- Morgott, the Omen King Rune Level 1 with a +0 Dagger (Scorpion Stinger), no talismans or buffs (only rune arc + godrick rune), extremely aggressive play, no parry and no summons.
Needless to say I love this fight, very fair and very complex
This guy is paired with Maliketh and Godfrey as best Elden Ring bosses in my opinion. His moveset is just so beautifully executed. The first time you face him he seems impossible to dodge due to how aggressive and fast he is, but with time you see how many opportunities you have to get hits. It's a fight that rewards the player who takes the time to master it.
His only flaw is having way too little health imo. The fight ends way too fast if you don't limit yourself on purpose.
I dont give a shit about how his moveset beautifully executed. I just find that this guy is so annoying to beat because he's damn fast then I use magic to drain him down lmao
Yeah I just first tried him on my first play through with +9 weapon, only on the third playthrough I decided to limit myself to low lvl weapons
I summoned my mimic tear for this fight and I really wish I didn't. This is one of my favorite fights. Thanks for not only displaying your skill, but also this awesome boss.
I also ruined the fight for myself because I wanted to see just how strong comet azur was. Turns out it was strong enough to kill him in 10 seconds.

I made the mistake of letting mimic tear carry me through the game (I stopped using it for Godfrey, radagon and malenia), now I’m doing rl1 and morgott is almost impossible to me
This has to be one of my favourite fights in the game, both thematically and gameplay wise and I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who shares that sentiment
Ikr? I love the Morgott fight. When I first fought him I had already beat Rykard so Morgott was really easy and I felt disappointed. So I decided that in NG+ Morgott would be the first demigod I killed. Love this guy
This is incredibly impressive, I'd love to see more upgrade-less fights
There is no bigger pleasure to me other than extending a boss fight just to listen to the soundtrack.

I'm glad this is the boss you did this for, he has to be my favorite boss in the game moveset-wise but he just doesn't have enough health for where he is imo :(
Fight him with no summons and go there as soon as you can without being overlevelled and he definitely won't have too little health.
Obviously very late, but I wanna thank you for this video. Elden ring recently has gotten “too easy” for me if you could say. Lvl 125-150 builds make the game fun but not too much of a challenge. I decided to do a level 1 run and while I’m not as insane as you I did run talismans and +15 uchigatana this fight stumped me. This video helped me out so much on punish windows and escape windows. Mainly that crazy ass spin hammer attack and the cartwheel sword attack. Cant wait to finish this run again I appreciate this video 👍🏻
I'm doing this fight with a bloodhounds Feng at lvl 1. It's slow enough that only one of his attacks is safely punished......fuck.
There is another but her throws it so little that it's not even worth considering seriously like 1 in every three fights.
@@disparu6007 damn man I hope that’s going well, I just got to Malekith and he gives me the most problems out of everyone. Malenia is Lowkey easier just because Ik parry timings. But if you wanna try with the serpent hunter at +10 you can script kill morgott or if you wanna stick to your run through go for it man👍🏻
@@alexandertaddy4639 nah my Margott is dead. I found out he does his jump a lot more often if you stop moving when he throws the spear.
Killed Niall to, he's easy as shit due to his parry timings and wide openings.
Haven't played since Niall died.
@@disparu6007 yes baiting that spear jump is the best opening, although he seems to throw it less in second phase from my experience. I have to go do Niall but he’s a free kill after the big aoe frost storm then he proceeds to sit there for 30 minutes 😂😂

using a great rune really kills the meaning of this tbh, because its "level 1" but that runes add in stats 40 levels bruh

@@LanPodder youre right but it is like it is, using radagon soreseal i consider it more fair for example, because its a talisman and you receive more damage, but a great rune has no drawbacks, not saying its not impressive tho

Now that's a challenge without OP +25 weapons, good job, it takes a lot of time to really know the boss to really avoid any mistakes until the very end while being consistent with the execution.
Your level 1 challenge runs inspire me a lot!

I never thought about it until now, but Scarlet Rot (and by extension any weapon that can cause it at level 1) seems like it'd be pretty mandatory to beat some bosses.
That or a bleed weapon at level 1 would work

I don't know how to dodge his blade and hammer combo. Morgott or Margit would be harder than Malenia for me to beat if he has more hp. I really love this video.
When he start combo - go to his right leg and when hi start move sword - wait a little and do roll to his tail.

The game ends with this boss for me. Everything that comes afterwards is bland.

@@Innes1 Only boss after this morgott that is worth anything is placidusax. The rest are just terrible aoe dependent bosses. Their movements are too damn fast and have little openings to them. It’s an opinion after all. Before mountain top the game is gorgeous and despite the reused assets it’s amazing to explore, but once you get to mountain top or snowfields onwards the game gets absurd.

Hell even melania has more attacks that can be punished with slower weapons.
Godfrey is a bare nuckle fist fight where both sides get to have a back and forth. His first faze is probably my favorite fight in the game.
Maliketh has a slow ass attack that he uses commonly that can be avoided by just standing close and smacking the shit out of him.
Loretta is just easy lol..
Niels two chase down moves have an opening and he uses then non stop if you keep your distance.
Fire giant....he's pretty obvious, every attack has an opener same with elden beast.
Radagon is similar to Margott tight windows and 1 or 2 reliability punishable moves with slower weapons.
people dont realize just how much patience you need to have to not get greedy and fuck this up
You can see at the very very end with the last exchange it looked like he wanted to go for that last hit but thought better of it. The temptation is strong.

God I wish the Sword Rain's X pattern covered the entire arena, kinda like how Godfrey's phase 1 Axe Explosion goes from one side to the other

With dagger he has quite a bunch ngl.
With a great curved sword you have 2 safe openings.
One is never thrown
The other is common technically but only if you don't want him to throw it.
@@disparu6007 This is just simply wrong, you just don't know the bosses openings enough.
@@NathanSavageDamage with a curved greatsword and only enough health to be one shot there are only two openings that are consistently safe. Others are more of a gamble/unreactable mixup and I'm not taking a 50/50 dodge just so I can get a light punish off.
I'm on console with a slower than average reaction time. I'm only gonna take the safe openings.
He and godskin duo were the hardest bosses on my lvl 1 playthrough imo.
(Without cheese. No summons no sorceries no sleep pots.)
@@disparu6007 It's nothing to do with health, I'm talking about not getting hit, "gambles" and "unreactable mixups" are not an issue when you learn what he will do next and learn good positioning. Many people have beating him ng+7 rl1 +0 with many charged attacks, me included. Do you think we're lucky?

If it were me, he would've spammed that double dagger counter 20 times over after a successful dodge i swear.
His combo at 3.52 was pretty awesome, that and his dual wield spinning, never seen them before...
my ultimate question is how can you see the moves that will guaranteed hit you if you're close to him coming? they pop out of nowhere, and I can't seem to notice them since they have virtually no indicator. it's destroying my level 1 run because he one shots me every time 😭
Next Up on Leviathan: Malenia, Blade of Miquella SL1, fist only, no rolling/sprinting/backstepping, no hit. Honestly, I can see it.

I wish I watched this yesterday! I lost patience to learn his moves (especially the spin hammer move) and summoned Melina to help me beat him. Oh well next playthrough it is then.

He only pulls the dagger if you dodge into him (not to the sides) during his downward two handed strike
