator attack just grazing away even though they have half their guts hanging out. What it did stop though was being blown by flies leading to maggots. Finding a flyblown sheep in the paddock was the worst thing, but due to the way the Merino sheep had been developed over 200yrs it was a fact of life. Farmers have been working on breeding the loose skin out of the sheep but it doesn't happen overnight. Each generation though makes more progress and we now have many Merino sheep that no longer require mulesing. The vast majority of farmers care about their animals, there are bad apples just as there are in all walks of lfe. Stop demonising farmers and recognise the hard work they do day in and day out to provide food for your table.

@Robin D. It depends where you are from. If you are Japanese, yes. But in many countries fruits and vegetales are produced and stored close to cities. I live in one of those. I buy almost 95%brandless stuff. I clean with cholrine that is brandless and by the gallon and vinager and baking soda. My food has no brand no package. I also grow spicies in flower pots. Toilet paper and a few things I have to buy but I NEVER do in a supermarket, only family owned stores. This is not for everybody, it requieres time. I also dont need a car since I have a bike, a public bus bet of 700 lines, subway system, taxis and ubers.

The FDA probably won't do anything to change this. But we can stop buying our good from the grocery store. We can find a local farmer and developed a relationship of trust. The farmer butchers the animal himself. You'll know where it's coming from and how the animals are being treated, and what they are being fed. We can start growing our own food!! Build a garden in your yards!! You'll know exactly where that food is coming from and the conditions it's grown in. Although, their might be a few challenges trough the winter months... But at least it's a start. We have the power to change this!!!

That's fine for some. I am diabetic(not brought on by eating junk or overeating. Mine from what my doctor said is generational). I tried vegan a few times and my blood sugar dove dangerously low. I almost had to go to the ER. I feel better when I have a good balance of the food groups and my blood sugar is more at a healthy level. We get our meat from our local butcher instead of from a meat plant. The animals are from local family farms and non gmo fed. I cook fresh and organic vegetables also and from scratch. My body can't handle being vegan alone unfortunately. I surely don't want to slip into a low blood sugar seizure. My late husband years ago suffered from that and it wasn't fun, trust me.

If you watch PETA videos you'll be shocked. They keep female cows pregnant year-round so as to get as much milk out of them as they can. And on top of that they severe the baby from the mother minutes after birth so all the milk could go to us humans. It's just a whole new level of brutality
Eat whole fruits and vegetables. Mostly one ingredient veggies. Apples, Oranges, Bananas, Tangerines, Grapes, all beans, all legumes (lentils, split peas, etc. ) All berries, mushrooms, nuts and seeds. Eat simpler. Save your health.
I'll never be vegetarian or vegan, but damn, we need new laws to treat these animals better ASAP. I'd be willing to pay more so these animals suffer less. I am going to switch to organic and free-range now. I suggest everyone seeing this does too.

The calves would not be able to digest the lactose in the milk, but for the natural presence of rennet in their stomach lining, which cause the milk to curdle into something resembling cottage cheese, which they can now digest. This biochemical process has proven handy for the solidification of liquid byproducts into something resembling cheese by a soulless industry.

So many horrible things are behind the scenes of so much we consume & use everyday. One of the best things about the internet is having knowledge about so much at your fingertips. Depends on where you live but homesteading can be done anywhere. We live in the city and raise rabbits, ducks, and chickens with zero problems. Everyone just lives happily in the yard, it requires a lot of research and failure but you can do it if you want.

but the fact that the pig cell he mentioned has a good side and used on the farm as well. Cells are too big to notice there are piglets on the side of his body so a lot of piglets can end up being sit by their mom and dead when u have a free cell.

I can tell you personally that dairy cows here in the U.S. live better lives than most of us. They sleep a full night and they get woken up in the morning so they can eat yes they're heads do get locked but only for an hour or two before they're released for milking. We literally do everything for them we bring them food and water and keep them under a roof. Sometimes it feels like taking care of hundreds of puppies or something. And when they get sick a vet will fix it.
Read "Eating Animals" by Jonathan Saran Foer. It's the best book on animal factory farming. And I've been vegan for 5 years...

The sugar that is bad for you is fructose. This is because your body is unable to change it into glucose which is what you use for energy. Sucrose can be changed into glucose however. Things that have high fructose corn syrup are bad. Cane sugar is fine however because it is sucrose.

Best way to check whether the food you are eating is ok, is to check whether you can "identify" the ingredients on the label. if you have no idea what something is, dont eat it. And if you dont know how to even pronounce it, definitely dont eat it. There is something to be said about raising and growing your own food. Even people living in tiny spaces can grow chilies, peas, cherry tomatoes or strawberries, etc, in hanging baskets/containers. Also, the more colourful the packaging, the more deadly the contents.
Go plant based and become healthy.
